Crav’n Caribbean

This food reminded me of being in Jamaica and stopping each time I saw a native cooking up some delicious cuisine!G.O.A.T.

I've been following Crav'n Caribbean for years and finally made it to Charlotte to try! I ordered on the website for pickup which took about 20-25 minutes. The restaurant is located in a shared community kitchen. You have the option to order at the location or online.Once I arrived, it took about 15 minutes for to bring it out and it was piping hot! Got back home and was able to try everything. I had the oxtails, white rice, mac and cheese and collard greens. The amount of food they provide for the price is completely worth it. The oxtails have a bit of a kick to it which I loved, very tender and seasoned well. The mac and cheese was cheesy and the collard greens with turkey was "chefs kiss"!OMG it did not disappoint!! 10/10 - today recommend. Do yourself a favor and try if you are in the Charlotte/Greensboro area.

Idk how there is anything less than 5 stars on here. Always plan on carry out as city kitchen isn't exactly the vibe for sitting down. Know this food is cooked hot and it takes time. Be patient!We've had a little bit of everything here, the rice and peas, salmon bites, Mac, collards, plantains, oxtails, fries, and oxtail cheesesteak. You really can't pick a bad side, in fact that's the hardest part. My fav is definitely the oxtail cheesesteak, incredible melt in your mouth goodness. They also package it with each component separate, so nothing gets soggy. All in all, you're going to pay a bit more than other lunch spots but the food is quality and unique.

Just want to shout out chef Tammy for the amazing food and outstanding customer service! Made an honest mistake ordering at the kiosk because their aren't any instructions and the set up was confusing so I ordered from taste of seol by mistake. The owner of taste of seol wasn't willing to work with me or even come out to have a conversation. However chef Tammy went above and beyond to help me out and the food was amazing!

Initially found this place from social media and knew I had to give them a try. I saw their post on their oxtail cheesesteak and my life hasn't been the same since! I have gone a few times over the past few years, the only thing that was a hassle was the wait time but the last time I went it was ready in the time frame they provided. They don't skimp on meat and it is full of flavor.

Our city's tagline is true--Charlotte does indeed have a LOT. Amazing as our food scene is, what we don't have much of here is amazing Carribean food--in my humble, native New Yorker opinion--until now. Crav'n Caribbean checks all the boxes for me on what good Caribbean food should be--fresh, excellently spiced, and expertly prepared. What takes them over the top for me is their creativity. As someone who grew up surrounded by Caribbean cuisine, I can't say that I encountered the likes of jerk lamb chops, oxtailmac & cheese, or jerk salmon egg rolls--yet, I'm glad to know them now, lol! While my favorite combo so far is the oxtail fried rice w/jerk salmon bites--in all of it's perfectly prepared rice & beans loaded with tender, flavorful oxtail meat and accompanied by tasty crisp yet juicy salmon GLORY--I can also say that Crav'n Caribbean has not disappointed me yet. Run, don't walk, to check them out today!

Located in the City Kitchen along with a few other restaurants. This is not a place that you sit in and eat but order on an ipad and someone will come out of a door with your food when it's ready. Basically what we call a ghost kitchen. Me and a friend went on Juneteenth. A lot of the restaurants were closed but wanted to give them a try. My snapper was fried to perfection. I got bbq sauce and honey drizzled on it and man oh man, I need some more. I do appreciate that their yams weren't super sweet but just right and the plantains were sweet and cooked perfectly. I will definitely be coming back to place an order. My friend was amazed at the flavors from her jerk chicken and rice. It's def an order again and try something new. I'll def be back!!

I ordered the oxtail plate with collard greens, rice and peas, and added mac and cheese. The meal was $37.The oxtails were spicy but okay. The rice and peas were also spicy but reminded me of my mom's home cooking, but not as good. The Mac and cheese was horrible. It was oily and nasty. The smell of the food also turned me off. I ended up throwing it out for the most part, only eating a small part of the rice and an oxtail. I did like the collards. The place was really busy and took a long time to get my food. I really feel like I wanted my money and I'm sad because I followed them on Instagram and wanted to try them. After my initial review, the owner called me and asked to make me another plate to make it right. I really appreciate the thoughtfulness of that.

Heard great review about this place. It's in a shared kitchen space. It took awhile to get our food but once we did we were not disappointed. They gave large portions and the food was hot and fresh. The oxtail cheesesteak was very flavorful, a little too salty for my liking 3.8/5. The salmon bites were good 5/5. Mac and cheese was tasteful 4.5/5. I'm going to try some of their other items!

Do not come here the customer service is terrible and you don't have anybody to talk to about your food. also expect to wait 15 minutes before you can talk to someone, and 30 minutes before you can get your food.
