I am not a bowling fan and I am not good at it. Bowling Alleys will never be my happy place.Having said that, as far as bowling alleys go.... This one is alright. Strong sense of community here. Decent snack bar, with large selection, reasonable prices and outstanding iced tea. Terrible Nachos, just Salty Cheese and Saltier Corn Chips. Great cold Angry Orchard. Bonus points for offering over the counter painkillers right on the menu! The staff is great too. The efforts to keep patrons safe post pandemic were easy to see. I appreciated that they had a bottle of hand sanitizer at each table, and a handless door pull in the restroom. What I didn't like was the poor ventilation and the lack of cleanliness in the ladies restroom. The old stretched out disgusting, bowling shoes looked like the literal personification of COVID 19. To balance the scales of these issues they need to serve hard liquor. One hour before closing they threatened to turn the lights down and play romantic music! What the moonlight bowling was this unholy amalgam!!! Thank goodness I was good and gone before this happened. I laughed so freaking hard, I almost stayed JUST to witness it. While there are so many things to like about this family friendly place, it should come as no surprise that I don't plan on going here nor any bowling alley again. Four well earned stars.

I came, I bowled, ish...I was out doing the old ball versus new ball thing and what I mainly noticed was how much difference one pound makes. oh my, it's going to be a while before I can throw the 16# hammer comfortably again. at 15# the unicorn rolls easy enough but it tends to cut in hard when I slow up; bowling quickly leads to bowling poorly so having another body along would slow the pace of play favorably...Been here a few times during the day and I like it. open early, reasonable rates (4 lines $14 at this writing) the concourse and bowler's areas are clean and the actual bowling parts seem in good repair as well. yea for shiny and smooth! :-) seating area looks kinda goofy because there's no scorer's table!? instead, there's a pylon with a couple of touch pads for name, rank, and serial number and then the scoring happens by itself... funny thing is I miss scoring the games by hand and keeping the sheet for bragging rights. also, basic math was more effective than pepper spray or pointy sticks for keeping the other riff-raff away.not sure if I've ever noticed anyone at the snack bar, maybe because I'm having enough trouble just trying to bowl and eating would complicate things unnecessarily? whatever... they got one and I have no idea if it works.so, short story long: nice place, nice price, help keep it that way. thanks!

We tried Foxfire today with our family of 5 and had a blast! Technology brings the numbers up and down for the kids by name. They had a Sunday special and super yummy soft pretzels! We'll be back!

Foxfire is great for a no frills, cost efficient bowling outing. We have been coming to FoxFire for years and we enjoying coming to Kannapolis to get away from the larger crowds and higher prices in Charlotte. Over the years not much has changed inside so it is a little dated but the facility is always clean and maintained. The employees are always very friendly and there is always a special going on especially during the week. My party of 4 was able to bowl 2 games for $10, bowling shoes were included in the price. This was on MLK Monday. There was no wait time for a line and we were able to get a line with no other parties beside us, we do think the lines are a little more narrow than other bowling alleys we've been to so the space between parties is appreciated. The only issue we had this time at the lane was the floors seemed to be really slippery. My whole party was concerned that we would eventually slip during bowling but we fortunately did not. We had no issues with the lane or pins working properly. Sometimes the concession stand is open and sometime it is not, I'm assuming that depends on the time of day. I could call ahead and ask if you are expecting to order food when you get there. The front desk does take orders for fountain drinks and hot dogs but otherwise you can get snacks from the vending machines.

Lanes are in very good shape. Service at the check-in and shoe rental was great, but the snack bar service was abhorrent. The snack bar team wouldn't take an order until they had completed delivery of the prior order. When it takes 20 mins in line and 30 minutes after that to get a simple hot dog, there's a significant issue. We began rotating line-holding responsibilities in order to be able to bowl. The snack bar staff needs substantially better training.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Foxfire Lanes, and I can't recommend it highly enough! From the moment we walked in, the owner went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. Not only did they assist us in choosing and drilling our new bowling balls with incredible precision, but they also took the time to explain various techniques to help us improve our game. Thanks to their expertise, this is the first time ever that my arm doesn't hurt after hours of bowling! The custom drilling made a huge difference, and I'm now able to bowl without discomfort. Whether you're a seasoned bowler or just starting out, this is the place to go if you want top-notch service and personalized advice. We'll definitely be coming back!

Here today with a group of disabled adults. Brought in a bottle of water for my guy. Was told, "No outside drinks." So ok, I threw it in the trash and asked for a glass of water at the snack bar. "That'll be 25 cents." Are you kidding me? I can't bring my guy WATER unless I pay you ?!?! Fricken ridiculous! Where's your heart ?! 21st Century Capatalisim at it's best

Twice we have gone to Foxfire Lanes on Sunday evening to bowl and twice we were turned away because they cater to league bowlers. Their website says that they have "limited lanes" due to league bowling on Sunday but that is a flat out lie. They have NO lanes on Sunday evenings because it's ALL league bowling. So basically they don't want your business if you're not in a league. They really don't want anyone bowling there any time unless you are in a league as evident by their own website.
