Delish Cakery

I like to proclaim myself as a bakery lover/expert, and I was SO pleased with this place! I cannot wait to go back when I'm in need of a quality treat!I had lunch at the Boardwalk area and searched Yelp for a sweet pick me up. There were a few choices if you wanted a bakery or ice cream, but cupcakes were calling my name!This is a super cute small bakery. They do a lot of special orders and things such as wedding cakes. They do have a store front though, and sell cupcakes, cookies, truffles which are like cake pops as well as macaroons.I am very picky with my cupcakes (really the frosting and density of the cake) and I have a favorite bakery but it is across town. Because I was in this area I was wanting to try this! I entered with no idea about what I wanted. A man working help me and answered a few questions and also spoke to me about their special order business. He was very helpful. I ended up with an almond truffle which was just amazing. Compare it to a very large cake pop. It had awesome almond flavor. I'm pretty upset of cookie dough, and they had a cupcake that was a cookie dough cupcake. The frosting looked like cookie dough, and let me tell you that's what it tasted like! I want to get another right now! It was the perfect combination of cookie dough and a cupcake! I wait can't to go back and try something else. Are usually only like vanilla or almond cupcakes but this cookie dough one took the cake.

If you know me well, you know I am a Cake-Connoisseur! My favorite flavor is a classic Almond cake. Cupcakes, cakes, bakeries in general are my weakness! I'm a tough one to please when it comes to cake tastings. However, I used to bake cakes weekly for my family, so this makes me a cake snob. Delish Cakery's specialty are their cakes. (Which I haven't tried) I walked into this cute little bakery and saw that there were not many choices or selections of desert. The almond cupcake was a dry, and didn't have much of an "almond" flavor. It was around the late afternoon time, so maybe the cupcakes have been sitting out too long. It was disappointing:( The gentleman was not very helpful either.

I came here specifically for the lemon macaroon but they were all out. I opted for the strawberry truffle which was just as good. If you are ever in the University area near the lake stop by for a sweet treat.

This place is the best! I had to get a new bakery to do my son's 1st birthday cake last minute! They were more than accommodating, they gave me an amazing 2-tiered cake fully decorated in his airplane theme AND a fully decorated smash cake!! Talk about amazing customer service! The cakes were so delicious and looked great! Thank you!

This was my first time at Delish Cakery. When walking in it looks liken a girls dream. Love the decor it's pink, black and white. A nice place for you and a couple of friends to hang out or even study and etc. The place was quite and very relaxing. This was my 1st time I tired macaroons AND THEY WHERE SOOOOO SOOOO GOOD. I had the snickerdoodle, birthday cake, fruity pebble's and PB&J. The snicker doodle was my favorite!! There were $2.00 each. I will most definitely go back!!!

Celebrating birthdays this year is a little crazy with COVID around, so I wanted my sister to feel special for her birthday this past April. I live in Texas and decided last minute what a brilliant idea it would be to have not only a pretty cake--but a delicious cake delivered to my sister on the morning of her birthday. I called several bakeries in the Charlotte area, and of course, because it was so last minute, no one could deliver, let alone have enough time to make a custom cake. But Aryn ya'll. She made my sister a cute red velvet cake and delivered it on time. My sister was elated. I didn't get to enjoy the cake, but I heard it was ah-mazing! I couldn't be happier with the service and how it all played out. A big thank you to Aryn for helping me surprise my sister on her birthday.

We left glowing reviews on The Knot after our wedding however, we just cut into our 1-year anniversary cake topper... and it was absolutely divine. It was so moist and delicious still that we felt everyone should know. Fantastic bakery and our complete experience (even a year later) was outstanding!

Our cake from Delish was both beautiful and tasty! We were able to pick the flavor thanks to the fun tasting box, and Aryn was lovely to work with. We had a very specific idea of what we wanted for our wedding cake, and her design was perfect. It was the perfect day, with the perfect cake!

I ordered my son a birthday cake, it was his 17th birthday. The cake was so delicious, words can not describe. The bakery went above and beyond to make this cake for me, it was a last minute decision and I am so glad we made the perfect choice. I have four kids and every birthday cake will come from Delish Cakery.

Aryn did a magnificent job on our wedding cake! The cake testing was my favorite part of planning our wedding. Aryn made us feel like family and easy to do business with. She was in contact with us, and called before the wedding to confirm and help us feel at peace with the delivery. We also rented the cake platter and I am super glad we did! The visual appearance turned out better than we could have imagined. She handmade these gorgeous blue hydrangeas for the cake topper. We decided fondant over real flowers just to be on the safe side as our wedding was on a hot May day and didn't want a real flower to droop, prior to cutting the cake. the cake was classy and elegant, just beautiful! We ended up going with vanilla just because we wanted to ensure that everyone would like the cake. The cake was moist, fluffy (not too airy, just right) and sweet! I know she uses real butter as I could taste the buttery richness verses crisco like many of the other local bakeries bake with. She also made macaroons for a party favor for our guests. My husband is a HUGE macaroon fan and he wanted to put them all in a bag and bring them to our hotel that night as a late night treat! Aryn also went above and beyond and provided little boxes that had a hydrangea sticker with them, to seal them close for when the guest left for the night. I would HIGHLY recommend Delish Cakery for your wedding/birthday etc... I know they have my continued business! ~Ashley & Jayson
