Fleming's was a delightful experience that delivered on its fine dining promise. The interior exudes elegance, setting the perfect tone for a special evening. Let's talk about the food--the roasted sweet potatoes with brown sugar were absolutely to die for! The flavor was simply incredible, and they paired perfectly with the chipotle mac & cheese. The mac & cheese had a lovely crust on top and a creamy texture at the bottom that made it irresistible. I didn't order any meats this time, but I'm already looking forward to coming back to try their certified Angus beef ribeye. The blueberry lemon drop was another highlight. It looked gorgeous and tasted just as good--definitely a drink I'd recommend on your next visit! Our server, Allyssa G., was outstanding. She was attentive throughout the night, ensuring our water glasses were always full--a rare but much-appreciated touch. Her excellent service deserved a great tip, and I was more than happy to oblige. To top it all off, my party and I celebrated a friend's birthday on the evening of January 15, 2025, and Fleming's went above and beyond to make it special. They surprised us with complimentary champagne for a toast and gifted my friend a small box of chocolates. This thoughtful gesture was the best birthday offering I've seen at a restaurant. Kudos to Fleming's for making the night unforgettable! Here are pictures of the restaurant, the menu with prices, and my food and drinks.

If we were rating just the hostess, it would be negative stars. We called ahead to make a reservation. We were told that the reservations were full, but that we could wait for a table and that it would be about 30-60 minutes. In town for a special occasion, we chose to go and simply wait for a table. After walking about half a mile in 20° windy weather in the evening to the restaurant, wearing nice clothes and shoes, we were told that they didn't have a waitlist. We explained that we had just called a few minutes prior and that we were told to come down and put our names on the waitlist. The hostess became extremely rude, accused us of lying, and told us that our only option was the one open high-top table in the bar. We patiently reiterated what we were told and shared that we were there to celebrate. "The bar or nothing" she barked at us. Seeing as we didn't know the area and if there were other options around, we took the "table." It was extremely small, which makes sense since those tables are meant to have a drink or two, not enjoy an expensive high-end meal. The server saw what happened and did his absolute best to save the evening as much as he could. He was extremely conscientious regarding food allergies and made excellent suggestions on how to work around them. He even went so far as to comp the dessert for the person who we were celebrating. The food and service were great - the hostess killed our overall impression of Fleming's. Sitting at a tiny table in a loud bar is no way to enjoy a $300+ meal for two on a special occasion.

The steak was cooked to perfection and great quality. The lobster bisque was flavorful but just okay in my opinion. The chocolate brownie dessert was a showstopper and I highly recommend that! The wine selection was great too.The ambiance is fancy, but the service doesn't match. We were sat and brought bread. We waited at the table for about 10 minutes before someone brought us water. We were ready to order! After flagging down the hostess, she helped find a waitress. She took accountability, apologized and came to take our order - our reservation started 20 mins prior! We ordered a bottle of wine and appetizers. There was a noticeable time in between when the wine and appetizers were delivered, to when she came by to take our entree order. We were done for a while and the wine was more than half gone due to the wait time. Someone came by to pour the rest of our wine into our glasses (they weren't empty yet), which was the rest of the bottle. They asked if we wanted more, but we declined and continued drinking slowly to savor it for the main course - steak! Our food was delivered, we ate. She came to take our dessert order after we had already finished the steak. We came for queens feast, so they knew we were going to be ordering it already. All of the course orders could have been taken more promptly. After dessert, we waited around with empty wine, empty water and finished dessert. We had to ask for a check! The waitress apologized again for the beginning after giving us a check - this would have been okay if we were taken care of and promptly attended to the rest of the evening. We were in there about 2 hours, which increased our parking ticket charge. They say there is validated parking, but not for the garage!!! It was $6 each half hour I believe, so $24 in total on top of the meal. We would have just ubered at that point. To note, it was not that busy in there when we went during the weekday. The food was great - props to the kitchen! The service was lackluster and made this a frustrating date night.

Went to Flemings for Tomahawk Tuesday. The steak and sides we ordered were outstanding. We enjoyed the night out and the service from Bryan as well as the entire wait staff was top notch. I highly recommend Flemings for a great night out.

Tomahawk Tuesday it is!It delivered. The restaurant is more on traditional steakhouse feel, dark and woodsy. The service was excellent. Shout out to our food steward Jose. The tomahawk steak was cooked to our liking. The sides and salads were equally tasty. I recommend the valet parking rather than the public garage parking near Omni hotel which is 30 bucks for 2.5 hours.

First time but not the last time I'll be visiting. We attended on a Saturday, and we were promptly seated. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The ambiance had low lighting & it's very romantic. The drinks we're delicious & the alcohol was nicely distributed .We started with the seafood tower, crabcakes & stuffed mushrooms. Follow up by the Lobster tails ,Tomahawk steak, mashed potatoes & creamed spinach. 5 stars all around. Food was presented timely, it was hot & delicious.

I had recently moved from Florida to NC about 4 months ago. Flemings would not typically be one of my places to visit in a new state since we had one in Florida as well, but we were gifted a gift card and stopped by for date night. We sat at the bar to enjoy their social hour. The drinks were delicious as well as the food. We had the beef carpaccio(delicious, wouldnt recommend the cheese baked on the bread as it added a bit more salt to the saltiness of the capers), tuna wontons were over sauced (runny from the sauce) but flavor wise was great. We finished with the tempura shrimp, the shrimp itself were cooked perfectly and they were super meaty. The apricot sauce underneath did not have any horseradish incorporated into it as stated on the menu but I didn't mind. Now for the best part! GARY! GARY was the bartender we had the pleasure of serving us! He went beyond his job of serving us and recommended some amazing places to visit in NC. He was very attentive and gave great recommendations.

We had a wonderful anniversary dinner at Fleming's. Our server Dora was fantastic, she went over and beyond. Made sure our drinks were filled and attended to our wants and needs. The food was top notch, the tomahawk was by far the spotlight of the light. Super juicy and flavorful, no wonder why it's ranked on charlottes top 3. The chipotle mac and cheese was delicious as well, we added the lobster to it and wow super flavorful. We also had the Brussels sprouts, I've had better but still very good. It had a sweet tangy flavor and the char was perfect. For the desert, I went with the crème brûlée and my husband chose the lava cake. The crème brûlée was fresh and had a big vanilla flavor after every bite, but the lava cake was a wonder, they make it in house right on the spot and who doesn't like a melted chocolate cake. Highly recommend giving Flemings a try especially for their tomahawk Tuesday deals.
