Great tasting. It was $12. I love that they don't have a reserve tasting for a more expensive price. Everything is the same. Located in kannapolis. We stopped here on the way to Charlotte. It is quite far from the hwy. Staff was nice and informed. They have a beautiful patio out back and they have wine slushies to enjoy. We were glad that they also had snacks for purchase.

Friendly and family oriented location here! North Carolina has so many wineries available and this one is among the top. They feature many sweet wines which were tasty but my go to are on the dryer side. They offered 6 silver/gold medal dry wines that were delicious. They have tasting available and the service was top notch. Go out and see for yourself!

We came back to Douglas Vineyards recently and had a GREAT time! While we did not do a tasting, three of us split a couple of wine flights and had fantastic service this time. This time I kept my tasting notes so I can remember for the future what we enjoyed! What we tried:Fruit Wines:*Ocean Drive (White Sangria) - we were off to a great start! This is a nice fruity wine, and really enjoyable.*Pear of D's - we enjoyed this one too, it's a nice sweet wine, but not much pear flavor.*Just Peachy - It is so peachy! Loved it, definitely still one of my favorite peach wines to this day.*Apple Sauce - Good apple flavor, nice and sweet.*Loco Coconut - Heavy coconut flavor, like you are on the beach; definitely not for me.*Mango Tango - it was good, but not as enjoyable as some of the others.*Rockin' Raspberry - I'm actually not a raspberry fan, so I was surprised I enjoyed this more than I did, but that was probably due to the fact that it was light in raspberry flavor. *Wicked Watermelon - Strong watermelon flavor, it was okay.*Perfect Pomegranate - It was okay, had a slight dryness to it.*Bitchin' Blackberry - Strong blackberry flavor, very good.*Midnight Blue (Blueberry) - A good blueberry, but we've had better blueberry wines.*Summer Sangria - very good, liked this one more than the white sangria, and that one was really enjoyable! It almost had a bite/tartness to it, but still a good sweet fruity wine.*Strawberry Passion - It was okay, we've had better strawberry wines. *Cherry Grove - I know I said in my last review, it had a slight dryness to it, but I'm not so sure this time. It felt like it had a lot of depth, it was a very good cherry wine. I could not get enough of it!Muscadine Wines (They are much better at their fruit wines):*Enochville Gold - we did not enjoy this one at all.*Carlos - It was very good, but very light in the muscadine flavor.*Blush - It was very good, better muscadine flavor than the Carlos, and because of that, we liked it more.*Noble - we did not enjoy this one either.Clearly, we tried a lot. We had to go back and get glasses of what we thought were our top three, to have them together and figure out what was our ultimate favorite. Those three were Just Peachy, Summer Sangria, and Cherry Grove. I had a hard time ranking them as I could enjoy each and every one of them easily. Ultimately, I think my ranking would be Cherry Grove, Just Peachy, and Summer Sangria, and my husband would rank them the opposite order. Since you get six to a flight, the next time I would get White Sangria, Just Peachy, Apple Sauce, Summer Sangria, Cherry Grove and either Pear of D's or Bitchin' Blackberry.Even though it was raining, we had a fabulous time sitting out on the patio enjoying our flights at leisure with a picnic lunch. We sat there long enough to watch a small wedding happen! Just a fun afternoon! PS - they are dog friendly, we had ours with us on the patio!I definitely recommend Douglas Vineyards for some enjoyable wines and a good time!

This is a super cute tasting room, and right in our backyard! We planned to head to Yadkin Valley, but when we saw the great reviews at this vineyard and realized how close it was, we headed here instead. There is not a lot of parking outside, but we were able to find a spot. We went during the pandemic, so when we walked into the tasting room, we were told that only a certain number of individuals were allowed at the bar at one time, and that we could put our names on the list and find a table outside where we could drink a glass of wine or a wine slushy if we wanted. We grabbed wine slushes, cheese and crackers and found a table; it was a perfect day and a shady spot. We were provided a cutting board and a knife for the cheese, so no need to bring your own. They have a really nice event space behind the tasting room, and it looked like they were breaking down a small party and setting up for a wedding reception while we were there. We had front row seats, that was nice. Once the bar was available, we were called inside and we got to select six wines for the tasting. I like wines that are a little on the sweeter side, so I went with mostly fruit varieties, but I also tried a red. I really liked Pair of Ds, so much that I took a bottle home and wished I had grabbed two! I also liked Just Peachy and may grab a bottle next time. Some of the other fruit wines were too sweet for my taste, but the tasting was fun. When they closed a short time later at 6 PM everyone was told we had to leave. We couldn't even stay at the tables to finish our snacks, once the tasting room closed they kicked us out. So if you do go make sure you go early so you can really have a chance to enjoy yourself. But there is a lot of outdoor space, people brought picnic blankets to sit in the grass too. just a really nice place to either host an event or spend a day with friends.

The people here are as kind and friendly as it gets! The space is cozy, the outdoors well maintained and inviting, as well as cool (because they have a ton of ceiling fans and shade, hooray!). The wine selection is incredibly diverse seeing as it's not a massive winery. The deal you get though, $10 for a glass you keep and 6, count them 6, wines to taste. You can pick up snacks inside as well or bring your own food, and you'll want to stay a while here! There's even a gift shop with a selection of items from painted wine glasses to shirts and more.

My second time at Douglas Vineyards. Went with family and friends for my birthday. Four used a Groupon and did the wine tasting. Each were able to choose six different wines to try. Once they tasted 6 of their own chosen wines to try they get 1 bottle and 4 glasses to take home. Douglas Vineyards has wine from sweet to dry in red, blush, muscadine and white. My favorite is their bronze medal winner Cabernet. Some of the wines that they had were: Rockin Raspberry, Bitchin' BlackBerry, Just Peachy, Apple Sauce, Wicked Watermelon, midnight Blue, pomegranate punch and more. They are open on he weekends: Friday 12-8 PM, Saturday 11-6 PM, and Sunday 1-5 PM. New since my last visit they built a covered area where you could have a party or a small wedding. Lastly, can bring your dog as we did. And yes he was the life of the party!

This vineyard is very beautiful. The inside of the tasting room is pristine, comfortable, and cute. They have an outside patio area that's covered in the back. It's gorgeous. It's so relaxing to sit back there and have a glass of wine. The owner did my tasting and you can tell he loves what he does. He's so nice to talk to. I enjoyed the tasting a lot. They have some great and unique wines. Especially some of the muscadine was not what I was expecting and worth a try. Gorgeous property!!

Came here on a wine tour while in NC. It is family owned I forgot the guys name that was assisting us but he was very personable, knowledgeable and friendly. The tasting option we had allowed us to try 6 different wines. The Carlos, just peachy and B!+ching blackberry were my faves! Be sure to check them out if you are ever in the area.

Good experience overall. Beautiful grounds and picturesque lawn. Friendly staff. Good wine options and most of them are sweet choices. Wine tasting experience was good. The grounds needs more parking especially during events.
