I attended a Christmas Musical at the church across the street from Duckworth's on Saturday night. My friend and I headed over to grab a late dinner. We were greeted by the host and escorted to a table in the bar area. I was becoming impatient because no one came over to serve us but after I asked the host if we were supposed to place our orders at the bar area server was alerted he came over to to take our orders. Our server was Jaylen and trust me he was worth the wait even though it was not his fault that he wasn't alerted that we would be apart of his service area. Jaylen professionally introduced himself, gave us menus and took our drink order. He was very thorough and repeated our orders back to us without having to write them down. I'm not big on plus this minus that but my friend is! The food was amazing and tasted unbelievably fresh. The restaurant was packed and some of the guests were quite interesting. I was glad to see that management was able to handle escalations quickly and keep the environment safe. I visited the restroom and I was relieved that it was tidy. I had a Salmon salad with a glass of Malbec. My friend had a cocktail and a salad which she customized to her liking. I enjoyed my experience at Duckworth's, if you go ask for Jaylen he has five star customer service!

Maybe we had an off night, but our experience was nothing like most other reviews. Five coworkers and I came to CLT for the Hornets game this past week and prior to coming, we researched a lot of restaurants in the area and decided on Duckworth's based off the great reviews and the wide selection of food. The beer selection was wonderful and the drinks were all tasty, but the food and service left us underwhelmed.We arrived around 430 and it wasn't busy at all. Our server seemed very rushed and kept walking off before we could finish ordering for the table. She completely skipped two drink orders and we had to flag her down to let her know. No suggestions were offered as far as the menu items. We typically order a lot of food and split it family style. She seemed annoyed that we kept adding items to the order, although we ordered it all in one sitting and didn't ask her to add anything else after the order was taken. We were excited to try all the options we saw pictures of and ordered wings, pizza, nachos, fried pickles, mozzarella sticks, chicken quesadilla, ribs and a couple orders of fries and tots. The food did not take long to come out, but in the mean time we wanted a second round of drinks and waited patiently for our server, but ended up having to order drinks when another man (maybe the manager) came by to ask how everything was. As for the food, I will say the nachos were the best thing we tried! They give a massive portion and the chicken was flavorful. The lemon pepper wings were great also. That's where it kind of stopped for us. The mommoos wings were a miss with the group. We all agreed the chargrilled touch was nice but the flavor itself is verrryyy vinegar forward. So were the ribs. Granted, it does say vinegar based sauce on the menu, but it was all we could taste. The pizza is a lot smaller in person than in most of the pictures. The fried pickles had good flavor but the ones we received were very greasy. And to top it off, the server came back and started taking plates while we were still eating. One of my coworkers had to grab his plate back out of her hands. We did leave a hefty tip because maybe she was just having a bad day. I wouldn't count this place out. It seems they are great to other people. Again, maybe we just chose a bad day to try them out.

Game Day Paradise: A bar with wall-to-wall TVs, full bar, and surprisingly good bar eats. You know that girl in high school you've kind of always known was there, but you never really spoke to - but then when you actually gave her a chance she was super cool? Yeah, this is my current relationship with Duckworth's. This is a great, chill option if you're looking to watch sports and have a drink + have the option to eat. Most bars like this in Charlotte serve really greasy, fried cholesterol on a platter. However, Duckworth's actually has a pretty ample menu and the food is good. If you're looking for a good sports bar in the uptown area - Duckworth's is a very solid option. Honestly, I think it's underrated.

Popped in here on a Sunday evening. They were not busy at all, my friend and I sat at the bar! The bartender was really nice and attentive. The ranch was great. The food was okay. This place has some good specials on various days. I would recommend popping in and checking them out, the restaurant is large and can hold larger groups.

This was a late night stop for wings. We sat at the bar. Immediately we were brought into a debate to rank the Top 5 Adam Sandler movies. Needless to say the environment was very welcoming. The service was fast. They had a wide variety of beers on tap. Oh and the fried pickles *chef's kiss* Based on the service alone I'd return.

I love everything at Duckworths. Being able to build my own salad is my favorite thing on the menu. Whether we have eaten in or taken out, the food is consistent. Service always fast and attentive. I enjoy being able to watch all the games at once in the bar with all the TV screens. Can be kind of loud but that is the vibe!

From the moment I walked in, I could tell it was a lively place. It is my first time to visit Charlotte, NC and this is my first restaurant to experience. Edwin is my bartender and when I shared with him I am trying to expand my wings with beer, he was kind enough to offer samples and suggestions. With the level of service he offered, the gentleman next to me even asked him for the same beer I got due to his sell and knowledge of the beer. The level of attention, even with the NFL draft going on (explaining the massive crowd they have), his level of attentiveness is worth noting. I'd definitely recommend the place for a nice, hip, and social hang.Next night: Same vibe, tho I came later due to work. Just wanted to include my thoughts on their food... wings were good tho not enough sauce. They were more dry sauce (if you understand what I am saying). Tonight I asked the bartender (not Edwin) which he preferred, the Carolina BBQ sandwich or the Bacon Chicken Wrap. He went with the wrap so I followed his guidance. It was to be served with ranch, but got bleu cheese instead. The chicken is tough, nearly over cooked and not evenly cut so you don't pull all the chicken out in one bite. Their house made chips are great. Hopeful for a better experience my next time in town.
