Cordial

Red head at the bar is why this is 1 star and that is only because there is no way to do -5 stars. If you're looking to get treated like garbage, get ignored, feel like an inconvenienced for the job that was clocked in for, get below the bottom service, zero care to craft a drink properly, and more, look for the Red head at the bar. I ignored all of this since there was no getting in the way of my good time but when another person said the same thing, I was like omg, same feeling here! I'm absolutely astounded that this sort of attitude, service and treatment to patrons is allowed. They were all there watching it. This is a reflection on the AC hotel brand and not the "bar".It was so bad that I went out of my way to personal tip one individual through cash app because they share tips. I just couldn't. AC hotels, please do better.

I stopped by to see some friends. And they recommended to come by Cordial for some drinks and a bite. Located on the 8 floors. It was a great night for a rooftop gathering. Weather is gorgeous and ambiance was nice and soothing. There were quite a few people at the place.. However, there's only one bartender working.. She had to service about 8 people at the bar including myself.. She was overwhelmed but she kept her cool. She had to make the drinks, delivers the food and try to restock everything all at once.. I really wish Cordial would've handle staffing better. Since this is not the first time I been to this location. They alway seem to be short handed. And the bartender seem to be doing everything. I ordered tomatoes & Prosciutto Toast. Definitely not my favorite. Toast wasn't warm nor do it has a nice crust. Overall soggy. The tomatoes just tasted like tomato paste. Nothing special. I truly enjoyed the ambiance. I just feel bad seeing she had to handle everything herself.

Cordial is a sleeper. Meaning, you may not hear or have heard much about it, but it's a pretty fantastic rooftop bar/lounge. Not to be confused with an uptown rooftop bar. Cordial is located on top of the AC hotel in South Park, but I wouldn't dare deem it as simply: a hotel bar. That would be 100% incorrect.Cordial is a gorgeous indoor and outdoor rooftop bar & lounge, nicely decorated with a great view of the city on one side. Be mindful that (like just about every area of Charlotte) one side of Cordial is facing an area that is under construction. It's unfortunate, but at this point we should be used to this as quickly as this city is growing. Try your best to be seated on the side with the city views. You'll see distant uptown buildings and lots of greenery. We had the awesome pleasure of just about having this place to ourselves as they were closing up early for a private wedding reception (Fun!). Ashland, was our bartender and whew...she is incredible! So creative and such a gem! She's legit my new fav bartender, go see her!We only came for drinks because I specifically was super excited to try the Summer Solstice pop-up cocktails. THEY DID NOT disappoint. :)Cocktails: "twin flame", "in my feelings", "it was all a dream", "failure to communicate" and a gin & tonic. All were beautifully crafted by Ashland and we really enjoyed each one. This was the perfect place to start on a summer Friday night on the town. Can't wait to go back and absolutely can't wait for the next cocktail pop-up! Kudos Cordial.

Interesting location. Not a great view, yet! But it might improve in the future. The day that I went it was BUSY. The bartenders were having a hard time keeping up with the craft cocktails on the menu. I'd try again in the summer once it's warmer.

Cordial is a nice rooftop bar on the 8th floor of the AC Hotel by Marriott in the SouthPark neighborhood of Charlotte. It has a nice aesthetic and chill, laid-back vibes with a nice view of Uptown Charlotte off in the northern distance.The main bar is located inside. The night I went to celebrate a friend's birthday, our bartender ran drinks from the bar to the area we were situated outside - but he still took orders inside. I appreciated that level of service. He was very attentive and even brought me a glass of water when he saw a new face in the group.Service was great. Drinks are reasonably priced and I love that it's low key. It's the perfect date night spot, maybe a place where you end up after dinner, it's perfect for a girl's night out or even a guys hangout for those who fancy it. It's also a perfect place for someone who doesn't want to stay home, but is fine going out solo.I didn't order food, but it seems that some folks in another party did - Spanish-style bites are available to order and enjoy. You can also order wine and beer if cocktails aren't your speed. There were only 2 bartenders that Friday night I went and one seemed to be a bit overwhelmed given the size of our party although we didn't order from her. Maybe a little more help behind the bar would make things comfortable for everyone, but I also understand the hospitality industry is taking a hit right now, so be kind to waitstaff. We're all just doing the best we can.

Is this place perfect? No, but come on, any rooftop bar/venue only has so much space and if you come up here on a Friday or Saturday Night, it's going to be crowded and busy.If you come here at night on those days and you didn't plan on arriving earlier so you could get great seats and hang out, don't mail the venue for your lack of forethought. It is a cute place with a great view and if it were not popular you could come here with an unrealistic expectation of getting any seat but.,.Plan! Get here early and relax, drinks were decent, not wonderful but I liked my Just Mai Type, wife thought her Rabbit Hole was on the sweet side for her but, we won one back.Nice!

Loved this place! Great atmosphere, well-executed cocktails, and yummy snacks. Brought my work team here for a casual meet up, and Cordial was aPerfect choice. Order the seasonal G&T and any of the apps, and sit outside at sunset.

Greeted by a staff member outside by the elevator who shared about the menu, and pressed the buttons for us in the elevator. Greeted by the hostess who offered indoor and outdoor seating options with a small patio on one side and a larger patio with a skyline view on the other. The large patio included some pergolas, and oversized chairs with firepit candles. The Paloma was delicious and the charcuterie board included warm pita bread!

I arrived at Cordial and thank God parking was simple and easy unlike some other rooftop bars! I took the elevator up to the rooftop and surprisingly upon arrival to the event it was a long line of people waiting to purchase drinks. I'd like to say it went quickly but it did not, it was one bartender but she definitely was doing the best she could. Once I placed my order for a custom mix drink she knocked it out the park, she put a twist on the Whiskey Cotten candy drink as I'm not a whiskey fan and it still was delish! I headed outside the seating was plentiful and the ambiance is great! I had the shrimp cocktail and Cubans sliders, I definitely plan to visit with girlfriends next time!

2 stars for the view. The outside is very nice. It's quiet and very spacious. The drinks are terrible. Just absolutely nonsense .... And overpriced. Kids serving adults. Such an opportunity and being missed. Stop with the "exact pours" for $16 a drink and let your staff have some leeway. The crowd is ugly here.
