Cousins Maine Lobster - Charlotte

Wish I could give six stars instead. Perfect amount of lobster meat. Everything is delicious every time. I always look forward to seeing this truck when I drive through the city. Prices are kind of high, but it is well worth it. Get a lobster roll and dip it in the lobster bisque one time. It will change your life.

I finally got to get food from the Cousins Maine Lobster food truck in Charlotte. I absolutely love lobster and lobster rolls. They were at Hendrick auto mall on 5/24/24. The truck is easy to locate and the gentleman at the window was very animated and pleasant. I ordered a Connecticut lobster roll and the lobster grilled cheese. The total for both was $43.50 which is good for lobster. The lobster roll was good but not much flavor and no melted butter was offered. I can say I honestly prefer the Lobster Dog food truck's lobster roll. The lobster grilled cheese was very tasty but if you don't eat it quickly the bread can start to get soggy. All in all had plenty of lobster on both sandwiches so I was good. Try for yourself but I think I am good.

I've been wanting to try this food truck ever since I saw their episode on The Shark Tank, and I finally did. The seafood was high-quality and undeniably fresh.While the portions weren't huge, they were still satisfying. I loved the lobster roll! However, I wasn't a huge fan of the lobster bisque. In all fairness, I'm not a huge fan of lobster bisque in general, but I tried it anyway. The service was efficient and they were super friendly. I'll try them out again sooner than later.

I try to go at least once a year when the food truck comes to Columbia SC. The lobster roll is great. However, it probably won't fill you up. If you are really hungry you probably should get the quesadilla. The lobster bisque is usually also really good. Unfortunately, this time it had no lobster. It was all bisque. Not too happy about that, especially at the price they charge. There was also an issue with their ordering system. Using the app, I ordered lobster bisque and it showed clam chowder on their end. Only after I showed my online receipt to prove it, did they offer to fix it. Unfortunately, I wish the lobster bisque came with lobster as shown in their photo. It was not even garnished with lobster as they advertised. I do plan on coming back again. I probably will stop getting the lobster bisque though in case they stopped putting lobster in it. It's probably a cost cutting measure. If you like lobster rolls though, this is a good place to go. I'll be back just for the roll.

Attended the Tega Cay Best Dam Food Festival and got a chance to finally visit this food truck. I will say, I was not disappointed. Great, delicious, and really fresh seafood. I ordered the Lobster Quesadilla (forgot to take a pic before I dug in; they looked so tasty), which was quite filling and had huge chunks of lobster meat. My family had the lobster rolls (chilled and served warm). We can agree that it all was delicious. They are a bit pricey, but worth in IMO. The service was great; the young lady spoke with a soft tone. She was really sweet. Looking forward to trying something different next time.

The tots were surprisingly crispy & I loved that! The lobster roll was delicious. I went Maine style with butter. The people working the truck were great with their service. Was sad that they were out of bisque on the day I had them, but what I ordered was delicious enough that I'm excited to have them again. Prices are higher than most food trucks, but it's because of the quality of the lobster. Definitely a splurge, but worth it!

Food Truck day at my job.. OMG ... the lobster bisque and lobster grilled cheese sandwich, made my day. Fresh, seasoned and delicious. I don't have enough room for my WHOOPIE PIE.. I demolished that sandwich.

After several hints from my wife about wanting lobster, it finally hit me and I hit up Cousins. I was there a few minutes before their posted opening time of 11am. They opened the service window at 11am sharp. Very nice. I was greeted with smiling faces from the two manning the truck. Ordered with no problems and was served quickly. My wife enjoyed the tacos, but her only gripe was they were a little light on the lobster. Prices being what they are, I know we all want the most bang for our bucks. Business owners and customers. What mattered was wife was happy and enjoyed her meal. Will definitely be back for some more lobstah in the future.

Waste of $50 for 2 sandwiches. Yuk! Tasted like it had been sitting in a warming tray for hours.
