I work in downtown and it definitely gets hectic sometimes. Donna and her crew definitely keep me sane. She's always got a good treat to make our day just a little bit better. I might be biased but it's such a cute area to just sit outside and enjoy your sweet treat! Thank you Donna for always being kind and being a kind friend to talk to

I've officially found my favorite local bakery! We found this little treasure while walking around downtown. The exterior looked very inviting so we ventured in. The owner and staff member were both very friendly and we engaged in a genuine conversation. The bakery displayed a generous number of dessert options, each one looked absolutely delicious. We decided to try a few: an a blueberry muffin (yum), Oreo cheesecake (super yum) and a warm cinnamon roll (omg! Ridiculously good). They had utensils, napkins, and nice to-go containers. Although the bakery offers two nice tables out front, there is also tons of seating within walking distance. We didn't make it far before tearing into our desserts. I highly recommend stopping by Eat Cakes Bakery. I'll definitely be going back soon.

They have several gluten free options which we were happy to find. Both the regular and gluten free treats are very good. Not the absolute best bakery I've been to but that's really splitting hairs as treats are treats. Cupcakes, rice krispy treats, and the cinnamon roll were all good.

A really quaint bakery in downtown Kannapolis. I've only been once so far. When I walked in, the staff was talking to an employee from next door, but I was greeted after a minute. I got a cinnamon roll and some cheesecake bars to take home. All of them were delicious. I'm ashamed to admit I ate like half of it all for breakfast that day. I want to come back and try other cheesecake bars because they had some unique and seasonal flavors and cheesecake is, like, my favorite dessert.

The name sounds like a command that many of us would be glad to obey, and the flags in the window are a magnet to any transplanted Ohioans. Add to that a friendly owner and a tantalizing selection (cakes, cupcakes, cheesecakes, brownies, bars, and more - alas, no buckeyes), and Eat Cakes holds a lot of promise.That said, what we tried didn't hit the mark. A chocolate croissant was doughy rather than light and flaky. A chocolate peanut butter bar delivered exactly the right flavors, but it was also a bit dry. I wouldn't rule out giving Eat Cakes another try, but I would likely go with another selection (the cupcakes looked good) if I were to do so.

I love this place! They keep getting better and better and more creative as time goes on! Each piece of cheesecake bar or other dessert is around $5 and they are massive! I love the vision of this place. Everyone has always been super sweet and helpful!

I can't say enough good things about this place. We recently moved to Kannapolis and Ms. Donna's Bakery was the first place we visited. She was so nice as we came right before closing. She talked with us and welcomed us to the neighborhood. While the service is great, the baked goods are TOP NOTCH. I recommend a giant cinnamon roll or a seasonal fruit flavored scone.

Stumbled upon this gem and decided to order cakes for my little one and my husband as their birthdays are 2 days apart. Walking up to the store it has a super cute store front! I was greeted immediately upon walking in by two friendly faces. They answered all my many questions without judgement. They were so sweet and even gave my little one a chocolate covered strawberry. We ordered a cake pop and a cheese/spinach croissant, both were delicious! The prices are great! Cannot wait for the cakes! Highly recommend this place!

Ordered a Birthday cake. It wasn't done the way I ordered. What was written on the order paper and what was presented at the time of pick up was incomplete and disappointing. What I asked to be written on it wasn't done at all. neither the baker nor the decorator was at the place. After the person at the bakery called, the baker called me and what she said when I mentioned my disappointment was another disappointing thing that made me upset ...finally she explained the cake decorator is not there and someone will do it.she offered me a cinnamon roll...appreciated that ... but still was disappointing it wasn't done and we had to wait for additional time to get it done by someone who works there. I appreciate the person who did the writing because she otherwise it we could have ended having a plan cake.The cake was ok. It is dry.

It smells intoxicatingly good the moment you open the door. I highly recommend the cheesecake bars!
