So my dude and I heard great things about this place so we decided to check it out! First the ambiance was nice, loved the shuffle of music. We ordered lamb sliders which were bland and the truffle fries were over cooked and greasy. My main dish was the mushroom pasta which was delicious!!!! My dude ordered the garlic shrimp with bread, it was bland and the bread was overly toasted. Service could've been a little better. Overall it was a nice spot!

Pass. I had been wanting to try Foxcroft in Charlotte for a long time and was excited when this closer option opened up. Inside is gorgeous, staff are beautiful, food and experience are a solid 2 stars. Loved the wine flight option. Hated fighting off flies trying to dive bomb every glass on the table. We saw another table with one of those mini fans that are meant to keep flies off food at cookouts and asked if we could also get one of those. However, it turns out the fans were brought in by the people dining at the table from home. How crazy is that? To know the fly problem is so bad where you're going to eat that you bring your own bug repelling device from home. So embarrassing for the restaurant that people do this and they're still just ho hum comfortable putting a $32 salad that's the size of a side in the menu. Speaking of that salad with salmon on it. A $32 salad with salmon added. The tiny salmon portion ordered blackened came cooked... seemingly. Until you slice into it with your fork and see it's that frozen and attempted to thaw during the cooking process but instead just makes the entire inside this raw, gooey, shiny pornographic wet pink look and texture. And at the bottom of the bowl, more teasing than anything else to make it a soggy, soupy mess.No one came to ask how the food was so there's wasn't a chance to say anything so I can only assume they don't care. Wham bam, here's your $100 check for 2 people for lunch. Hope you didn't want your soda refilled the entire meal with anything but flies. Calling it "mall food" would honestly be too kind for what we had. Buyer beware. Seems like a place that could have been a great date or ladies night spot but spent too much on the overpriced of a Birkdale lease and can no longer do what they probably set out to do opening a quality dining establishment.

Having been to 2 other locations I was pretty sure this would be great too and I wasn't disappointed . In birkdale village with a lot of other restaurants around it, it was still pretty busy for a Tuesday night. Glad I had a reservation! The layout was typical of Foxcrofts, retail wine area which is quite extensive, nice patio area, and bar area seating and high tops and then more of a dining room type setting in the back. Plenty of seats !I loved our high top table away from all the noise, and our server was great giving us ample time to chit chat and catch up and then look at the menu! 2 of us went with the Spanish wine flight and the other had the Pinot noir. I loved my first glass which was the Rioja , honestly the other two I hadn't heard of but were good too. All wines had a thumbs up and we went onto order a bottle of the Rioja for the table. Food wise they have a lot of shareable small plates and main course plates. Which is the part I love. Sharing !! We got the truffle fries of course a no brainer! They are always so good and crunchy, and pair well with the wine. Super truffle taste today! Then we had the mushroom conchiglitte pasta . Super rich Parmesan sauce and caramelized onion and fried garlic. This was hearty and awesome ! Pasta Cooked perfectly and nice pieces of mushrooms. Loved this . Also tried the citrus salad, nice whole grain mustard vinaigrette and oranges, cilantro, parsley, manchengo and onions and greens. Super tasty and light . Great mix of texture and flavor. Went great with the pasta. Dessert time .... Tried the blackberry pound cake, served with whipped cream. Fresh berries. Was ok nothing crazy good or bad. Kinda heavy though. Tummy's full and a lovely evening at this new location. I'm sure I will be back here as it's closest to me until I hope they open one in Winston Salem ! Great atmosphere and service and food . This will do really well in Birkdake.

Despite the poor YELP reviews we enjoyed our first visit here! We had a great table on the patio enjoying the literal calm after storms earlier today (Hurricane Helene remnants)! Try the wine flights - great way to try a few diff of your faves! Must tries - BRUSSELS; LAMB SLIDERS and those oh so good TRUFFLE FRIES! Yummage on a plate folks!I had the mushroom pasta and it was scrumptious and a healthy serving too! The real star was our waitress MORGAN - she's the bomb.com y'all! She took really good care of us and made us feel like a valued customer! THANKS MORGAN

After all the hype, we were disappointed by the overpriced, mediocre food and poor service. Wine list was decent and wine flight options were nice. Menu was quite small, and the appetizers were definitely not made fresh as we ordered it with our first round of drinks and it came within 5 minutes before or drinks even arrived. Crisp salad was nothing to write home about especially for $12. The salmon was actually a decent portion and cooked all. Burger was what you'd expect (does not come with a side). When asked about the mussels pasta the waitress flat out told us it was horrible and would not have let us order it (not sure that's what her boss would have liked her to say about their food item). Rigatoni pasta was impressive looking but tasted like a normal vodka sauce. The best value was. 8 huge donuts (half cinnamon half powder sugar) for $10, warm and came with chocolate and caramel dip. Our waitress was horrible. Did not offer any suggestions for wine, was very short and unfriendly in her demeanor. She brought the check without asking if we'd like anything else or dessert. Would not return.

The restaurant is really pretty inside but it's very very loud. It's all hard surfaces and there is no sound absorbing materials. The service was very good. We tried the fried chicken sandwich and the mushroom pasta. The chicken sandwich was really good but could have used a sauce on it, it was a bit plain. The mushroom pasta was really heavy.... It was good but I could only eat a few bites

Went back a second time, this visit for lunch, and had a 10/10 visit again. The table next to us asked to speak to a manager, come to find only to rave about his sandwich! Of course we had to order that. My husband and I ended up switching sandwich halves and we couldn't decide on which was better!! His vote is turkey, mine is prosciutto. The bread is so soft, all ingredients so fresh, and I'm pretty positive this is my #1 spot right now!

We go there at 5pm and we were told 6:30 availability for 2 people. Walking around the area and at 6:10 got a text that table not available until 7:45pm. We are at Red Rocks instead. Really disappointed for our first time trying this place out.

Upon walking in I was accosted by a manager telling me I couldn't bring my beer in. Birkdale is a designated "entertainment district" that allows restaurants to sell alcohol "to go" so that you can walk around and enjoy a drink while you wait for a table. Foxcroft sells alcohol to go. All the other restaurants in Birkdale allow you to bring "to go" drinks in and allow you to finish them. I was told to throw my beer out or walk outside to finish it. So I walked outside and did. My wife attempted three times to order a glass of wine before they finally could accommodate her. Mind you, these were wines by the glass off of their menu. We then ordered some small plates. Focaccia for $2 and nuts for $8. See the picture to see what the bread looks like! I ordered the burger for $18. I was promptly informed by our server, who by the way has seemed less than pleased with us during this whole experience, that the burger doesn't come with any fries. So my option was to order the truffle fries for $12. So...I'm no math major, but that's 30 bucks for a burger and fries...Seen this movie before...this place isn't going to make it...
