Eastern Buffet

I would really give this 3.5 stars. But they did not have mussels! A construction worker was looking for them too. We were disappointed to see they only had baby clams. They are fine but just so small. My Dad and his wife love this place. Coco the server hugged them and is the SWEETEST! Wow, she is just delightful. Anyway, the sushi I ate was fine. I didn't think it was the best but nothing wrong with it. They have a salad bar but I skipped that because I eat way too many salads in general. The mushrooms were great as was the pepper steak. The spring roll was not too great.They have a hibachi station. The lady working there could use a break because she was.........grouchy. Anyhow, I chose noodles, a variety of veggies and shrimp. I did not expect much but the shrimp was so delicious.My Dad's wife got chocolate ice cream and said it tasted like strawberry ice cream. He tasted it and thought it tasted spoiled. Very odd. They told Coco. I was skipping dessert anyway just because I was full. When I come back, I would be ok with coming here again.

The food and the selection here were great. I loved being able to try so many different foods! Everything we tried was fantastic! My youngest even tried sushi for the first time. When we arrived the service was a bit to be desired; we were told to sit at a certain table and the server went to wipe it down. She was so busy talking that we had completed a first round of gathering our food and our table still wasn't done. We then had to wait while she wiped off the table and gathered our drinks. The bathroom was a bit messy with paper towels and toilet paper everywhere. The sinks and toilets were clean (which was the only reason I used the restroom at all). I will definitely be going back and trying this restaurant again.

The sushi was not fresh and dried out. The food off of the bar was mediocre at best. And the bill for lunch was $21. This place used to be really good, but not so much anymore.

I consider myself to have a iron stomach. To handle all kinds of food but yesterday, my stomach was put to the test and failed!

Frankly, I had NO idea what to expect when my sister recommended this buffet for a family dinner on a recent trip to the Lexington, SC area.I was pleasantly surprised with the variety of chinese (not REAL chinese, but American style) cuisine. The only real disappointment was the sushi (well, not real sushi, but the California roll styles that you might find at the mall). I live in Honolulu, Hawaii and even the mediocre sushi there is ten times better...... Sorry Eastern, you need to step up to the plate before having a sushi bar. Not even close.The prices were fair - around the $11-13 range depending on when you visited (lunch, dinner, weekend etc.)The service was as you might expect from a buffet joint - not super attentive, but they did manage to refill our drinks before they were empty.All in all, a great place to take a large group or a family of 4. Not recommended for a romantic dinner unless gorging yourselves in front of your date is ok.I wouldn't hesitate to return upon my next visit to the area.

After our last visit here several months ago, we tried several other buffets recommended by others--this is still the best around. We arrived about 1:00PM. The food was fresh and the variety was unlimited. I started with Sushi and seafood. The Sushi was fresh and as good as most Sushi bars in Columbia including the Sashimi. I ate 4-5 different types of Shrimp, clams, fried crab, octopus and squid. They have a fried food section, Mexican food, salad and desert bar. I always say I will save room for Hibachi, but I was too full. The service was prompt and attentive. Even though it is a buffet, the size of the rooms and the layout of the buffet prevented crowding. This is our favorite and we'll return frequently.

I dislike having to write a negative review of a business that employs hard-working people, but Eastern Buffet is no longer worth patronizing. When it first opened, more than 15 years ago, it was decent value for the money. No one would have confused it with quality Chinese-American cuisine, but the selection was large and tasty. It still offers many dishes, but the quality of most is very inferior, although it varies from dish to dish. My hot and sour soup I found acceptable, as well as the Korean kimchee and the Mongolian beef. But the lo mein - one of my go-to Americanized Chinese dishes - was absolutely tasteless. My wife's General Tso's Chicken was likewise very disappointing. Having eaten here a number of times over the years, we won't be back.

The food was exceptional..... a lot of good choices! Tasty and hot and they didn't let anything run out! The restaurant was very clean.... And the staff was very friendly! 5 stars!

The food is alright but the signs above the food is incorrect with a lot of things, dumplings are not that good. Service is good as well as the ambiance.

Looked at the buffet. Underwhelming for the high price. Hehehe...said i didnt say enought words. Do you really want me to answer when im aggravated? where is the review for Yelp? lol
