DB's Tavern

DB's Tavern is incredibly accommodating! I thought my order might be complicated, but the waiter made it feel simple and easy. The salmon burger I had was juicy and perfectly seasoned. The bun was warm, lightly buttered, and complemented the flavors beautifully. The onion rings were massive, and dipping them in a teriyaki sauce added a unique touch.The drinks were generously portioned, and even though they were customized, they were packed with flavor. I love that this spot stays open a bit later than most places in South Charlotte--everything else seems to close early!Great food, great people, and as a bonus, the games were free and fun to play after dinner. I'll definitely be back!

DB's is a great little neighborhood tavern! We stopped by on a Sunday around lunch time to grab some food. We didn't get drinks this time but I can see how it would be a fun hangout spot later in the evening. They have a full bar and some bar games off to the side like shuffle board and darts.I got the DB's burger and it was not very good, unfortunately. The burger patty was thick, dry, and not seasoned at all. I actually added salt & pepper to the burger which I've never done before. The bun was bready and the unseasoned meat with the flavorless dry bun created a very lack luster bite. Even the ranch lacked a lot of flavor. The pasta salad was tasty and the homemade chips were crunchy. My husband enjoyed the wings. I think if we go back, I'll try a different menu item next time.

While in the area, it was quite difficult to locate a restaurant that stayed open late. We happened to come across DB Tavern and they did not disappoint.We arrived 10 minutes prior to the kitchen closing, the staff was still very accommodating. We ordered honey teriyaki chicken tenders with sweet potatoes fries and garlic Parmesan and honey sriracha lime wings.The chicken tenders and fries were a 9/10The garlic Parmesan wings 6/10The honey sriracha wings 8.5/10The bartender made our drinks just right. The tavern has plenty of seating, tv and music for entertainment. Great customer service

This place is but isn't good. But when we were here it really hit the spot. We came here after my friend's wedding looking to keep the good vibes flowing. I wasn't really in a drinking mood, but the greasy bar food was exactly what I was looking for. We got an assortment of appetizers that weren't good, but in a much more real sense they were really good. The staff and service level were pretty standard, and the atmosphere was simultaneously lively but chill. Overall it was a good time!

If you are anything like me and choose a restaurant for the appetizer (and specifically the pretzel) this is the place for you. We got the giant pretzel and it was delicious! It really was huge! There was also a good size queso to go with the pretzel. I got the small nachos for my meal and it looks small, but there is plenty to it! There are a lot of good toppings. There were a few bites that were a little salty, but plenty of food and toppings on all layers, so every bite was tasty! My husband enjoyed his burger and fries. Our waitress was busy and helpful getting us everything we needed! We thought the restaurant was just a little crowded, but there were some large groups there, so I was not sure if they were moved, or if this was the normal arrangement. Definitely a tavern feel when you walk in, fun place to eat!

Fun neighborhood watering hold that has great bites. I met my daughter after her work here. We had a plate of nachos and a small plate of wings. The nachos were decent (too much lettuce, not enough cheese). The wings were great (meaty and hot, plenty of blue cheese). At 3pm on a weekday, the place was quiet but we were well served. I love this neighborhood pub. Friendly service, great wings, amazing prices and a warm & friendly environment. We come here often. Standard pub fare - wings, burgers, flatbreads, appetizers, etc. we love the wings. The tater tots and onion rings and fries are all crispy and delicious. A great spot to watch sports. Don't come if Alabama is playing football. They were slammed busy today at 5pm due to basketball and the service didn't suffer for it. The place was full plus a birthday party and UNC game followed by a NC State game and staff rocked it. Bravo!

Came in and it was pretty empty other than their regulars, which was about 10-15 people. Sat down and browsed their drink menu. Servers were friendly but we didn't see them very often. Ordered our drinks and an appetizer to start. The appetizer was loaded tots, and I gotta say they were not very loaded. Light on the cheese and the bacon was under everything. Now that doesn't mean they weren't delicious, the tots were crispy and when one did have cheese it was amazing. I ordered the raven burger which on paper should have been amazing, however it was a bit dry and even with the bbq sauce, a bit bland. Onion rings for my side were very good. Wife ordered the Caprese chicken sandwich and was a bit disappointed. The flavor was good but could have used more greens. It came with one single, I'm assuming, basil leaf. This place looked like a great place to catch a game, so many tvs and a great bar. Look to have more chances to improve my thoughts on this place.

Gotta come see the Mags Man! Don't get discouraged about all of these haters in the review section they were just in their feelings that night. Swing by DB'S Tavern Anytime for a good experience!

If you are in Charlotte, DON'T patronize DB Tavern. They don't have enough food available for their guests. We came to h the restaurant to watch the NCAA Championship Football game. We were told that at 8:30 pm, the entire restaurant ONLY had six (6) chicken wings. ONLY SIX CHICKEN WINGS!! WTF?!! That is piss poor planning by management. There is ABSOLUTELY NO REASON why this restaurant that has wings on its menu would ONLY have six chicken wings total on a night where a sports bar is hosting a national championship game. Piss freaking poor.At some point, we ordered drinks. My friends and I ordered old fashions. When we specified the bitters we wanted in our old fashions, the waitress told us that the restaurant didn't have any bitters. Of course, she was wrong. The manager had to come correct this clearly erroneous information. DB's did have bitters. The waitress just didn't know what the bar did and did not serve.To top it off, when I later asked for a dessert, I was told that the kitchen closed. This was at 10:15 pm on a night where the guests were eating and this place was to remain open for another four hours. Here's the thing: I KNOW that they were preparing desserts at 10:15 at night. Those desserts had been prepared earlier in the day which means that all DB's had to do was to cut the freaking dessert, put it on a plate, and bring it out to me.This restaurant sucks!! COMPLETELY!! There's no need for my dining experience to have been so bad. Do yourself a favor and go around the corner to Carolina Ale. At least there, the staff knows what the restaurant has and offers, and they don't run out of food on the nights they should expect a larger than normal sized crowd.
