20% service charge because there were 5 of us. And the service was barely passable. Not horrible, but I think they schmoozed with smaller tables because they had a locked in 20%.The food was OK, but poor price performance. It's noodles and no meat, and it costs as much as a steak. Sorry, can't abide.

If you like real Thai food don't eat here. Red flag # 1 they spell Khao Soi wrong. Red flag #2 they don't have a spice tray. If you want generic tasting food being touted as Thai, this is a decent choice, the staff is super nice. I ordered basil rice dish, the dish was doused in some kind of sauce (not normal) the rice was quite soggy and soft, and I had asked for a spice level of 5 (the max) but it had no spice (it was so not spicy I'm willing to give grace that they forgot). I used to live in Thailand for 1.5 years. I don't expect every restaurant serving Thai to taste like it came from straight from Thailand, but it is at least expected it attempt to come as close as possible to recreating the tastes and flavors. New to the neighborhood, but won't return :)

Came here for dinner with a friend after a long day of traveling. Our waitress was prompt and the place was clean and had a good playlist going so no complaints there. I loved the beer selection and the sushi roll I got was easily a 8.5/10. Definitely recommend for a quick bite.

I only got an order to go so I don't have too much to say, but I enjoyed it. The hostess that took my order was very nice and quick to help and since she knew I'd be next door, she said that she would bring the food over when it was ready. I ordered a spicy crab salad which is just imitation crab, masago in spicy mayo and lettuce. It was the best crab salad I've ever had. It tasted fresh and a lot of different textures.It gave a sweet and savory taste and the perfect amount of spicy from the spicy mayo. It was enough to fill me up so it was the right amount of food. I wish I could have tried more but from the looks of other people ordering food there as well, I can say it is pretty good.

This is my second time coming to Deejai Noodle Bar and I am still confused if I love it or okay with the food. Upon entering, my friend and I are greeted by the hostess, and the environment was relaxing but noisy. Our waiter was really sweet and was very patient with us. This time around, I gave the sushi menu a try. The jalapeños hamachi was sweet and spicy, the salmon appetizers were tender, and the free spring roll appetizers were good. The NODA Delux combo... I guess you can say you get what you paid for. The sushi is mediocre, nothing too extravagant. On the other hand, my friend ordered their kasoy and it was a hefty bowl. The kasoy noodles looked chewy and savory. My only complaint would be not enough soup for the kasoy (sorry no pictures) Not sure if I'll come back to this place, but if I do I'll give the Asian food another try. And if they could please do something about their AC vent on top of their guest. The water was dripping and is not sanitary.

Walking into the restaurant, the ambiance was cozy and hip...just what I'd expect from a NoDa restaurant. We were seated in a cozy corner with our large family group and were quite comfortable. Our waiter was super friendly but the service from the bar and kitchen seemed unreasonably slow given the number of people in the restaurant. Flavors were lighter than expected - almost to the point of questioning whether spices were used - especially for a Thai restaurant. Our of everything I tried, I recommend the tuna tataki. We enjoyed it and would probably return if it was an around the corner spot but it wasn't necessarily memorable and tasty enough to make plans to return on our next visit to Charlotte.

I haven't been impressed by a meal in a longgggg time. The food was wonderful. Literally everything ordered was a hit. We had a Boss sushi roll 10/10, the Thai Wings 10/10, the Drunken Noodles with Chicken was 10/10, & the star of the show,The Salmon Curry 12/10Best Curry I've ever had (I don't eat Curry a lot because it's normally too strong for me)This curry was perfect. Creamy, hint of coconut, hint of spices. Everything had FLAVOR. I'll be back very soon to run that Curry back.
