Emmy Squared Pizza - Plaza Midwood

Good Paulie Pizza (4/5): Very good flavors, but I would've preferred a crispier crust (it was also too doughy inside). The smoked Gouda was fantastic, and I liked the sausage as well. I liked that there wasn't much sauce. I'm honestly not sure if it even had any sauce.Big Ang Pizza (2/5): Not a fan of the ricotta at all. I also didn't love the vodka sauce. The sausage was good though. Same issues with the crust that the Good Paulie had. (I added my own hot honey and that made it a lot better). *Pretty small pizzas for the price...RATING SYSTEM5 - Great (Need to get this again)4 - Good (Would get this again)3 - Ok (Might give this another shot)2 - Not Good (Won't get this again)1 - Bad (Telling people to avoid this)

The pizza was amazing! We don't go out for pizza often because we have a pizza oven and make our own pizza most of the time. We did the margarita and made our own custom pizza. We also had the Cesar salad - also delicious. The service was just okay. At first, we asked the sit outside. All of the tables were covered in pollen and we had to ask to have them wiped. None of the umbrellas were up and it was super sunny so we ended up switching to be inside. The service was fine but didn't go out of their way to help you.

This time around I asked for a to go. It took a bit longer than expected and as it was communicated. Originally I was told 10-15 minutes and it took at least 40 mins. The pizza however as it was in my first visit to the south east location- worth every minute of the way. The dough of Emmys pizza is delicious and I'm always a happy satisfied costumer afterwards. Price tag goes along with the quality of this pizza so price range is similar to most however pizza is smaller. Still pretty good deal. If you haven't tried their pizza or visited this location I'd recommend coming to this one due to space and it's very very charming I dare say a romantic elegant cool chick vibe at night, I'd be happy if a date brought me here, just saying :)

This place was excellent and I'm only sad we didn't know of it before accidentally venturing into this part of town. They have a lot of Gluten Free options and everything we had was amazing, including the margaritas!Our service was exceptionally friendly even though they were dealing with being understaffed on a holiday weekend. The mozzarella sticks are massive and amazing, get them.

Today was a FIRST...I loved Emmy Squared Pizza since it first opened in Plaza Midwood. My husband and I raved about it! But our experience for dinner today was something we will never forget. While we were seated inside a booth drinking and eating, something caught our eye and it was a mouse on the floor crossing over from one booth to another. I immediately dropped what I was eating and my husband ran up to the host to notify him a mouse was in the restaurant. The host alerted our waiter, and the waiter alerted his manager. However, it seems like none of them were as shocked or disturbed as we were. We thought this must have happened before. The manager came to our table to let us know she heard of the mouse, but she also lied to us that she never knew they were behind the walls (we later found another Yelp review that mentioned the mouse a year ago!). Nothing was done about our situation, like moving us to another table or taking care of our bill for the dining inconvenience (I WAS GROSSED OUT!!!). I honestly felt a little sick after I left the restaurant, constantly thinking back about the situation...just traumatizing!!!!! We even saw the host seat another party that came in to dine-in right where the mouse was...UGH!!! Anyhow, I thought the manager should have handle the situation a little better after our dinner was disrupted, we were disgusted sitting there, and me wanting to leave right away to go home and take a shower. Also, the HEALTH DEPARTMENT needs to come out immediately for inspection (not on just this restaurant, but probably for the entire building).Needless to say we won't be returning. I was very sad this situation occurred, and hope the restaurant really does hire a proper exterminator this time around to take care of the rat infestation.

My mother, sister, and I came here for an early dinner on a Saturday evening. My mom and I had previously tried Emmy's takeout in Athens and were impressed. My sister was looking forward to trying it for the first time! We arrived for an early dinner and the restaurant wasn't busy at all. There is a parking lot near by that offers free, but limited parking. The ambiance has an industrial feel to it. We were slightly disappointed with the service, as it was slow.We started with the shaved brussel sprout salad and the cheesy garlic sticks. These took a while to come out. The garlic sticks included six large cheesy garlic breadsticks with parsley pesto, and spicy tomato dipping sauce. The pesto is very strong, my sister didn't enjoy them as much because of that. The shaved brussel sprout salad included Pickled red onion, cashew, blue cheese, dried cherries, and a miso dressing. My mother and I love this salad! It has so much unique flavor and all the various components of the salad compliments each other nicely. For our pizzas we opted for the Big Hawaiian, Big Ang, and MVP. The pizza took a very long time to come out. When it did arrive, they explained to us that one of the pizzas was undercooked and that was the cause of the long wait. The Big Hawaiian included ezzo pepperoni, crispy bacon, pineapple, and chile glaze. The sweetness of the pineapples and heat of the chile glaze work so well together! All of us really enjoyed this pizza! The Big Ang included house made vodka sauce, ricotta, double pecorino, italian sausage, and banana peppers. This was a really unique pizza, but was our favorite. The ricotta is very creamy and plentiful, the vodka sauce is subtle, the sausage adds a smokiness, and the banana peppers are the perfect addition. The MVP is a bold pizza including house made vodka sauce, red sauce, garlic parsley pesto, and a sesame seed crust. The flavors are all very strong, but in the best the way. The pizza was served very hot and the edges of the crusts were crispy to perfection!Overall, we enjoyed our meal at Emmy's. The service was slow, but they did take off a charge for one of our pizzas due to the delay! The pizzas were all quite tasty and the starters were satisfactory. This was a very filling meal and we definitely took home leftovers. Always will look forward to eating at an Emmy's and will probably return to a location at some point.

The food is good and the vegan cheese pizza is nice as well. However, it is ridiculously expensive.

I tried this spot using Uber Eats for dinner after a late night with work. I ordered the kids pizza sticks (came with sauce), brussels sprouts salad, and a can of grapefruit soda (not pictured). The meal was filling. I need to stop by to try some pizza. The sticks were hot, and the salad & soda were cold on delivery.

Emmy Squared Pizza was amazing. We visited this place after a couple drinks in Plaza Midwood and got there around 830pm on a Saturday night, we were greeted with a warm welcome and our server was super nice. The pizza and the salad were so crunchy and delicious and would definitely order the same combination again! They also have a full bar and a good drinking selection. Can't wait for warmer days and hang out on their "hidden" back patio.
