Duck Donuts

Would have liked to provide a true account of my experience with the atmosphere, food, and service but when we visited today at 2:07 pm on a Thursday afternoon after having lunch at a near by restaurant, the doughnut shop was locked and closed. There was no closed signage up and no staff in sight. The hours posted were 6am-5pm Thursday-Friday . Monday-Wednesday 7am-2pm. Saturday 7am-7pm Sundays 7am-5m. Maybe staff got confused about said hours for Thursdays.

This donut shop didn't really blow me away. Donuts were served warm and had a pretty appearance but didn't taste great. They all tasted pretty plain despite all of the toppings. The donut wasn't anything amazing and I probably won't be going back.

If you like really extravagant donuts, this is your place! I just don't like really heavy donuts. In our box was maple bacon, strawberry, Oreo something, blueberry.

The time stamp on my pictures is 4:38 pm, and they were closed. The stated hours show they close at 7 pm; no notes were left on the door giving an explanation. This wasn't a good first impression. I've visited again while patronizing another business nearby, and the service was good.

Came on a Sunday morning and there wasn't much of a wait. Excited to see this location open near me. I like the donuts and wanted to get something sweet for my crew. There was about three employees present and no clear order. The person making the donuts was putting a ton of sauce or glaze on the donuts. I had only one and gave the rest away. I would say the the one on kenilworth is better and the staff are welcoming there. No one said thank you or greeted me. They didn't have napkins and it was dirty. How do you just open and it's not too clean?! The staff had long strung hair no hair nets. You could tell they wiped hair after doing products as sugar glaze was on hat and hair. I requested staff to change gloves but I hope that someone from the other location can train or educate the team here for this to be successful. It's in a prime location.

Well there is nothing like a hot fresh Maple Bacon Donut! Believe me - stopped in twice so far - this was my pick and it did not disappoint! Try it you will love it !

Unfortunately, they went a little downhill since the opening. Their donuts are fantastic as always. My biggest issues are overall service and coffee. The service is not very friendly. Only one of the girls working today had a smile on their face and said hi. Wait time was a little longer than expected. I ordered ahead and still waited an additional 10 minutes. They were about 15 behind schedule. Now for the coffee. They need to train the workers how to make a cold brew with flavor. Sounds simple, however, every time I order a coffee there is a problem. This time around the coffee was unbelievably bitter. They also did not add/or added very little milk. When I asked for more, the worker did not know the difference between half/half and whole milk. I really hope they can turn it back around.

Duck Donuts are the absolute best donuts in Charlotte! I have tried many places and nothing beats them. They are always fresh and perfectly cooked (or baked or however you concoct a donut). The flavors are amazing. I appreciate that they are not overly frosted, they have the perfect amount. They are also sweet but not overly sugary sweet. My only complaint is that they are slow. I have placed multiple pickup orders and even when I pick them up after the scheduled time I still have to wait.

I elevated out of my fucking seat because this shit was the most moist and fresh donuts I have ever had. I order a half a dozen, of course it took a second, it's fresh not frozen. Also a cute area and has few seating areas for anyone wanting to sit around. In all a comfortable place. The workers helped decide some choices, all were amazing.

Nothing like the other location. Store was a mess, employees having a personal conversation with little attention paid to customers, donuts were not fresh. Average at best. Go to other location
