Empire Pizza- Newport

My visit on 12/6/24: (3pm)My sister and I have gone here on occassion, probably 4-5 times in past year. I've tried different items. And all have been very good. The service is great, friendly, and fast. The restaurant is clean, bathrooms clean, atmosphere welcoming. I had buffalo boneless wings this time with fries. My sister had a Ceasars salad ( I think) and a slice of pizza. Some may think her pizza is over cooked, but she and I both love the pepperoni crisp!

We had a great experience at Empire Pizza! Although I only have a picture of one of our salads, we also had wings, which were delicious. I enjoyed the Parmesan fries. Our server was great! She was a great conversation list without lingering too long. We were a party of six and they took care of us. The environment isn't loud, but it is definitely busy. It was full of families. We were still able to hear each other talk without straining. The next time we are in town, I would definitely try the pizza.

Love this place but I am disgusted at one of the servers there. A customer told the server to give a homeless man that had walked in the restaurant $100. Instead, he pocketed the money for himself. I believe his name was Zach or Zane something like that. It is disgusting.

One of my favorite locations for Empire Pizza! The service can be slow, but the food is always good. They are always packed, but still very attentive and kind. The vibe is a fun pizza pub that your family can enjoy!

Empire Pizza of Newport is the go to for pizza, salads, burgers, wings, wraps and a lot more! The service is always on point! We usually request Melissa if she's working and she is always so attentive and kind! The environment is always so friendly and and we feel like we are family when we go there!

This review is updated to review their curbside pickup. I preface it with the fact that I understand restaurants are short handed. My point is, if you have this issue, don't offer curbside pickup. Wednesday Night7:37 - place order. Large Cheese Pizza and 12 wings. I am told 20 minutes. 7:57 - I receive an automated text telling me my order is ready. So far so good!8:00 - I call restaurant to let them know I am there. I am on hold for 5 minutes. They pick up and can't find my order. After getting my name and phone number, they finally find it. They tell me they will be right out. It is now 8:05. 8:14 - no one has come out. So I go in and they have 3 girls answering the phone and man are they ringing. It reminded me of the Seinfeld car rental scene. They are good at taking the "reservation" but they aren't good at delivering the "reservation." I have to wait a couple of minutes for one of them to free up and at 8:16, I finally get my order and I leave.On a positive note, the girl who helped me was apologetic. It's not her fault. This is 100% on management. You guys need to figure this out.

Great meal to celebrate a birthday in our family! Our server Zack was incredible with close attention to detail and really fun!And the manager Rose was excellent to work with to set up our reservation and made a point to make it an extra special celebration! Great meal and even better staff, will be back many many times!!! Thanks!

Wings were great. Beer was cold. Staff was friendly and we were seated quickly. Nice sports bar/restaurant.

I give a 3 based on my personal experience. I decided to try the chicken tender "platter" which was 5 tenders and a side. I chose to upgrade my side to a garden salad for +$2 which was a good choice because the salad was very fresh and a generous serving ...not so much with the "tenders ". My 5 tenders would have easily fit in a coffee cup...they were about the size of a McDonalds nugget but not nearly as good. They were mostly breading and cooked overdone and tough. By contrast my wife and the couple we were with got pasta dishes which were very generous servings and very good.

Always liked this place .. but not today.Requested seat away from door (if you know, you know) that seemed like a hard request. Appetizer was good, hot. Pizza was not hot, at all, & overcooked.I usually like cold pizza, but not when sitting 10 feet from the oven.Pasta meal was cold, pasta was mushy.Needless to say, I'm disappointed!!
