Very disappointed with Sunday afternoon experience. My family of 6 waited 20 minutes for a table. We waited another 20 minutes for a waiter.A challenge with 4 kids age 3 to 8.They are short staffed.Even worse on the weekend. It might have been different if we split into a 4 and 2 top,

Tucked away next to a Food Lion Grocery store. This family restaurant serves breakfast thru lunch. Closes on Mondays and every day at 3pm. It was hectic on a Friday morning. But they clean up quick and seated me. The place is small but was packed when we arrived I had the corn beef hash, one over easy egg and a plain pancake. The corned beef hash was nicely portion. Because if it's any bigger I would've gorge myself. It was very good, well made and flavorful. The pancake was tasty and fluffy. This is the new go to breakfast place for me.

Stopped by this morning and couldn't decide breakfast or lunch. Well, wish I went with breakfast which I have had there many times before. Today I went with Veal cutlets which were listed under Italian dishes. What a mistake. Terrible!!! Just a rectangular, frozen, veal patty. Disgusting. When the gentleman at the register asked how the meal was I told him that should be removed from the menu. Like I said I had eaten there many times before and have enjoyed the food, quantity, and fast, courteous service. Please don't ruin your day by getting this dish.

Fort Mill Family Restaurant deliver on taste, but it's also easy on your wallet. You'll appreciate the reasonable prices, especially if you're feeding a hungry crew. The menu was a delightful mix of classic family favorites and innovative dishes, all made with locally sourced ingredients. The kids were thrilled with the children's menu, which offered a variety of healthy and tasty options. If you're looking for a place that combines great food, a family-friendly atmosphere, and a love for the local community, look no further than this gem in Fort Mill. It's one of our favorite restaurants in Fort Mill and a repeated customer.

I have visited here several times. I always receive great service and food. One of the highlights is the coffee they serve. I only wish my daily coffee at home tasted as good as theirs does. The booths are comfortable. I have always had a positive experience here.

I placed a to go order that was wrong when I arrived to pick up. instead of recooking the entire order to make sure it's all warm they just recooked the portion that was wrong. so I paid $35 for lunch for 2 and it was cold and the portions are a lot smaller than they were in years past. I mentioned this to the manager and she said no this isn't true. I've been going to this restaurant for years- I know we now are receiving a lot smaller portions- at least make them warm!!!!

What's not to like about a small town diner? I've never had a bad meal and poor service and go regularly. Some days/times are busier than others but that's to be expected when you're successful.

FESsing up about Fort Mill Family Restaurant: If you wonder where everyone is on Sunday brunch, this is the hidden (well, not so hidden) place. Be prepared to wait but it was worth it. F(ood): Great chicken and dumplings and solid fried okra. I wasn't a huge fan of the broccoli (would have liked it softer and some more salt which I could add of course). My daughter had a good portion of silver dollar pancakes and they were tasty and crisp bacon.E(nvironment): Nothing spectacular here but patrons don't come for the view. S(ervice): The hostess very pleasant but to be honest most other people who worked there had a scowl on their face or seemed not happy to be working. I will return on a weekday and try out some other food and see if perhaps the servers, cashiers, etc were just having an especially tough Sunday the day I came.

We have been coming here for almost 7 years and do like it. In our earlier visits it was old, seedy and pretty much beat up. Their redecorating makes it clean, comfortable, easy on the eyes and a place you want to bring others.Regular southern menu for breakfast and lunch. Is open Thursdays through Sundays for dinner and the menu has plenty to choose from. Has an outdoor patio area, so is great for clement weather. Service is accomplished by well-experienced staff. Coffee is endless and so is iced tea. Prices very reasonable.Egg, pancake, waffle, omelette and all the regular breakfast meats. Do like the omelettes that they will alloy you to tailor to taste. The prize for me is the hash-brown potatoes, done their way. And their special hash browns, loaded if you will, are a meal alone, or can be a side for you at a slight up-charge...but worth it.For some strange reason there is a scarcity of real hash browned potatoes available. The menu SAYS hash browns, but you get those fried potato chunks instead. Well...here they take boiled potatoes, slightly smush them and put them on a grill. You get soft yummy potatoes along with that crispy edge. They are really good. Try the loaded version, also.It is diner food. Tons of sandwiches, burgers and plate specials. Given the daily specials, Gyros and some other items, there must be a Greek lurking in management, and most likely in the kitchen, as the food and menu reflect their great restaurateurs touch.Call if you will have a group over four people. They do have regular groups of people who meet there on certain days, so they have to arrange tables to accommodate larger groups.Local, but nice.
