Evoke Coffee

While visiting Charlotte, my son told me about Evoke, and I decided to give them a try. Very relaxing vibe. The owner, Joe, was so nice and easy to talk with. Nice music playing in the background and the space is roomy enough for customers to work or sit back and relax, like me, enjoying their morning pick-me-up. I asked Joe about a drink I saw on their page. The Chill Bee is an Espresso Latte, with house made lavender and honey. Very good suggestion since I normally have those flavors with a matcha. Definitely will be back the next time I'm in town.

I kept hearing about Evoke from a few friends so I checked it out this past Saturday with my friend who looooves their coffee!They setup in CLT Hub a few days a week I believe. I reviewed that space already. It's super chill and has everything you need as far as drinks and such go :)We got there about 9am Saturday and didn't have to wait long for our drinks. I ordered the vanilla latte with oat milk and it was pretty great! Brewed to order like I like. Super flavorful and hot! The owner, Joe, is there making your order and he's so personable and nice! He even came around and let us choose an affirmation from a stack of cards he had. Loved this so much!!! It's so dope when businesses add an extra unexpected positive element to your experience! I'm sold! Love this spot and will be back often!

What can I say but besides I'm a fan ! I'm not even an avid coffee drinker but I will find me myself here more often for sure . A friend and myself stopped in today to indulge and explore the coffee/latte menu . We both ordered the blueberry cinnamon and it was love at first sip. Not only did we have cute glass cups but they came with cute glass straws as well so perfect for a photo op. The owner Joe was so friendly that we stayed over a hour just sitting in chatting with him . One other thing that stands out about this coffee shop is when you come in he hands you a stack of affirmation cards and you pull one and read yours for the day I thought that was a nice touch to our experience here. He let us sample a new flavor called cinnamon peach and oh my gosh be gosh we were at a lost for words we ended up ordering another cup of coffee to go . Rainy days are a great reason to venture out for coffee, right? Jk...every day is a great day for coffee... especially when it comes with homemade ingredients. I stopped by Evoke for a to-go cup of coffee and ended up taking a seat and having a dope conversation with Joe...he's the owner and the curator of the vibes here. I ordered a Cinnamon Blueberry coffee w/ Oat Milk and it was delicious. The syrups are homemade, which just adds to the deliciousness with every sip. This isn't hype... it was really good!! With my cup of coffee, Joe had me pull a card from the affirmation card deck and it definitely brightened my day. I came here for coffee and got an affirmation too!! Yes, I will definitely be back. Good to know: As of right now, the hours are only offered in the morning before noon and while there is a bar... no, shots will not be provided with your coffee. Be sure to follow them on IG to see the weekly hours and upcoming events because coffee is definitely being served to the community on the regular.

Popped in while looking for a Black-owned coffee shop in Charlotte. Loved the atmosphere, the welcome, and the coffee. Got the coffee for takeaway because parking is weird at the location. I parked around the corner and chanced getting coffee quickly without returning to a citation on the windshield or the car getting towed. Next time I'm visiting Charlotte, I'd have to figure out public transit if I return to Evoke. I'd like to give them my dollars.

I absolutely love this coffee!!! It taste so good and I'm not a big coffee drinker but Evoke is tasty! He really enjoys what he does and you can taste it in the coffee. The blueberry cinnamon is probably my favorite flavor but they are all so good (I've tried chill bee and caramel). Walking in and seeing his positive attitude and is genuinely happy to see you just adds to your day! Will definitely be going back for more. Added plus he lets you pick an affirmation card to add that positivity to your day.

The coffee and the service was on point! The atmosphere was very peaceful and inviting.
