Went out with friends for brunchFood was great but Joanna who took care of us was even greater and had a great hospitalityShe even put on a soccer game that we requested on TV so we can watch while enjoying food and drinks ! Definitely coming back and will recommend the place to other people

The restaurant is beautiful and I was surprise by it! Menu was creative. My friend and I had the shrimp/crab omelette with potatoes and it was delicious, I would definitely order again. However, the other meal we ordered was the avocado Benedict toast and that left a lot to be desired. Avocado was a small amount of mash spread over the bread. Minimal and no flavor. It was not at all worth the price and didn't feel fresh. Service was extremely slow and server was short and not accommodating. Not sure if we'll be back.

(3/5)Visited for brunch and overall had a decent experience. The food itself was very good--tasty, fresh, and well-presented. However, the espresso martini was disappointing and could definitely use improvement. Service was mediocre; staff seemed inattentive at times. Cleanliness was also lacking, which detracted from the experience. With some attention to detail in service and cleanliness, this place could easily be much better.

My wife and I decided to celebrate Valentine's Day at Eggspectation in Ballantyne, and, since we'd never heard of the restaurant before last week, it was an unexpectedly nice experience. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for a romantic evening. We were greeted by friendly staff who made us feel welcomed from the moment we walked in.The menu offered a great variety, and we were pleased with our choices. I highly recommend the Salmon entrée, which I had. My wife enjoyed the Eggstravaganza (one of their specialty dishes) which was fresh and flavorful. We also treated ourselves to some Cheesecake for dessert, and it was delicious.The service was attentive without being intrusive, which allowed us to enjoy our evening at a relaxed pace. The ambiance was perfect for Valentine's Day, which is to say it was lively, but not over-the-top loud.The only minor drawback was that it was quite busy, likely due to the holiday, which led to a slightly longer wait for our food. However, the staff handled it gracefully, keeping us informed and ensuring we were comfortable.Overall, Eggspectation made our Valentine's Day memorable. We left feeling satisfied and happy, and we look forward to visiting again soon. I highly recommend this restaurant for a charming and delicious dining experience.

It's been a while since I've dined at Eggspectation, and I've been looking forward to trying their lunch/dinner options. My mother and I waited about 15 minutes before being seated, which was a better wait than I expected. Our food took a really, really long time to arrive after we ordered, but we made it through. My mother enjoyed the roast beef and swiss sandwich that came with sliced prime rib, caramelized onions, horseradish aioli, and arugula. It was pretty good, but I definitely won the "ordered the better meal" award. Their BLT with avocado and on a croissant was insanely good. The rich butterscotch crème brûlée was, without a doubt, the best crème brûlée I've ever tried. The waitress recommended it and she didn't lie about how delicious it is. Overall, it was positive experience and I'll come back again and again, especially for the dessert.

Although I haven't made it here for dinner/drinks yet, this is a solid lunchtime spot. I usually get the kids meal and not only id the price right, but you get a nice sized portion. I've had the grilled cheese twice and had the chicken strips meal (pictured) last time. It also comes with a drink which is nice. The employees always make sure I have everything I need, and usually throw in a coupon. I've never dined in but the atmosphere looks cozy and nice, but not stuffy-cute bar area. They have date night menus, specials, brunch, etc. The menu is enormous so I definitely plan to swing back through and try some different dishes.

It is hard to find a great breakfast place that is great and modern look. I love this place for the nice set up and decor. Also the service is excellent and on point. All the food is amazing. One of the unexpected dish that I ordered is the Shrimp and Crab Benedict, the taste is amazing, the unexpected part is that it replaced English muffin with grits. I will coming back for sure to try other things.

Eggspectation is one of the best brunch spots in Charlotte! It's our go to brunch place after Church on Sundays. Service is great and very polite, very nice ambiance where you feel comfortable and not in a rush, and you can't go wrong with any of the breakfast items.

Our server Tweety was so welcoming! She really made the visit great. The restaurant was beautiful. The portion sizing was hearty. The food was good. Brunch for 2 was about $100 total with tip. Great for a party of 1-10. Indoor & outdoor seating available

I frequent this breakfast spot being that I work in the area. The lamb & eggs as well as shrimp & grits are phenomenal- service, even better. Although today I did visit and my favorite server Timothy wasn't working but I still stopped by. Instantly I felt like a burden being I was a "1 Top". Took nearly 10 minutes to be greeted by my server with such a cold attitude. I don't know if it's because it was a Monday but I definitely won't be returning unless he's working. Would've been 5 stars had I not stopped by today.
