Real deal Mexican has come to Wingate! Many choices that taste very authentic. Draft beer? Yes please! Tasty spicy salsa options? They got 'em. Hard to find Birria tacos? Very delicious. Would be five stars but the chips were not very good and it's a bit on the pricey side. Hopefully this will not keep them from prospering. Can't wait to go back.

What a pleasant surprise this was! Located in Winget North Carolina, I did not have great expectations, despite several recommendations. It doesn't look like much when you pull up, as it's just inside of a strip mall next to a laundromat, but what it lacks in ambience it makes up In delicious food. I've been getting tired of the same old flavors of every Mexican restaurant in the area so when I saw that they had a Mexican salad that wasn't the same as everybody else, I had to give it a try. The vegetables were fresh and the shrimp was well prepared. I should also mention that their salsa is flavorful but be mindful of the fact that their hot salsa is hot. I found myself making a mix of the two kinds in order to get the level of spicy that I was looking for.Our server was spectacular, and he made many suggestions that we were glad we ended up going west. My partner had the enchilada combo and he enjoyed all of them.I will definitely be returning and would suggest that anybody who likes good Mexican food make the drive to wingate and try this place!

Stopped here for lunch while my son was at a soccer camp at Wingate. Came in because reviews were good and the Tropical Salad with shrimp sounded like a perfect lunch on a hot day. I was right, the salad was delicious. Shrimp were cooked well with a lot of flavor and salad had fresh mango, cucumbers and avocado with light dressing. I also tried the guacamole and it would have been great but someone got a little carried away with the salt shaker. I ordered their Paloma to drink and it was very refreshing! All the severs were attentive and friendly.

I have tried something new every time to see if they are consistent with their food and I must say it is always spot on and flavorful. The taste of everything is better than any Mexican this side of Monroe. Highly recommend the chorizo dip. Staff is very friendly food is always hot fresh and cooked perfectly. Chips are fresh and crisp not burnt and hard . Two types of salsa hot and mild and both have plenty of flavor. And finally HOT beans they usually come cold on the side of every other Mexican restaurant . If you like good Mexican food give them a try.

I would give this restaurant a zero if I could. I was ripped off. They charged me and made me pay for a meal I did not receive. Ordered a tropical salad with no chicken or any meat on it. When I got the salad, there was no mango on it. I asked for the mango, and when they brought it to me, it was completely frozen, and I almost broke my tooth. I was charged for something I did not have. I should have been charge for a garden salad because all I had was lettuce. I asked for them to not charge me for something I did not have it was not served, but they refused. I am disputing the charge with my bank. Also, the service was horrible it took 20 minutes to get a drink and 30 minutes to get our food. I will never be back and I will be disputing this charge.

The food was actually good...the service however, was not. It took him at least 15 minutes to get us our sodas, even though there was only 3-4 tables seated and it appeared we were his only table. Other than that, refills took forever, even once the food came. To add the server didn't come back to check on us once our food came out either.
