Eddie V's Prime Seafood

Okay guys, so I recently moved to Charlotte from NC and my staple seafood and steakhouse - Ocean Prime is not available, but I let it go and opened my heart to new things. In comes Eddie V's! I've heard good things about it but, people be people-ing sometimes. Luckily, I'm so glad to report - THE PEOPLE WERE RIGHT! The bartenders, Mandie, Gary, and Amanda are amazing and make every drink to the top notch level! And they have the smoothest CaliRosa tequila which I have switched over to after years of Casamigos Blanco lol. THE BLUE POINT OYSTERS NEVER DISAPPOINT! They are balanced, smooth, flavorful and always fresh! The seafood rice is very buttery and the jumbo lump crab on top is juicy and plump every single time! Now, when you walk in watch the little glass, floor to ceiling, entry way, it gets me every time, and use the downstairs bathroom for the best pictures! Overall Eddie's is very cute, very demure, and a very white tablecloth establishment. Also- always get the fresh and warm bread! Due to the ambience, amount of seating (bar seating is limited but some people are just there waiting on their table), and spectacular food, you can find me there anytime any day that drinks and food are needed! 10/10!

I love this restaurant. Valet parking is a bonus. The location is easy to find, and staff are friendly. The lobster bites were fun to eat. The crab cake was jumbo, and full of lump crabmeat. I ordered a second crab cake to go. I enjoyed the live music. The drinks were strong enough for me to feel buzzed, but not incapacitated. The restaurant has three levels with ample seating. Rasheda was an excellent waitress. She was well versed in the menu, and was able to recommend special menu items and drinks. Check it out! I'm headed to the Orlando location in a few weeks.

Ambiance 10/10Service 10/10Food 9/10 The consistency of the crab cake was too moist. Waitress mentioned there's no filler so you get more real crab than batter. Okay that's great, but I still didn't like the texture of it.

I reached out to Eddie V's customer service relations team and explained the situation that happened with our last visit and they promptly replied with the standard apology email and said that Andrew Klugger, Managing Partner would reach out and personally apologize. Well It's been two weeks and I haven't heard anything else from Eddie V's location in Charlotte. I would expect that this establishment would value customer service above all else and reach out personally to offer a sincere apology but that is not the case in this circumstance.It's rather unfortunate but an experience earned is a lesson learned and Eddie V's has shown me that my experience, although unfortunate doesn't give rise to having accountability and follow through. This experience has given me pause as to whether I would patronize their establishment again.

Natalie was absolutely amazing! It was our first time coming and she made the whole experience worth bragging about. She was personable and went above and beyond to make our night memorable. Every girl likes to be fancied. Oh yes and the food was exceptional as well.

We went here for my birthday and they gave above and beyond service! Complete with complimentary champagne and dessert Excellent atmosphere. We'll definitely be going back to enjoy the lounge with live music.

Very pleasant dining experience downtown charlotte. Am here in a business trip and had a work dinner here. We had a very good meal family style. 4.5 stars- crab cakes - second best I have had. Best is still at Vic and Anthony's in Las Vegas but this was close- ceasar salad light and fresh- Chilean sea bass. Very good- crab stuffed prawns. Delicious- rib eye - ordered medium rare got medium. Still tender but overcooked to my colleagues - crab fried rice. A bit over dressed- Brussel sprouts. Skip this. Not good. Overall a nice experience. Would go back.

My family brought me here for my birthday. The atmosphere was festive it was a few days before Christmas. Before we were seated they decorated the table and left a birthday card I ordered the steak tartare which was excellent they make it table side my family were not fans of raw steak but tired it a they were amazed at how good it tasted. My entree was the seafood tower which more like a seafood loft but all of it was very good quality seafood. I would definitely eat here again if I win the lottery.

Eddie V's has always been a go to place for me locally. Recently, I've noticed some changes, like smaller portions and a slight dip in steak quality. The live band still creates a jazzy atmosphere, even if the sound could be clearer. I also noticed service is not as attentive. I believe with a few improvements in the menu and service, Eddie V's can regain its earned spot among steakhouses in the Charlotte area.

In Charlotte for a work trip and decided to get a steak dinner. Though the server was incredible she was friendly, genuine and knowledgeable, the food was lack luster as was the timing. Took over an hour for the entree to arrive so they comp'ed an app and champagne. Many disgruntled customers visibly complained to the manager who then comp'ed their meals. The steak though was accurately medium rare, it was dry and flavorless so was offered steak sauce. For the price truly sauce shouldn't be needed. The lobster was similar and also was lacking in salt and flavor. All in all disappointing costly and will not return despite the kind waitress.
