Emmet's Social Table

It so great to have Emmetts just a quick 10 min drive from the house. Whether it's a planned Dinner out or just an Uh Oh...it's too late to cook, what are we going to do? EMMETT'S SOCIAL TABLE. I usually get laughed at because I'm addicted to the KALE YEAH! SALAD. Tonight I decided to go a different route. I started off with the VEGETARIAN LETTUCE WRAPS. Bibb lettuce wraps filled with brown rice, roasted red peppers, diced red onion, portabella mushrooms & diced tomatoes, topped with goat cheese & balsamic glaze. There were three to the order. The flavors were popping everywhere. I especially liked the Goat Cheese. Instead of some crumbles scattered on top it came with pieces that seemed to be pulled from a Goat Cheese Log. Next I had the KOREAN GLAZED WINGS. I asked our waitress if the wings were a Drummy and a Fatty? She said that it was the two pieces still together but they would cut them if I wanted...YES THANK YOU. The Wings were Juicy and grilled just right. The Glaze seemed to have the right blend of ingredients. I tasted Soy, Brown Sugar, Garlic and Sesame Oil.....I'm sure there had to be several other ingredients. P.S. Thank you for the warm, wet towels with a slice of Lemon and Lime. I used all four! Our daughter had the Chicken Tenders with Mill Fries and my wife had the Grilled Salmon with Mill Fries.It's always nice when a restaurant lets anyone else (maybe just Seniors) order off the Kids Menu. As always the Service is on point. Just enough attention to not be annoying.

What a wonderful and unique place for lunch after a site visit for work. Hubby and I ordered the South Main Deggs (fried deviled eggs with pork belly & pepper jelly drizzle) and the Kale Yeah salad (kale, goat cheese, red onions, candied pecans & dried cranberries with honey citrus vinaigrette). Both items were scrumptious and the deviled eggs were a unique take on the southern classic. The pepper jelly drizzle and pork belly topping really bring it all together and add an amazing flavor explosion.The service is professional and attentive and the ambiance is incredible in the fact that there is sooooo much history here. The restaurant is part of what was once an old cotton mill and the old smoke stack outside is still in place. One of the dining room walls has a mural of an old Sanborn Fire Insurance Map of the town of Waxhaw and it shows the old mill on there and surrounding dwellings. Behind the property there are railroad tracks and over that is the Historical Waxhaw Overhead Bridge that is pretty cool to take pics from if you want to walk off your lunch.Only negative was that we bought a jar of the divine pepper jelly and it was confiscated by TSA before we boarded our flight home. Whomp whomp whommmmmmppp......that was my mistake.This is an amazing restaurant that I would highly recommend.

Great food and service A bit far from us from lake Norman but worth the drive American style tapas

We had an absolutely fantastic lunch experience at Emmet's! First of all, the space is absolutely fantastic. It is a historic building but the restaurant feel inside is modern and fresh.Our waitress Bridget was so pleasant and helpful. We had two kids in our group and she made sure their food came out first and that the adults always had a full drink cup.We basically tried the entire menu and everything was delicious! From the wedge salad, to the poke stuffed avocados, to the BBQ ribs and tomato soup shooters, you cannot go wrong with anything you pick.The overall experience is top notch. We will definitely stop in again on our next visit to Waxhaw.

A terrific little place that specializes in tapas and small plates. We were not disappointed! Each and everyone of our dishes were spectacularly, presented and delicious! I particularly like the Korean wings and the fried green tomatoes! Our server, Barbara was friendly and professional, and even took our picture! Thank you, Barbara. Forever in the area we would certainly love to stop by again.

The Caesar salad is maybe half bag chopped romaine, 5 cherry tomatoes, 5 croutons, 2 tbsp dressing on side with mayo texture-I didn't care for it. It's on a plate that's too small so it spills all over the table. For $9.00 without protein. I ordered the salmon protein with it but that never came so I can't review that. Just go to Food Lion and buy a bag of lettuce basically same thing. Pretty disappointing.I gave it three stars instead of 1 because a year ago I went with a group of friends and everyone had something warm and enjoyed their meal. So hot items are good just pass on this sad excuse for a Caesar salad.

Always fantastic food and drinks. Service is hit or miss. Lots of turnover. Bartenders are attentive and personable. It's our go to for shareable plates. My entire family can find something delicious to eat.

Fantastic Food & Atmosphere!Emmet's Social Table offers amazing shareable plates with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The crispy fries, flavorful shrimp and grits, and fresh tuna with avocado are must-tries, along with the brisket sliders and Brussels sprouts. Great drinks, friendly service, and a lively vibe make it a perfect spot for any occasion!

Underwhelmed by the food, the service was OK. Fries were delivered to our table ONE minute after we ordered, they were lukewarm as if they had been prepared for a while. Fries were sent back. The short ribs over grits were hardly lukewarm. It appeared delivery of food FAST was more important than quality and temperature.

Haven't been there yet, looks like a really cool place from the pics on Google. Looking to see about hopefully using this place as a rehearsal dinner spot
