DEFY Charlotte

0/5 not 1. Mega disappointed in this place. We went yesterday and spent over 30 minutes trying to get tickets (not waiting in line, this is literally the amount of time it took to buy the tickets).Not only did we get overcharged by $47.97, but when I called to see what this was all about I was given 2 different stories. "We have you a group rate for 10 or more jumpers." When I stated that we had 7 jumpers, "Oh, well at this location we do group rate starting at 7 jumpers." Not sure if she realized she contradicted herself within seconds. Mind you, the receipt says 10-29 jumpers is for a group rate. Perhaps we should adjust this on the receipt if 7 is actually accurate?Anyway, if you look up defy gravity's policies, 2 and under are free with paying parent. We had 3 under this age. So, those other 3 jumpers that we were charged for should not have been charged for due to us having the parents.She tried telling me they were saving us money, but in actuality had we been charged correctly, it would've been $14 more for our 7 jumpers, not $47.97 for the 3 jumpers who shouldn't have been charged. Not only was she rude in describing this to me, but she giggled at the end of it all.VERY disappointed. We won't be back, and I will be sure to share this review with everyone we know.

I recently discovered this place and my daughter likes it a lot! Our 1st visit was about 2 Saturday's ago, it was the afternoon and it was packed! A waiver needed to be completed before you can purchase and they had 1 kiosk for u to complete that and the person in front of me was taking a long time so as I was waiting I started completing the waiver on my phone from the site. I got to the window to purchase the ticket and the plan was to just purchase for the day but the gentleman at the window told me for the same price I can do their monthly membership and and she can come as often as she like. That seemed like a no-brainer to me because if she goes at least twice a month I already I got my moneys worth. I purchased their special sold with the grip and then she was on her way. I was a little nervous at first because the older kids can be a bit rough but my daughter hit er held her own and it was a lot of kids there. Yesterday I went around 10:30am and there was only a handful of kids there so it was perfect. We ended up having lunch there from their cafe and next thing I know it was 2 hours later. I'm surprised she was entertained for that long. We'll continue coming back on the earlier side.

We have been here several times, in fact we do have the VIP passes. Because we have the passes we decided to do my sons birthday party here. I was very nervous how this was going to go because of all the bad reviews on here but my son insisted so I agreed. While I do agree with some of the other reviews that's it's hard to ever get anyone in the phone, I did have someone call to confirm the party 3 days before. Their rules sound pretty strict on jump time, party time, set up time, so I was nervous again how smoothly everything would run. However, Kayla was our server and she was FANTASTIC. She went above and beyond the entire time we were there. She was polite, knowledgeable, helpful, she even helped put up decorations, helped me decorate the cake and cupcakes, she even sang happy birthday with us. She served the kids pizza, cut the cake, it was one of the most relaxing birthday parties we've ever had and for once I got to enjoy my kids party and not be stressed out. I was able to socialize with all of the guests - she took care of everything. She even passed out the party favors I had brought. It was incredible! 10/10 experience and now having a hard time picking another place for my other sons birthday because I know we won't get that kind of customer service anywhere else!

Always bring my son & niece here & they love it! Weekends are usally crowded! But overall a nice place to bring kids to steam off some energy

Employees on their phones not watching kid or helping. Chatting with their friends. No one at cafe to serve customers. You should not have to look for help to serve you. I'm clad I didn't drop my grands off.

Checking in for my party was highly disorganized, I was informed that my "paperwork" was misplaced which was the delayed wait. Then, my party host (Brayden) was doing the bare minimum to assist. For example, I waited my guests' arrival by the cubbie area and went with them to check in. My party host was behind the counter and didn't want to check them in. "He said nah, man I don't even have the paperwork!" to an Asian decent co worker. So, that Asian associate checked my guests in without the "paperwork " The only thing Brayden did was set the party room up. He did not show up to serve the guests at all. I did it because the kids are hungry and we are not going to sit and wait around for him! The teenage fight that broke out twice in the play area was crazy. First, they started fighting in the back area which was broken up by staff. But, instead of kicking them out, the staff let them stay which lead to another fight in the main play area. My guests and my family was scared for our small children getting hurt. We grabbed our kids and left immediately.As we were leaving, we saw 3 police cars arrive to Defy. My hubby & I felt so embarrassed about this whole event ‍ I will not be visiting or booking another party here ever again. I DO NOT recommend this location.

Poor freaking management! Employee at the front was either high, or on drugs. She was constantly asking what i said, after i had already repeated myself, Falling over the computer with her eyes closed. Absolutely ridiculous. Management needs to find better employees to welcome KIDS coming into the building. My sister and her friends even asked what was wrong with the employee and there 10. the only good thing my sister and her friends have to say is "the slushies were good".

I would like to take the time out to say one of there employees CJ has been wonderful interacting with kids and keeping an eye on kids they have hired a great employee

Horrible experience! So much money for so little entertainment, I also waited one hour for one hot dog. Everything is overpriced and it's so messy. The workers are careless and they seem not to care.

This is a very unsafe environment for children. There were two referees on the floor, both of which were on their phones/watches and not paying attention to make sure kids were following the correct saftey protocols. There were children throwing punches and slapping each other, and no employee tried to break it up. Instead, two employees who walked back inside, wreaking of marijuana, were jumped on top of and slapped by children, and yet they were still not removed from the premise. Due to the business, clearly, not being safe for children, I do not recommend you go to the Defy Gravity Charlotte location.
