This is a really good neighborhood restaurant with pub fare. The menu had so many good options that we had a tough time choosing and finally decided on the spicy chicken sandwich and burger. Both were perfectly cooked and seasoned with all the trimmings. My only drawback were the paper thin onion rings. I've had these elsewhere and always find them to be greasy. I prefer a heartier onion ring for flavor (and less grease) but this is my personal preference and not a reflection on this establishment.A server was great. She was fast and efficient. Food was delivered by another server when ready so it was piping hot. This would be a good place to watch sporting events with several TVs in the dining room and bar. It's only a mile out of downtown Asheville and has a very local feel. I'm sure it's also popular with vets and their families visiting the VA hospital across the street.

I almost hate to post this review because even more people will find this place, and it was already packed on a Monday night even. But the wait wasn't too long and it was definitely worth it. It looks like a typical Asheville bar and grill (which is not intended as a knock really), but the food and service are both outstanding. The menu is extensive so it was hard to decide among the many Greco-American Southern food options. We had previously had the tiger chicken mac-n-cheese from their food truck, so we knew that was really good. And it was here tonight as well. We started with 2 appetizers: the Greek saganaki cheese sticks and fried mushrooms. The cheese sticks were the best we've ever had. Great coating and very good cheesy inside. The sauce was good, too. The mushrooms were also good, but nothing too special. For the main course we had dry rubbed wings (very good), Blue Ridge fish and chips (good), grouper reuben (excellent), and Santorini style salmon (also excellent). The grouper was a large, nicely breaded piece of fish, with very tasty cole slaw and dressing, served on perfectly grilled pumpernickel rye. Thick cut fries were good. The salmon hit the mark as a great traditional Greek dish with a wonderful mix of the tomatoes, capers and feta cheese in a lemon butter sauce, served over rice pilaf. If you like lemony sauces, you'll love this dish! To close the evening out, we tried their homemade baklava. The phyllo dough was excellent and the filing was not too sweet (like the overly sweet version you get some places). Our only issue was there wasn't really enough filing between the layers, so it was a bit dry. But still good. They have several beers on draft and imported Greek beer by the bottle.

Delicious restaurant with lots of seating, menu variety, and delicious brews/cocktails. We ordered 24 wings (tiger wings, honey bbq, garlic, and buffalo). Came with blue cheese and ranch. It was to die for. We also had a grapefruit margarita and IPA.

We went here on a Friday afternoon just before the lunch rush Hubby had lunch special of grouper fingers ans I had a Ruben sandwich both Delicious! My Ruben had a ton of meat and right amount of sauce and kraut. The restaurant was homey and clean. It really got hopping by 12:30 and seems to be a local favorite spot.Service was good and everyone was friendly. We will definitely be back.

Cute little neighborhood joint. Super questionable decor. It's like four place is closed and they mixed and matched for a deal. Like why does the back wall say coffee? Some questions don't have answers. The space itself was clean and bustling. Our server was new, but she was so kind and worked hard to answer all of her questions. She was doing great at her job. The chicken tenders and fries were a great combo. A little pricey, but good quality. My partner said the chicken tenders were excellent - super moist chicken, and great seasoning. The fries could use a bit of seasoning themselves. They were decent, but they could've been better.I was excited to see the balsamic vinaigrette housemaid. However, it was incredibly watery, and just sunk right down to the bottom of my bowl. The side salad was an OK size with decent flavor and ingredients but I wonder why places are charging two dollars extra for a few pieces of lettuce? Sad. Overall, I would definitely come back and try something else. Nice atmosphere.

I just wanted to update this review. I ate here with family a few months before Helene, and the food was still good and the staff still nice. Somehow I gave them middle of the road 3 stars before. I think I should have given a 4 star.

Nice service people and yummy food. I had fish and chips and it was excellent. Another time I had hand made onion rings. The meatloaf and burgers are good too. I go mid afternoon because meal times are always busy.

Sooo good. We were not surprised at how good the food would be as we love Post 25. Same great quality in a small town local restaurant setting.

A recommendation from my hotel! It has the look and feel of a local joint. I sat at the bar. I had a side salad (I forgot to take a picture). Very good. The Greek Style Spaghetti was an unexpected delight. The noodles are hollow so the sauce is inside and outside of the pasta. The sauce! Not a traditional tomato-y sauce. It was sweet and hardy The entire dish was covered in cheese with a side of garlic bread I had leftovers which I ate later that night! 5 mins from Tru-Asheville. GO! You won't be disappointed!
