Forest City Fish Camp & Catering

Well if you want alot of food for your money...this is the go to place they pile it high...of course seafood. The only thing is I'm-not a fried food fan...but have got to admit the batter they use is very light...fish is always fresh...it's self service...pay...sit...no waitresses or waiters...I'm not a fan of that either...if I'm going out to eat I want to be waited on. But with that aside...the food is very good.

Seafood is great and they aren't super expensive. You may have to wait a bit for your order depending on how busy they are.

Surprisingly not super greasy the way most fish camps tend to be. They also have a nice menu selection and extremely reasonable prices. It's by no means gourmet or hipster, but it is very decent, honest food. I'm a snob, but I can't really find much to say about this place that isn't pretty good.

Our family and friends have always enjoyed our visits and always enjoy delicious meals with great portions and very friendly staff. We've ordered a variety of choices from their extensive menu and found them each to be equally delicious. Some we love are the fried flounder, clam strips and scallops; the grilled Mahi Mahi: the pulled pork barbecue plate; and the Ribeye steak! You just can't go wrong. The soups are delicious on a cold evening as well. I love that the waitress greets you warmly and with a bowl of warm hush puppies. And I like that your condiments are available at all times but off the table and neatly stored out of the way when not needed. It's just a great little hometown Fish Camp with lots of other great food options. (Pay with cash and save a little money.) PS they're currently renovating and making a great little place even better.

Went to a classic car show in Forest City and on the way home found this place. Reminded me of Allen's Clam Bar in New Gretna NJ. We had the fried platters. Portions are Large enough that we had the same meal the next day. Food was a 4.5/5. By far, their Ice Tea was the best we ever tasted. The secret is a pinch of baking soda in a gallon of ice tea. It will change the way you drink tea, hot or cold. If we are in that area again, we would go back to FCFC&C

Good food, good value and very friendly service! Jumbo shrimp was awesome ! For $15 you get 3 choices of fish or shrimp with hush puppies, fresh and coleslaw!

Had a grilled and a broiled dinner at fish camp tonight. Usually we go and have a nice dinner but tonight everything but the baked potatoes was cold. Hush puppies were room temperature, scallops were barely lukewarm as were the shrimp for both of us. I also had grilled chicken and it was barely warm. The coleslaw was also room temperature and my wife is feeling kind of sick right now.We would have told the waitress but she never came back to ask us how everything was or to refill our drinks.Usually having dinner here is a good experience but not this time. It was pretty bad.

Best choice of seafood in Forest City, North Carolina. If you like hometown atmosphere with a smile, this is a great place!

We were in town from MS visiting our daughter and found this restaurant on Yelp. We are so glad we did. The food was wonderful and very reasonably priced for the amount of food. The service was also amazing. My daughter and I got the big platter. I got it broiled and she got it fried. Both were so delicious. Don't miss out if you have a chance to go here.
