Dragon Boat

(Definitely solid 3.5 stars)My business park hosted the Dragon Boat food truck on Wednesday (5-16-18). Based on the address listed on my mobile receipt, the same people behind China Café in the university area are also behind this truck.On Wednesday's menu:buffalo wings (I found this random)crinkle french friescrab rangoonsegg rollsSesame chicken, general tso's chicken and sweet & sour chicken with white or fried rice - these were all $8Chicken & steak lo mein and fried rice and your typical hibachi choicesI went with chicken lo mein and it was ready in a little under 10 minutes. I was a little disappointed that a fortune cookie wasn't included but big whoop, I guess.The food was served in a to-go container super hot and loaded with veggies. The lo mein was on the sweeter side but I really enjoyed this meal. Reasonable portion provided at a reasonable price = win win. I'll definitely make a stop again!

Unbelievable, someone can make Chinese food, sweet and sour chicken, so disgusting!There is little or no salt in the fried chicken, the sauce is neither sweet nor sour, there is one tiny piece of eggs in the fried rice. This is a total disaster!People, this is not Chinese food, this is not even Americanized Chinese food.Now I believe there is worse than worst food :(

I would eat at this again if I was craving Chinese food. The food was good quality, but it just wasn't quite the awesome hibachi flavor for the hibachi shrimp. The price also wasn't horrible. $7 for rice, chicken and vegetables. It's also pretty quick to come out.

Tony Z is smoking crack. My General Tso brought suckage to a whole nother level. Woohoo, food truck Friday at Cabarrus Brewery, I tried something new without reading reviews. Bad, bad Yelp Elite me..........On a scale of 1 to 5 stars, it was -2. Pissed that I spent $9 damn dollars and it didn't come with a egg roll. General Tso is generally spicy, I ordered extra spicy. No dice. Bland ass fried chicken dish. The fried pieces were little, the size of a marble. Some of the marbles were just batter, nice job guys. Not sure what the intent is but after the top layer of marbles, the bottom layer of marble chicken was totally submerged in the so called "General Tso's" sauce. So now I had soft-gooey-soggy marble chicken. I swear it tasted like dish soap. Yummy? Puke. The fried rice is more like brown rice - as in fluffy brown rice. WTF? No egg, no veggies, pretty sure not fried. Again no flavor. Well the crab ragoons ($4) were okay, they couldn't F-up something they took from the freezer to the deep fryer. These asians boys that work it should be ashamed of themselves. Do yourself a favor and skip this sad excuse, that is not worthy of being called a food truck.

Dragon Boat was the most popular truck at Food Truck Friday in Concord, NC during the time I was there. Surprisingly, it was the only truck offering ethnic food of the food trucks present. People seem to be more willing to experiment and try new things at these events, probably because you can always get something else if you don't like your selection!The menu was quite appetizing, featuring fried rice, lo mein, and hibachi featuring one of the following: steak, chicken, shrimp, tofu, and vegetables. Alternatively, you can order General Tso's Chicken, Sesame Chicken, or Sweet & Sour Chicken. My partner chose steak hibachi and I chose chicken fried rice with extra vegetables.Our meals took a long time to come out; the chef seemed a bit overwhelmed by the amount of people ordering from their truck. The food was well-prepared, and the portions were GIGANTIC. These two dishes fed us three dinners! The food was good--not particularly memorable, but definitely hit the spot. The steak was cooked perfectly, although the hibachi dish had little flavor. The fried rice was great, but I love anything fried! If I run by this truck again, I will likely give it anothergo and try the Sesame Chicken, as it has received lots of positive attention from Yelpers!

This time around I tried the Hibachi Shrimp and buffalo wings. Not bad. I've had the crab rangoon before. I didnt care for the sweetness of it but they were hot and crispy. Everything was tasty and looked as expected. I used the online ordering system with no problems. I recieved a text message when my food was being prepared and another once it was ready, 10-15 mins tops. I'd eat here again if they are in the area.

We were at Matthews Food Truck Friday and decided to give this truck a try because it had the shortest line. We were pleasantly surprised. We ordered chicken lo mein, which was really good. Lots of fresh vegetables, great noodles, and a tasty sauce. The crab rangoons were also really good and had actual crab in them. The sweet and sour chicken was good, but fried rice was bland and flavorless. The sesame chicken was decent, but again the rice wasn't worth eating. Everything had generous portion sizes and the prices weren't bad for a food truck event ($9 entrees). We would head to this truck if it is here again. Overall it was a good meal.

Glad I didn't listen to the reviews. Just had this tonight and it was decent. No it wasn't the best hibachi I've ever had, but for a quick bite it was well worth it. Great service and very clean.I had the Shrimp hibachi, and general tso's chicken. The chicken was not as flavorful as general tso's usually is, but it was still flavorful and great cuts of chicken. Definitely hope to see them again soon!

I love love this food!! Every time we order, the food is hot and so tasty. I want to try everything on the menu but I always go to my favorite, fried rice with steak. Now it does have a lot of onions but I love it. Our kids get excited when we order from this place. We can never eat all our food in one sitting so even heated up it's still delicious. Good food for a night at home.

Unlike other trucks, this ethnic truck offers great portion and authentic selection of Hibachi/Chinese food. All at fair prices. Hibachi is saucy and comes with vegetables like broc, carrot, zucchini, and mushroom.
