We were greeted upon entry and went to the counter to order. I asked for a few recommendations they were provided without hesitation! We ordered and advised that we could sit anywhere! The restaurant is small and on this Sunday evening they were not very busy! Our server was very attentive! My Mom and I had the Fish and Shrimp and a side salad! I had the Lobster Mac and Cheese! It did not take long for the food to come and it was flavorful! We enjoyed the food and plan to return!

Hard dry unseasoned lemon pepper wings dry uncooked rice and beans Box mix banana strawberry pudding two banana and one strawberry and four cookies. Never again

Aight now, for the price it has to be done right all the way until close. Fish was very greasy like they don't drain it first & sit it right on top of the Mac & cheese! Usually it's a fluffy piece of fish, this piece was small & had more skin than meat! Mambo sauce helped to over power the grease taste. This was a time I wish I would of known I was gone get a trash plate cause I would of saved $30

Always look to support local businesses. COVID19 did a number on every one. But happy we all made it to the other side.They open Sundays at noon. Had the lemon pepper wings, delicious collard greens, and magical lobster mac n cheese. They cook made to order. Plan on waiting min 20-25 minutes. This is Cuzzos2. The original spot suffered a terrible fire last month. Admite their tenacity. Keep on cooking!

Half of my flounder was just skin, so it wasn't even a full piece of fish. Two orders of okra and one was darker than the other and tasted different than the other batch. We'll chalk that up as old grease. Overall, the food was edible, but it wasn't as tasty as we'd hoped for especially for the price.The lobster Mac was tasty, but extremely heavy. The collard greens tasted as if they had sugar in them.

I've been a supporter here since they started in Charlotte and was glad to have location open in the university area. I usually order online because the wait times are brutal and the parking can be a nightmare. On my last few visits I had the mambo cauliflower wings, lobster Mac, shrimp and grits, shrimp and fries, fish and greens, beans n rice, strawberry banana pudding, etc. Overall everything is usually pretty good, and the next time I'll try soul food Sunday.

I've ordered from here for lunch and dinner so many times. Weekends usually require about a 45 minute wait but lunch isn't bad. So they are my go to for: fish and also waffles. Consider it a fast food spot but they do have seating in the restaurant. I eat a lot of seafood so typical fast food spots for lunch don't work for me but the fish at Cuzzo's??? MAN! Sooooo good. My husband loves the bbq fish which I haven't had. But check this out. They have a peach waffle. Yep I said it. Peaches are cooked right into the waffle and drizzled with cream cheese frosting. So the fish and waffles don't come together but I often order them both just cause I love them and I do t eat chicken. Please oh please cuzzos consider making it a combo...Btw my family has ordered pretty much everything off of the menu. Yep. Delicious. Try the cauliflower mambo wings!

Nasty!!! Red velvet waffle tastes like it sat on the grill overnight bottom side burnt and tasted likeChemicals. Chicken wings were dry tasted like they were fried days ago and reheated

I came to try the lobster mac and cheese and added some mambo chicken. I heard the owners were from the low country like myself so I was really excited to taste. They didn't disappoint at alllllll! Also lived in DC so was so interested in the mambo chicken. They allowed me to get all flats and I sat in the dining room and ate my food! It wasn't fancy but served its purpose

Avoid this place at all costs. I paid $22 just for a chicken and waffle combo which is insane. When the food arrived, the chicken was disgusting, it was gummy, chewy, and dry on the outside. It's like they use cheap chicken.Restaurants these days only consider profits over people. I got the sweet potato waffle which was OK. The waffle was nothing like "wow this is amazing" or anything like that. It was just OK. However, they charge $12 just for a waffle alone. I mean come on, $12 for a waffle is practically highway robbery. I got the sweet potato waffle because I can tell you with about 95% certainty, they use red dye #40 in their Red Velvet Waffles.I informed the staff regarding this, and they refused to give me a refund.If you want good chicken and waffles for a good price, go to Link and Pin, their chicken and waffles are very good and are only $19. The chicken tastes very good and they even serve it with real maple syrup, not the fake Smucker's maple syrup which is pure high fructose corn syrup that Cuzzo's serves. Thank me later.
