The first thing you notice when stepping into Everest Grill on Highway 16 in Denver, North Carolina, is the exceptional cleanliness, which is further reinforced by the 100 health score proudly displayed on the wall. The restaurant has a diner-style setup where you order at the counter, and the friendly staff brings your food to the table. The menu offers a wide variety of great choices, and I settled on the gyro plate. The front staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. My meal included a Greek side salad, which was super fresh and flavorful. The gyro itself was soft and pillowy, and the tzatziki sauce tasted homemade--definitely a dish I would recommend.

I'm not from the area so I wanted to try the sweet tea the two older females at the register was very rude, one of them told me I had to pay in order to taste the tea which I said that's fine and I proceed to purchase the drink and I left and sipped the drink and it gave me a a metal after taste like the container was not properly clean. So I returned the drink and asked if I could replace it and the other lady walks up and says "how do you walk in a place and ask .. " i said I didn't like it so I would like something different I didn't like the tasteShe grabbed the cup and squeezed it and got tea over my hand slam the drink out the cup and chug a cup full of ice in my cup and as I ignored their ignorance I told them to have a good day and the lady that snatched the cup out my hand continued to speak under her breath as I walked outI spent 3.06 for a drink that was no good I deserve a new drink I spent my money for a good product and if you don't produce that then don't sell it.

It's been a number of years since I have been here but tried it again for lunch today. We moved over to Denver from Cornelius NC 2 1/2 years ago and this restaurant has never made it into our restaurant rotation even though I love Greek Cuisine. Reviewed the menu online before I went over (less than 3 minutes from my house) and decided on the Souvlaki Sandwich which is Pork, Tomato, Onion, Tzatziki Sauce on a Pita. For a side, I was going to get the Fried Onion Rings along with Unsweetened Tea.Apparently, they have remolded since the last time I was here but that was probably 6 or 7 years ago. Big improvement because everything is nice and fresh and clean and aesthetically pleasing.Walked in and was directed to the counter where the hostess directed me to their menu board to my left. A little different from the online menu but the items I had wanted to order were still there. After I llaced my order and they gave me my tea, I found a table and sat down and waited for my lunch.15 minutes later, a young lady showed up with my lunch.Portions are large and very filling, and the Fired Onion Rings are great. The Souvlaki on the other hand was a bit disappointing. The Pork was so overcooked that it had a very chewy texture and almost on flavor. The Tzatziki which is supposed to give a contrast was little more than sour cream.Reviewed a review I wrong on a different web site years ago,, the menu has shifted from a menu with a heavy Greek inspired menu to a more Americanized version. That in of itself is a tragedy. Will go again and this time just stick with an Americanized Cheese Burger.

One and Done wanted something fresh typically Greek is ALWAYS fresh I ordered the salad with chicken. The lettuce was wilted and the cucumbers looked as if the made the salad the day before well and just put chicken on it and what kind of Greek restaurant doesn't have hummus or and did I mention the serve it with crackers you've got to be kidding me.

I had a quick need for quick shrimp and perch. Tarter sauce is good. Cocktail sauce needs horseradish. Met my need.

My family tried dinner here and we were not disappointed! We all love Greek food. I ordered the Gyro Platter it came with 2 sides and a nice warm soft pita. Lots of meat and tasty. My sides were Fried Okra and Homemade Onion Rings. My mom and sister had the Chicken Souvlaki on a Bed of moist rice and roll plus 2 sides. They tried fries and potatoe salad. Both of them really enjoyed it as well. Definitely will be back.

We have eaten here for years. Today they were very rude and condescending. My wife and I ordered hamburger steak with grilled onions. This is what the menu said. We received mushy boiled onions, pure mush. I mentioned to one of them that the food was great but that the onions appeared boiled. She snapped back at me that yes they are boiled and that's exactly how they are supposed to be. Then a smart "thanks for letting me know and if you want the grilled just tell us ". The menu says grilled but you get mushy boiled which you wouldn't be expecting. Anyway we looked at the menu again on the way out, it says grilled onions. I called once I confirmed this, I didn't appreciate how we were talked to. Again, I was told that the onions come boiled although the menu says grilled and that they "were not going to change their menu after 20 years because someone didn't like it" , although it is false advertising. Then she hung up on me. Also my wife picked up some sweet and low from a table for her tea, one of the ladies yelled across the store , to my wife, " there are condiments on every table " totally unnecessary comment and was meant to be critical. Don't know what's going on, everything in there looked mad. Won't go back.
