Dugans Pub

4/27/24, lunch visit after golf with buddies. Amazing meal as we closed the tab via credit card roulette and I was a winner! Seriously, this is one of our favorite spots when visiting Pinehurst. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and always fun. This visit was a couple split entrees and beers as we had early dinner reservations. We split up a club sandwich and fish & chips between the 4 of us but the home run were the black & tans! Guinness over their local pale - deliciousness!

I have had the pleasure of going to Duggans many times over 25 years. it doesn't change. good selection of beers and a menu that has Irish favorites. inhabited by golfers and locals. noisy basement and sedate dining room on the first floor. genuine bar brought from Ireland on the first floor. certainly a better option than a chain resteraunt.

Back home for the holidays which meant stopping by Dugans with the fam. Had a bigger group than usual and then sat us upstairs in a room with other large parties - it was super loud at first but died down when one of the groups left. Overall the servers did an excellent job taking care of us last night and food and drinks came out pretty quickly!The French onion soup was ok - I'd recommend getting the cup instead of the bowl. Got the Caesar salad with blackened salmon as well and it was good!

The service was very good, very attentive, burgers great w/yummy fries. My husband ordered liver & onions (yeah not my fav) & it was over cooked, really tough & the mashed potatoes were hard not fluffy. He was disappointed & should have sent it back! We were talking w/friends & he was not wanting to restart another meal since 3 of us had already started & his meal took longer. Not good, recommending the liver & onions! 1/15/25

We have loved Dugan's for the 10 years we have lived here, but last week we were very disappointed. The Onion Soup is one of our favorites but on the evening of June 18th it tasted odd...something was wrong. This was 2 days after the US Open so perhaps they ran out of an ingredient or something but we would not order it again.Also, our server was pleasant but inadequate...had to ask for napkins, had to ask for the water we ordered...just not too tuned in.I wanted to send this message direct to the owners but they don't seem to have the website anymore ???

Great atmosphere with Scottish emphasis. My wife's Reuben was outstanding! My steak sandwich was also delicious! We both had great breaded fries. Great place to stop after golf!

I've only been here twice as I live an hour away but, both visits have been exactly what you'd expect for a friendly, neighborhood Irish style pub. The Guinness is poured properly, the staff is friendly and talkative and funny. The staff absolutely makes you feel welcome!

We had a group of five and sat in the back dining room. Next time it will be a smaller group so we can sit in front, which looks like a nicer pub experience.I had their Reuben which was a good thick sandwich, came with a side, so I had the fries which were fine. Very good and solid pub fare. Service was good and very friendly. Everyone was pleased with their meal. Nothing went wrong or was bad in any way, a perfect experience.

What a great little pub in the center of town! My wife and I were in town looking for a house so we stopped in for lunch (we've been there twice). The people (not just the employees but the customers) were about as friendly as can be.Each time, I ordered a black & tan than was poured perfectly. Food wise we had the chili which was outstanding and, for $4 more, you can add a grilled cheese sandwich with bacon & tomato, which was a steal. The 2nd time I ordered the fish & chips. There were 3 nicely sized pieces of fish in a golden brown batter that was delicious. The only complaint I have is with their fries. They are heavily coated and did not have the potato taste I expected. I'll ask for onion rings next time.We are looking forward to finding a house which will make me a regular at this establishment.
