Fort Mill Golf Club

Need to update my review. Still a cart path only course for 8 months of the year but the starter is a lot nicer and the course is always in great shape.

A beautiful Friday in Carolina today and all golfers should be out playing.I got a GolfNow discount of $58 bucks & got paired up with Nick & Mason from Indian Trail for a 12noon tee time.I've played this course three times in the last 2 years & today it played the best of all.The Greens are in fantastic condition, rolling true, well manicured and just pristine.The Tee boxes and Fairways all in excellent condition.This course plays beautifully. The Fairways are open, there is some water but not a lot. There are several holes with green side bunkers but not intrusive to the greens.Just a great all around experience today and I highly recommend this course, especially if you can get a GolfNow discount.

I really enjoyed Fort Mill golf club when I played there this past Sunday! The course is extremely walkable and is a really fun layout and challenge. The front 9 is a little more open and gives you some leeway with your teeshots but the back is much tighter and will punish you for not being accurate off the tee. It's $75 riding 18 and $45 walking 18 so a really good deal if you are able to walk. Mid-April '22 the greens were really firm and the fairways could use some work but I think they just needed some rain for the course and it'll be in great shape. Will be back!

Excellent condition right now. Front nine (Ross) and back nine (Cobb) are both fun to play. Walkable. Houses only around the edges of the property. Price is right too.

Played Fort Mill CC on June 2nd. Really disappointed in the course condition. Lot of burnt tee boxes, fairways and driving range. Some bunkers had sand and some had some type of clay looking stuff that was loaded with these little black stones. Some teeing areas were so hard you couln't put a tee in . On one tee box I had to use my driver to pound the tee in. Really poor shape everywhere on the whole course. The fee should be no more that $20.00 for 18 holes. There was more than enough rain in February, March, April to soak this place. Don't they have any sprinkler systems there? Looks like poor management and the greenskeeper needs to be replaced! Is it possible to get some grass on the driving range. Donald Ross is probably turning over in his grave! I won't play there again until they make some magor improvements.Ed A.

This is a classic layout. Spring is bringing it to life. Enjoyed playing this Donald Ross front & George Cobb back nine. Looking forward to playing there again.

Visiting from Texas. Played 18 holes the course was packed and the only time pay was slowed down was on a couple of par 3's. Everyone kept a good a pace. The greens were terrific and rolling at about 11. Wide fairways and trees were trimmed with no low hanging limbs. Definitely recommend everyone play this course. The free bottled water was a plus. All you can drink. The price was fair for the beautiful course.

Kicked off course for being 10 min behind pace. Even though we had to wait for the old ladies behind us who couldn't keep the ball in their own fairway. Was harassed by groups behind us who tee'd up less than 5 min behind us. At the turn old man at the pro shop said if we stopped playing he would give us a refund. Was probably for the best bc the course is not worth the money. And the staff sucks. Even had a greenskeeper working while we were putting. And then he almost got hit by the old ladies behind us lol. If your under 70 years old I would avoid this course at all costs

The customer service here is absolutely unacceptable. When we arrived, our reservation was "lost" so they put us in another group. We are very new players and therefore were not moving fast but were greeted on hole 2 by an employee, Ken. Being new players, we were playing best ball prior to our encounter to make sure we were being considerate of other players. He essentially told us to move faster as we were inconvenient to him and the players in front of us. He continued to stalk us at the next 3 holes to make sure we were speeding up. Our second encounter with him, he asked us to skip the hole completely. The course is fine but certainly will never go back or recommend to my many golf colleagues.

This course was just ok. The layout was really fun but the fairways and tee boxes weren't good. A lot of mud and rocks and bare spots. Not worth $55 on a Monday morning. That being said this would have been a 3.5 star rating had it not been for the staff. The arrogance and snobbery was unbelievable. You would have thought this was Augusta National the way they acted. The guy that took the reservation was rude. The guy that checked us in was rude. The guy on the course at the turn was rude. Said we needed to hurry up and "we don't play like that around here". It took us a little over 2 hours to play nine but there was NO ONE behind us all day. So what's the difference? We are all single digit handicaps so we get it but the rudeness and smug attitude from every person we came in contact with was unbelievable. Who do you think you are? Shameful but we will never be back nor will we ever recommend this place.
