I recently took an improv class here and would recommend to anyone thinking about it. My classmates were a blend of people from all walks of life and the improv class brought us together and inspired joy. Our teacher, Katie, was an amazing instructor who ensured everyone got what they wanted out of the class. We laughed, some cried, and we all bonded through an unforgettable experience. The theater is inclusive, welcoming, and allows you to be whoever you want to when you walk through the doors. I've attended a few shows here as well and they are well priced and hilarious!

Love attending performances here! An inclusive theatre that provides awesome entertainment. I love improv game night -- never know what will happen. They have drinks and snacks for sale during performances and also offer classes if you want to learn improv, stand up and more!!

So many thoughts, some many expressions, and a plethora of words. There is a world of comedy that's exists in the world and there is a piece of it here in Charlotte. I am writing this post on my latest experience. However, I have not laughed this good and hard in my entire life! I highly recommend you catch! A show! The staff and folks at this establishment make you feel so welcomed and have all loving energy. If you haven't heard of improv or attending any I would say let this be the first stop.Thank you guys!!

Had a really fun time here last night. Tons of positive energy and lots of laughs. The venue is welcoming and friendly. Definitely somewhere we will go to again. Buying tickets online was fast and easy. Highly recommend checking out a show then hitting one of the billions of breweries nearby afterwards.

I met the owners at another event in Charlotte and learned about CATCh and their beginner's improv class. I had been thinking about doing something more than watching Netflix at night and really wanting a creative outlet. I signed up and I've been through 3 classes now and it's been awesome. I'm learning the "secrets" of the art and of letting the words flow. I am surprised at how much comedy comes out of everyone in the class when we just let it happen. I recommend this for anyone from the bold, to the shy, and the in between. My class has them all.

I have been performing improv for 10 years, have been a part of many teams and have made my way through many training programs. I believe that the Comedy Arts Theater of Charlotte, or CATCh, is the best place I have studied. They have a great set of teachers, a cool and fun space that feels sort of indie and exciting, and they put on great shows. They are really, really fun, and they will make sure that you have a good night. They teach patient, emotionally driven improv which is what you want as an improvisor. If you are looking to build comedic chops, train to be a better performer, or try to get into comedy and acting, do it here. Perfect for a date, perfect place to bring a big group of friends, and also a good place to come enjoy yourself for a night. Super funny shows. Quality improv. I cry laughing every time.

When I signed up for my Improv Level One class at CATCh, I was terrified. I had literally no experience in performance. I wanted to challenge myself and I decided to jump into the deep end. What began as an exercise in overcoming fear has developed into a love of the artform--wholly as a result of the encouragement and instruction by Kevin Shimko and Carey Head in addition to my awesome classmates at CATCh.If you would like to explore a new hobby and are interested in improv, I highly recommend CATCh. I honestly can't imagine a more welcoming and nurturing environment for the inexperienced. SAY YES!

I laughed so hard I cried. I saw the anniversary show last night and it was great, so much talent, so much fun. Six teams performed and they were all great. Lots of variety and even the audience got to participate. A small space so I really felt connected to the performances. Definitely go.
