I selected a delectable grit bowl, complete with a cooked egg and a savory salmon patty of my choice. In my enthusiasm for salmon patties, I couldn't resist ordering an extra one. The grits, once adorned with a generous dollop of butter and a pinch of salt, achieved perfection. However, I found myself yearning for more eggs; typically, I indulge in three scrambled eggs. The salmon patties, though, stole the show with their abundant flavors that reached their pinnacle when dipped into the creamy grits.I contemplated indulging in a slice of cake, but to my surprise, the sole flavor option available was pumpkin spice. I had the raven grits bowl and it was delicious. We ordered from the takeout window. Not sure if they have an inside seating area. Highly recommend!

A nice family establishment situated in the middle of town. You feel the love as soon as you walk thru the door. Food is cooked to order so you have to have some patience. The owner Stephanie came out and talked to us made me feel like I've known her forever. Will revisit if I'm ever in that area again.

I come here from time to time for a sweet treat, but here lately Ive heard a lot of chatter about the grits. Of course, I need to try these amazing grits so I came by for brunch one day and wanted the shrimp & grits. Unfortunately, they were out of shrimp so I got the grits with the salmon patty. I was very impressed with the taste and portion size. Honestly, I was skeptical about the salmon patty because I really wanted shrimp, but after tasting it, I was i heaven! I would highly recommend the grits for sure. I only gave 4 stars for the following reason: they never have a lot of selection of sweets. When I came by, I was hoping for a piece of cake to top off the experience, but they only had brownies, which looked really dark and rich, which wasn't what I was going for although I know they would be delicious. Otherwise, the restaurant itself is clean, cute and quaint. I'll definitely be back!

First of all, it's hot as hell in there. They need to turn the air on. Secondly, the young man at the front taking orders needs some more training in customer service, specifically making eye contact with your customers, smiling, and looking at them directly when you're speaking. I could barely hear what he was saying because his head was down and his voice was low. I'll give him some grace since he's young and perhaps he will learn and improve. In addition, it would be nice if customers walking in the door were greeted with a friendly hello or welcome or a smile. That lets me know that you're happy to see me because you know, or should know, that I could have taken my business elsewhere. There was no friendly greeting with this business.I also noticed that NO ONE was wearing a mask. No hand sanitizer at the front for the young man and young lady taking orders and bagging the food. Being a person of color, I want to support black businesses but not just for the sake of supporting them because they are black. I expect a high level of service from them.Now, onto the food. I ordered the shrimp and grits. Absolutely AMAZING!!! Delicious creamy grits with shrimp and cheese seasoned just right. They were prepared in a reasonable amount of time and they were hot! I will definitely be returning to get some more of these as well as try other things on their menu. I've heard fantastic things about their stuffed French toast. Maybe next time I will see an improvement in the customer service aspect.

Stopped by for breakfast the other morning, it was my first time here. Wasn't quite sure what was good so I stuck with what I knew (oatmeal) and also opted to try something for lunch as well (salmon patty and home potatoes). I am what you call an oatmeal snob, it has to have the right texture, the consistency of the liquid must be just right....needless to say I know oatmeal. And, I must say sweet baby Jesus this is some darn good oatmeal. The flavors from the fruit mixed with the almonds provided the right amount of crunch. The combination of everything was splendid to my taste buds. It comes with a side of toast (raisin or wheat) I chose wheat - which was what it was toast (kinda heavy on the butter side). The salmon patty was cooked right and seasoned well, the potatoes were on the heavy salty side. I could only eat two then had to toss them, which was a bummer because I was looking forward to eating them. I gave it three stars because I wish I had been asked when I walked in if it was my first time there. Just so I could have been made aware of their specialty items, when I was standing there waiting on my food I heard someone order the grit bowl with hash browns instead of grits. This wasn't mentioned anywhere on the menu so how would I had known. The three kids working the front were busy laughing at the name of the door dash order to engage in any conversation or answer any questions. If I lived in this area, I would go back and explore more menu options.

Good food I love the salmon and the desserts they never miss... wish they had a earlier opening I would order during the week but the food is something I look forward to on the weekends

Placed an order through door dash and this was the quickest I've ever been delivered food. Food was hot and fresh. I got the grits, egg, and salmon bowl with pancakes. I didn't care for the salmon patty but the grits were really creamy and I liked that. It wasnt bad I just don't care for salmon patties. The pancakes were light and fluffy. I would definitely order from here again but of course choose something I actually like to eat.

Horrible atmosphere, not modern or inviting. Not open on Mondays? Felt like eating is a plantation kitchen. Wtf
