Used to be one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. They still have good spicy salsa with the free chips. But with the renovations it not as nice and dark as it used to be. A couple of years ago I would have given it 4 or 5 stars. It's still probably the best in Siler City but not in Chatham County.The Chiles Colorado still has good spicy heat but the sauce is not as thick as it used to be. The flavor of the tacos has gone downhill. Service has also gone down while prices have gone up.

Compadres is our solid go-to place for Mexican food in Siler City. The food is very standard, but their guacamole is very good. The service is hit or miss for consistency, but it's good enough that we go back. They are in a constant state of changing the interior to more intricate tile work, so be aware that some things look unfinished. Our go to is the shrimp with rice. Their cheese dip is pretty solid. The fish tank is what keeps the kids occupied when we're waiting for our ticket. If you just want some good food, try them out.

I was seated with my husband and 2 children close to the front of the restaurant. we got our drinks but that was it after waiting over 20 minutes. no one ever came back. we left and won't be back to this restaurant

Whoa. This is the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. We moved here a few months ago and my husband has been going there religiously every week.Well today he decided to take our granddaughter and I.I'll premise this by saying no other customers were in the restaurant 1. Waitress was a low talker, long hair dangling everywhere (yes tie it back!) not efficient whatsoever. We asked for salsa and water 4 times! She forgot my husbands beer and the margarita and virgin margarita came out after the food. 2. Upon almost finishing my meal-I found a BB-yup-a BB in my rice. One of the workers took it back to the manager and relayed that she was checking the video in the kitchen to see what happened-which is basically saying she is checking the video to make sure I didn't put it in there. We were in a hurry and didn't have time to wait. Any manager worth their weight would have taken the meal off immediately instead of making the customer feel they did something wrong. I'd I was going to scam you-I would have "found" a bb in the more expensive food. 3. The virgin margarita and regular margarita with an extra shot were the same price. What? I'm trying to calculate how that would be possible. My margarita actually tasted like a virgin one. I apologized to my husband over and over about the situation and he said "don't worry-I won't be coming back here again."We paid for the whole check-and guess what Compadres-because you wouldn't take off an 8.00 meal-and made a customer feel like a liar-you've lost a weekly customer. Good for you. Makes perfect business sense to meBtw I'm reporting you to the health department
