The perfect "hometown" diner. Been going here intermittently since the 90's and have yet to have a bad experience. I think it's the people that make it so awesome...same elderly crowd every time I go and the same staff is especially cool. The food has always been great and quick to the table. You can't beat the overall feel of his place as it takes you back a couple generations to a simpler, more uniquely southern than anywhere else in the county. COVID killed quite a few places similar to this in Catawba County, thank God this place survived.

Strawberry cobbler is great. Excellent hamburgers all the way.Menu needs some healthier options with fewer fried foods.

The best way to describe Diane's dairy center is that it makes you feel like you're back in your hometown. I really like the atmosphere with a bar and stools, booths and the grill proudly in the back center where you can watch your food being prepared. I did not go crazy and ordered the chicken fried steak with buttermilk gravy, although I was tempted, I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with homemade potato salad, I know boring, but it was delicious. Now if you want comfort food, this IS the place to come to if you're in the area. They have homemade pies, cakes and banana pudding! I am a fan of Diane's and I hope my review helps you make a detour for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

I've been to Diane's off and on over the past 17 years and I can tell you this is the place to go for some good homemade country cooking. I haven't got everything on the menu yet, there are certain things I get over and over like their cheeseburger. It's on an oversized bun and the beef is spilling out the sides. You won't ever say where's the beef at Diane's! It's delicious and beats the heck out of Mcdonald's for nearly the same price! That's my favorite. Also their soups are good, their chicken n dumplings, green beans, iced tea, and their desserts are all homemade. I only wished they kept malted shakes on the menu! The place itself looks like the 1950's with the little round barstools at the U shaped counters and then square tables with chairs, nothing fancy. Be prepared to be underwhelmed at the decor, because the food is the star of the show, not the furniture. Like eating a really good meal at your grandma's house. Delicious and seasoned well. The atmosphere is good old southern friendly. People know each other, there are regulars that show up every day or at least every week. It's worth the drive to stop in for lunch.

Only been here once but I'm impressed! I have a little thing I call lovingly "grease Burger" ...it's not an insult it's a compliment. Its the Burger that you get all over you because the chili and slaw just drip off. Some are nasty but a true grease Burger is a work of art and you don't care how much you wear. This little hole in the wall diner has those kind of burgers. I love it!Decorated in old soda shop fashion, it's a blast from the past, too. Although they are a little pricey, they're with it! And they keep odd hours so you're lucky too greet these juicy morsels of goodness when you want them too. If you don't mind braving the crowds when they are open, give them a try!You won't regret it!

They have great food and a friendly staff and owner. I love the homey atmosphere. Also like that they are open on Monday night!

Great food all around. Never have been disappointed with going here. Great service and great food. Wonderful daily specials. Had the Smoked Sausage and Kraut with Side Salad and Fried Squash. It was great. Simple but tasty.

Homemade desserts! Enough said!! LolThis is a place where all the locals eat. Everything is made fresh and is delicious. The owner and all of the staff are very friendly. You are treated like family. Burgers are great and so are the daily specials.

This is the best little restaurant in town. Hotdogs are great and the meals well they are so yummy as well as desserts. Not one thing on the menu I wouldn't recommend. Must try it you won't be sorry and trust me you will be back. The staff every one is so friendly and helpful.
