Cramer Mountain Club

Played this course on Monday 9/18/23 with 91 others for the 5th Annual Gaston Association of Realtors Charity Golf Tournament.The last time I played the course was in 1982, so it was 41 years ago.It's a private club so your expectations are high. Lot's of ups and downs with elevated tee boxes and and greens.Overall the course was in great condition, all the fairways were green and well mowed, tee boxes in great shape and the greens were well trimmed and rolling true.It was a Chamber of Commerce day with perfect weather!There were a couple of things I thought were odd. None of the holes were marked. No yardage distances from any of the tees.Normally it wouldn't even be a deal but there were 91 golfers, all in 4 somes and we all started on different holes. There are various turns over neighborhood roads so it got a bit confusing.The other thing was the driving range, it was all matt's.Who likes to hit off matt's especially warming up for a tournament and especially driver?

This course is advertising newly renovated greens. It was in really bad shape. However, the best part of the day was the barbecue lunch. Was definetly not newly renovated - 90% of the greens were cancerous.

Cramer Mountain Club is a hidden gem. The coarse is outstanding. Greens are immaculate and fairways are excellent. This is not a club where you pay for white table cloths. CMC places emphasis on providing the best amenities to accommodate your entire family. For what you get for the $$$ it can't be beat. CMC will be the most scenic course in the area by a long shot. If you have not been there of late I encourage you to visit.

The best course and staff that I've been to in the Charlotte area. You are made to feel great every time you play the course and go in the Pro Shop. Thanks Joe, Chris and Scott. It is one of the most challenging, yet rewarding, courses you will ever play.A hidden gem.

The greens are green and the fairways are fair. This is one of the premier golf courses in the Charlotte and surrounding area. I would highly recommend this course.

The course and club have recently undergone a major renovation - please do not take into consideration any reviews prior to June 2015 - this club is now way ahead of the game. Fantastic job done by all involved.
