This is a very nice park! I like the location of it! They've recently revamped the playground area for the kids and added a couple of cute little playhouses for them to play in! The trails are nice to walk, there's a great disc golf course here, and there's lots of space to run and play here. This is a very enjoyable park to visit and it's kept up very nicely as well as far as landscaping goes, etc. There are public bathrooms near the entrance, there is plenty for the kids to be entertained with on the playground areas, and there is gorgeous scenery like bridges, wooded areas, and the creek that runs through the park as well. There are also tennis courts!

Fabulous facilities here at this medium-sized park. Lots of stuff to do in the outdoors but not too much that there's an overwhelming amount. At 24 acres, the park has three reservable park shelters that include not just picnic tables and grills but also electrical hookups and nearby restrooms. The park also has tennis courts, playgrounds, soccer fields, a nice disc golf course and a mile-long gravel walking trail that I enjoyed today. There is more than sufficient parking. There is a lot going on.[Round number review 14400 overall, 1725 of 2020, number 2725 in North Carolina.]

This a beautiful park located in Concord. Its not that big and yet not small. Its goods for kids and individual of all ages. They have tennis court, soccer field, swings even for infants. They have shaded space if y'all plan for some potluck gatherings. The houses nearby the soccer field are beautiful. Overall this is a great location to take a stroll with the loved ones or for a tennis match. When i found this park near by from where i lived, i was happy that i moved in this location. The best thing is its never crowded so parking is always available here.

I've been here a couple times with my daughter and she likes it alot. So much green space around for her to run around freely. I bring a soccer ball so we can play with that and I've brought some chalk so she can have fun with that. There were 2 shelters that I spotted that can be reserved for private parties. There's a trail circling the park that people use for biking or jogging. The playground itself was cool too. Can't go wrong with swings and slides.

A great park off Popular Tent road. Afton Village neighborhood surrounds a lot of the park. There are fields to play soccer or play football. An covered area to have a party which is adjacent to the small playground. They have a walking trail ... didn't walk around it so I have limited info on that. There are tennis courts there that are decently maintained. However when it rains a lot a lot of this park including the tennis courts are under water! There is plenty of parking including side road parking across from the homes. Nice small town park.

This park is what I would call the "Goldilocks" of parks in the area. Not too small, not too big, just right. They've got a little bit of everything: Soccer fields, Disc Golf course, walking/running trail, small playground with a covered picnic area, and even tennis courts.Just last year I lived about half a mile away from this darling park, but now even with moving to the University area, I like to make the occasional trip back. The walking path is great and it's length is super convenient, it measures out to nearly a perfect mile. You have to walk the length of the disc golf area as well to get to a mile but it's pretty level and a great spot to get a baseline for cardio training. There's a set of bathrooms in the corner of the parking lot, it's a bathroom in a public park so don't be too picky, it is what it is.If you got an hour or so to burn, this is a great place to unwind, burn some calories, or just people watch.

Dorton is a neat little park just down the road from the Afton Ridge shopping center. I've visited this place as far back as high school and it's got quite a lot to offer. There's a swing set, two playgrounds, two large soccer fields, tennis courts, a half (9 hole) disc golf course, bathroom facilities and several covered shelters with picnic tables and trash cans. There's a path that runs the outside of the park and crosses over the little creek and through the woods. Its wonderful for jogging because it's a nice mix of terrain and it's almost exactly one mile around!

This is a great park for walks/jogs. One loop around the entire park is a mile which makes it easy for tracking distance during laps. There is a tennis court, a couple of small play areas for kiddies, covered picnic area and a ball field. The trail alternates between concrete/gravel (and wood where the bridges are) and there are a few small hills which makes it great for beginners/intermediates. The park is very well-kept and the restrooms are usually fairly decent no matter what time I have gone! The park is a decent size, but the parking lot is pretty small so parking tends to be cramped.

My youngest son and I have started walking local trails during Covid to get some fresh air and exercise. Man, this little park is an absolute gem! Parking is easy peasy! There are pavilions and a playground immediately in front of the parking lot. We didn't really know where to start when we went for the first time since it's not clearly marked. I saw what looked to be a side walk to the right of the parking lot and that's where we began. It's a nicely paved side walk that curves around to a bridge that leads into a wooded area. We continued along the trail and came across the disc golf section. This was where the exploring began! We found some pretty cool spots for pictures along the creek. The trail is the perfect length. One time around is good, but you can easily do two or more if you want to get more exercise. My favorite part about the trail is that it ends exactly where it begins since it's circular so there is no need to double back to get to the car.
