We dined here on a Friday night to support a friend who was participating in a comedy show. Despite having a reservation, there was some difficulty in seating us with the rest of our group. However, they were up adding extra tables and chairs to the group to accommodate us. Service was a bit slow, which is unusual for a Mexican restaurant. We had to ask for more chips and salsa to accommodate the larger party size. However,the chips were hard and did not taste fresh. When we requested more, the newer batch tasted the same, just warmer. I had veggie fajitas (without olives). The food was just ok. It did not taste seasoned. Definitely wouldn't be on the top of my list of places to return to.

We visited Don Pedro for a girl's night on a Tuesday and had a great time!I was addicted to a certain dish I ordered at a restaurant in Winston, but unfortunately didn't see anything similar on the menu. I showed a picture to our waiter Alejandra and she knew exactly what it was! Fajitas Fundita - Texana. Don Pedro, you should 100% put this back on your menu, it is fantastic! Chicken, steak, shrimp & veggies over rice smothered in queso. It's kind of like Texas ACP. The steak and shrimp were seasoned perfectly and weren't chewy at all. The queso had so much flavor!We also ordered a large guac that they make tableside and it was really fresh and also packed with flavor. The skinny margarita was light and refreshing. The salsa could have had more flavor but it's fine. I also noticed the prices are a little high, but the portions are HUGE so you get a lot for your money.I was surprised that Don Pedro didn't offer any specials on a Tuesday. We were hoping for a Taco Tuesday special of some sort, or maybe a drink special. All in all, I would definitely go back!

I went to dinner with my sister and had the BEST meal! Miguel was our server and he was attentive, friendly and never let our drinks become empty. The whole staff is always phenomenal, the table side guacamole is FIRE, and the cheese dip is to die for. I also cannot get enough of their fresh salsa. We have been coming here twenty years and will never stop. Please be sure to ask for Miguel - he was the greatest server!!!

The food at Don Pedro is delicious and the service is very good. Endless refill of chips and salsa (the queso is amazing). I asked for two chicken tacos and got one beef but I didn't feel the need to complain as I love both lol. The portions are super big and I had lots of leftovers!

So I could kick myself for not going here much sooner. Went to lunch here because a friend had recently visited and said it was delicious. And my friend was Right! The Chips and Salsa was so good. The Cheese Dip with jalapeños had just enough kick. I ordered a taco meal with rice and it was yummy yummy. The lettuce, cheese and tomato were all very fresh. I was impressed. My husband had an enchilada & taco with rice and beans. His plate was clean. When they brought our Check we got a complimentary dessert with it that had honey, cinnamon and sugar with whip cream and a strawberry purée. I would go back just for that. The service is also worth mentioning. It was great- everything was spot on and quick plus the restaurant inside was very clean. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

I came in for lunch because I was in the mood for enchiladas. It didn't take long to be greeted by the hostess and taken to a booth. A gentleman came to serve me chips and salsa.The salsa was actually pretty tasty with a nice kick and slightly chunky. The tortilla chips came nice and warm.Great music in the background that wasn't too loud which made the ambiance perfect.

I visited here for dinner while on vacation with my family. My family members and I ordered bean/cheese enchiladas (#14) and basic nachos. My sister found a long piece of hair in her rice so her potion of the meal was untouchable. The portion sizes of the enchiladas are too small and overall the food was nothing special. To be honest, it was a very "American" version of Mexican food. I have been frequenting this location since I was little when visiting family in NC, and the food and service has declined over the years. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back in the future.

This restaurant has great service for the most part . I love that they wear cultural clothing and the ambience of the restaurant is cool also . I will say the decor seems a bit old but that may just be because it's the style , I really don't know but it seems like it could use an update . I ordered the vegetarian burrito and it was terrible . I mean I couldn't taste much past the cheese and I asked for light cheese. My mom had something with steak and her meal was not even hot. The ceviche was the best part however it took around 25 minutes to get the ceviche. Plus the shrimp was deveined. While dining we had a drunk man come to our table asking us weird questions and the restaurant owner had to put him out. If your looking for something eventful then this may be the place for you .
