Cranford Brothers BBQ

We were there for the first time last night, and we loved it! Our waitress was so sweet and personable (light blonde with glasses - kudos to her!), and we really enjoyed the food. My husband had BBQ, and I had a waffled spud (delish!). We just had a great time, and there is local beer on tap, too. I'd highly recommend it!

I ordered a pulled pork sandwich with fries and it was delicious! The portion is just right, and I LOVE the spicy barbecue sauce. The gentleman that took my order over the phone was friendly and when I arrived to pick up still received great customer service.

I was just not happy with overall atmosphere. Servers were very not people friendly and food was bland.

One of the best spots in Hickory for BBQ, and there are no shortage of restaurants catering to that specific genre in our area. Or service was fast and friendly, and we quite enjoyed our time there. It's much bigger on the inside than I expected, and I loved seeing into the kitchen. Food was delicious! You must try the Bubba Fries! I am counting the days until I'm back!

Wow! This is a gem in Hickory. I come to town often for work and stumbled across this through the app. First impressions are HUGE, this is a big open restaurant with a nice bar in the front and open kitchen. But the smell of smoke meat hits you as soon as you walk in and it is great ! My server was Sierra and I must say I got the best service I have had in years! They explained the menu, everything is made from scratch and locally sourced! I ordered the pulled pork and the turkey breast with cheesy apples and red slaw. They also have great pickled veggies on the side. Wasn't crazy about the slow and Sierra offered a different side so I tried the greens which were spot on! It was just the right amount of attention and care. Can we just talk about the apples! Hands down one of the best comfort foods I have ever tried. Sweet and savory all at once. The pulled pork was great as was the turkey and I love a good selection of sauces and they were all excellent as well. I will be back and am even considering grabbing take out for my drive home tomorrow!

My meal was terrific. Everyone that I encountered was very friendly and helpful. Wait staff was particularly knowledgeable.I'll be back again soon. Next time I am going to order a Burnt Ends Sandwich. Can't hardly wait!!

Met some friends for dinner, and I was SO hungry for some BBQ. We ordered some food and I anxiously await my food... and was mostly disappointed. All the sauces were very lackluster. The sweet and spicy was a thin tomato sauce that was spiced up, but nothing more. The sides were bland. The drink I ordered was really subpar and on my ticket was a completely different drink??? A bizarre dinner with really great company made the restaurant better than it really was. Tuesday bar downstairs was a nice place to hang after dinner, but I wouldn't eat there again.

Got the city spud with brisket and a turkey Cobb salad to share between 3 of us. Salad was delicious and abundant. The blue cheese dressing had nice chunks of blue cheese in it. The brisket was tender and flavourful. My only disappointment with the potato was supposed to have marinated mushrooms instead had broccoli in it. I don't mind broccoli so it was okay but wasn't what was listed on the menu. Found out once we got home They had it ready quickly for takeout. Customer Service was nice.

Food is hit or miss. Sometimes is drowned in pepper...sometimes is drowned in vinegar....Sometimes it's loaded with fat. Used to be a weekly spot, sometimes twice a week, but things have declined since Sierra isn't there anymore. Then the food started not being that good. It's usually cold when you get it whether it's dining in or takeout. You can order a sandwich and they will give you all the sauce you ask for but if you order a pound of pulled pork you're not getting any. That's ok...I'll just buy sauce. 8 ounces of sauce you purchased is only 5 1/2 when you get home. Most servers are nice but a couple get snappy with you. Cannot wait for another bbq place to open up in Hickory.

When we walked in we were not greeted and the hostess or waitress was sitting down talking to someone and we were told to find a seat anywhere.High prices, food was not good and everything we wanted they said they were out. Their sweet potato casserole was dryYes, they have a sign that says they have these meats until they run out.That's fine, then the waitress should tell us, not let us keep naming things and you say "we're out".
