Beautifully decorated theater is part of the Central Piedmont community college with a just over 1000 person capacity. I went to a fitness competition here. Comfortable seats and very classic. There's a parking garage located very close to the theater.

We were here for a youth orchestra concert and I have to say I was pretty impressed. The theater felt professionally ran and had the same amenities and feel you get if you headed uptown to Blumenthal Theater --just on a slightly smaller scale. The box office staff were very friendly and polite, and the theatre was extremely clean, with a beautiful entrance and spacious foyer. There is parking immediately connected to the theatre, and also parking up the street to the left for the CPCC campus. It was very easy to locate and find parking and parking was surprisingly free --perhaps I parked in the wrong spot and didn't get towed?!?!Overall it was a fantastic experience and really enjoyed the venue. There are a couple of restaurants immediately connected to the theater, a Sbarro's and a Mexican fast-food spot, which honestly I'd avoid, they weren't that great of an experience --there is a separate review for those. Aside from that, great location.

This is a pretty above standard theater for a community college. Not an enormous amount of personality, but it's extremely nicely-appointed and sufficiently new and elegant-looking, with a satisfying faux old-fashioned (neoclassical? Not sure, it's been a while since college architecture for me) facade and decor. It hosted my daughter's YMCA Nutcracker performance this weekend and did the job nicely. Only negative, other than that it's a bit (like many CLT theaters) generic is the parking situation. Very tight parking deck. Leave your Dodge Ram 1500 at home for this outing.

I have no complaints about Halton Theater. Basically, you have to use your feet to walk a little way to the theater from the CPCC parking deck, but we all know a little walking is good for the soul. I have attended many jazz shows at Halton and it never disappoints. I am not bragging, but my seats are always in the first or second row. There is nothing to complain about from my point of view, which is excellent! Nicole's photo of the auditorium is great - and confirms my suspicion that there is not a bad seat in the house. The medium sized auditorium is a a great venue for jazz shows and they are always full.

I saw Smokey Joes Cafe last year during the summer and it was ok. I like Pease Auditorium so much better. Pease is way more intimate and I feel connected with the performance.Just my 2 cents

Halton Theater has been a great venue for jazz concerts that I have attended in the past 2-3 years. It is great to be able to have some of the best seats in the house. The acoustics/sound is incredible for live jazz. The seats are comfortable. The staff is very helpful in the auditorium and the ticket office.I look forward to more great events at Halton and other venues at CPCC.

I've had the opportunity to come to 2 or 3 plays/musicals here by way of my son at Northwest School of the Arts. Great seating for this theater creates a very intimate setting no matter where you are at.The stage is rather large and aesthetically the theater is very pleasing and appears very well crafted.Parking is via a nearby parking deck and you'll end up having to walk a little bit to get to the entrance. As a side note the sculpture out front of the theater is stunning.

Box office is very unaccommodating and do not offer refund. Weekend plan to see a show kill by box office. Will never buy another ticket from the, again.

Saw Les Miserables here. Parking deck full, so we had to park in an open lot. The theatre itself is elegant, with plentiful seating. Surprised that beverages are not sold during performances, as the proceeds could benefit the college and theatre.

We love to go to their summer shows. The performers and the quality of the productions have been great. It's Broadway , but at a budget price. And it's a beautiful venue ... Highly recommend!
