Copper Penny Grill - Forest City

We showed up with about half of a middle school baseball team and they were able to seat us in about 15 mins. Our waitress had no problem piecing together which kid was on which parent's check and kept it all organized. Food took a little longer to show up but we did have a giant group. My shrimp tacos were tasty and filling. My daughter was content with her kids sliders and fries. Everyone else's food looked good and my son got a Philly cheesesteak that he said was huge. I never saw it because he was with his friends so I can't vouch for that 100%. Oh the Corn Ribs are great too! Never had those before and man they were good! Love the vibe here. Just good laid back eatery and sports bar if you want. Our waitress was great and very knowledgeable about the food. I'm set on coming back to the Copper Penny again soon!

This place is located downtown Forest City, NC and even though we arrived after lunch it was still very busy. I had The Rachel which has coleslaw on it and I was not sure how it was going to taste but surprisingly it was delicious! I found the sweet potato fries not quite crispy enough but they were good and are served with a sweet sauce. The ladies restroom was clean. They have tables out front to sit at and today would have been ideal but my friend wanted inside seating. The menu has a variety of choices and they have a bar.

My sisters & I visited for the Christmas lights & had drinks & apps at Copper. Food was great. Service by Courtney was fantastic! We have already decided to try entrees later.

Forgot our server's name already, but he had just recently moved to the area from Denver; he was great, patient, knowledgeable and attentive to the table. I was in the area spending time with family, ordered the Brisket Sandwich for myself - it was decent, was not disappointed. My father got a bowl of chili - he stated it was very good.Wife ordered the cherry wood salmon, and was pleased with the salmon as well; she said it was good enough to order again. Came here for some fried green tomatoes since last time I was in town this is where I got them, quite a few years ago, and unfortunately they are no longer on the menu. Still a pretty decent food spot, good for a stop in

Our waitress was wonderful and we were here pretty late in the evening. We were seated right away. We ordered the fried mushrooms for our appetizer and they were the highlight of the meal. In fact I plan to return for these and a beer sometime soon. I ordered the rib-eye panini and my boyfriend got a burger. Both entrees were good with reasonable portions. I was thankful to find a spot open later than most spots nearby. My side salad had tomatoes on it that were not good... and I love tomatoes. There were so many it ruined the salad for me. On the whole it was a good experience and I would return to watch football and have appetizers.

Good food. Great service. Friendly staff and the winds are amazing and oh and they have a really good brisket sandwich .

The staff were very friendly & helpful. I love the decor of Penny accents nice touch. The location is beautiful the whole street is decked out in Christmas lights. Steaks just ok sides drinks were good.

Food is really delicious. The inside is also very cute. Definitely a fun place to go!! The service is good also, they're always pretty busy and the staff does a great job dealing with rushes!

You can't beat the price for the food you get. The servers were very kind and accommodating. That meant a lot to us as my husband has a service dog. The food was wonderful.

Service is outstanding. We ordered the foothills fritters and if you don't, you missed the best appetizer in the mountains. Damn good. We added Texas Pete to add that extra and it was well worth it. The prime rib sandwich is to die for. Add the he horseradish sauce, and your in for a treat.
