I have to say how upset I am with myself that this place is so close to my job and yet I don't go often lol. Had a burger fixed to order with all the toppings I wanted and it was sooooo good. And got a strawberry pineapple lemonade to wash it down. Let me tell you, their lemonade selection is top tier and this is coming from someone who's ALWAYS gets a sweet tea everywhere I go, so if I switch it up for lemonade trust me when I say it's amazing! The young lady behind the counter taking orders was literally prob one of the sweetest people I've ever encountered. She just exuded positive energy and man do I love to see that, especially in the service industry. There is no seating, just a walk up window, so can enjoy your meal in your car or if can find a park nearby even better. All I know I am going to make them a regular lunch stop!

This was my first time here and I will DEFINITELY be back! I got the cheeseburger with fries and their pineapple lemonade and let me tell you!!! It was soo good ! It tastes like a true homemade SOUTHERN burger like my dad made it or something! I mean so good and the toppings were so fresh! I really appreciated they didn't use the typical ice burger lettuce! This was so good and the service was easy I ordered by scanning the the barcode on their window, ordered online, & my food was ready in like 15 minutes!

Terrible. I got this for 13.50. NOTE THE HAMBURGER; I WAS Charged .70 CENTS FOR THE CHEESE. No tomatoes..lettuce ..onion...condiments. just a dry tasteless burger on a small hamburger bun The French fries were low quality kriñkle fries.the stire brand and overfried. They were stale and cold.. This food was pitiful. I should have been tipped off when I could not smell any food cooking. No more!!! Shame on the owner.

After passing Derita Dairy Bar numerous times, was finally able to try them out. I got the double burger with a side of fries and a drink. The burger was amazingly good and added a bunch of sides - grilled onions, peppers, mushrooms, chili, cheese, jalapeños and an egg. Sounds like a lot, but it was so messy and great, just how I like it! And the fries were seasoned perfectly!It's located at the intersection of Sugar Creek and Mallard Creek and is easily accessible. There is a parking lot/spaces right in front of the order window, but more parking available on the side of the building.Try them out if you're in the area! Can't wait to try some of their other menu options and the milkshakes for dessert!

What a gem of a place disguised as a hole in the wall off a small strip mall on W Sugar Creek Road! It's a small walk up window where you order. There is no place to sit and eat so think of it as a grab n' go. They are only open for lunch and dinner, and not late dinner so you have to plan appropriately to make it during their business hours -- 11am-7pm! They are also closed Sunday and Monday so keep that in mind!I came towards the end of the day on a Tuesday around 6pm (they close at 7pm) and I did have to wait for about 30 mins total. There was one person in front of me and we waited about 5 mins to order and then once we ordered it took about 25 mins. There were several people waiting in their cars that had already ordered, which to me a wait is a good sign... people don't wait around for bad food! I have heard they have quite the line of people typically lining the sidewalk on a regular basis so I know I'm lucky it was only a 30 min wait as it sounds like it can be much longer! So what I'm saying is... be prepared to wait, but don't fret -- it's definitely worth it!I know what you're thinking... can we just skip to the good part already -- THE FOOD!!! Ok here we go, I ordered the DBG Burger with fries and a drink. I customize my burger do you have cheddar cheese, pickles and onions and for my drink option I went with the pineapple lemonade (and yes that pineapple lemonade was as good as it sounds!) -- The burger was good! Loved how the onions were diced, but the flavor wasn't too strong. I asked for extra pickles and got them! Cheese was fully melted. Not to mention the bun had a little salt on it spicing up the flavor. All in all it was a good burger. I'm not big on fries, but DANG! I couldn't get enough of the seasoning on them! Finally, the Pineapple Lemonade was so delicious, it is NOT to be skipped!The staff was so pleasant and super nice! So that was just icing on the cake and honestly made up for having to wait a bit :)Next time I can't wait to try the nachos or Philly fries and maybe the hot dog or grilled cheese... but only time will tell! All in all... I am sold and will be adding this into my restaurant rotation!

I have passed this place countless times not knowing who, what they are, or offer. I decided to visit because I heard that it is a Black-owned business. I was surprised at the variety offered. I pulled into the small parking lot and walked up to the window. This is not a dine-in business, it's a window. The lady at the window was very helpful and did not make me feel rushed as I had never visited before. This place exceeded my expectations. I did not order any food but decided to get a milkshake. I was expecting a simple vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry milkshake with no add-ins but I was met with a nice assortment. I ordered a brownie shake with no whipped cream. I can say that it was a bit pricey. The milkshake was okay. I expected chunks of a brownie but instead, it was finely blended in. My visit reflects June 2021.

Driving by, it can be easily missed if you're not paying attention. There is no dine in seating or restaurant. It's only a walk up window where you order and a separate window for pick up. There is a small area next to it that you can park at to eat in or outside your car if you're not wanting to take up the parking spaces in front.The team at Derita Dairy Bar was great! Greeted with a smile and positive attitude from the beginning. The team was thorough in explaining the menu and all the different options. I loved that when asked which shake we should try, they walked us through all the different cakes they had, toppings, etc. And the fact that they were excited about them. It's great to experience the excitement people have when talking about their business to customers.As for the food... Delicious! The burgers were seasoned well and even my husband said they were good (he's a tough critic when it comes to burgers). We got the pineapple lemonade drink and Nana Puddin' shake. Both delicious. My one area for improvement would be the straws for the shake! Hear me out... The shake was thick and the straw was way too narrow! Especially since there were chunks of bananas and vanilla wafers, there was no way I was getting that goodness from that straw. Maybe a boba style straw?! I ended up just eating the shake with a spoon. Haha! We'll definitely be back to try their chicken sandwich, which I've heard is also very good.Overall, good food and good people!

I was soooo excited to be near Derita today so we made a quick trip here to order dinner. So I ordered my hubby's entree online as I alredy knew what burger I wanted. I paid for his chicken sandwich and milkshake and upon arrival I ordered a cheeseburger with bacon!We waited over 25 minutes for our food, thankfully my toddler sons were alseep in the car! I'll say my cheeseburger was good but the fries and my husbands chicken sandwich were a fried almost to a burnt crisp. The worker did explain to us that the fryer was having difficulties, so yes the fryer definitely had a negative impact on our food‼I'll say my burger, and our strawberry lemonade shake was good, I'll try this place again when they crab fries are back on the menu, those are alwayS divine!!!

I stopped by Derita Dairy Bar and I got a burger, fries, and some nachos.The burger was good: cooked well, nice texture, and the flavors were solid. The fries were crispy and seasoned well, and the nachos were pretty straight forward. All around it was a solid experience, but not enough to boost it to 5 stars.
