Coach’s Neighborhood Grill

The wings was the only thing good about our experience here. The shrimp and grits were not the best. The shrimp was way over cooked and there was literally no seasoning on them. The grits weren't really grits, more like cheese potatoes that were cold. I've never had an experience were I couldn't at least for feed myself to eat the meal, as I'm a military brat and I was taught to eat what was brought to the table. The waitress we had left us and walked back and forth into the back room for 20 minutes before bringing us boxes. She kept giving other people the wrong receipts and honestly didn't seem like she knew who ordered what when bringing food out to the table and she overcharged for stuff I never ordered on my receipt but I was so over it by that point I just paid it because I didn't feel like waiting another 20 mins for her to fix it.Our family has decided to stay clear from this place.

Decided to try Coaches again for a steak and chicken. Parking lot was almost empty compared to what it had been being. Walked in and was asked how many in our party, we said two, and they seated us. Never took our drink order. Waited on a couple that came in after us, so after a few minutes we just left.

The food we ate was all tasty and mostly plentiful. The prices are really a bit high, even in this age of inflation, for what you get. Our service was friendly but slow because the wait staff is clearly overwhelmed by the crowd at peak times. The kitchen staff is also incredibly overwhelmed. They left an item off our appetizer sampler (fried pickles) and we didn't know they were out of the pickles until they just didn't show up. Additionally, my wife got pasta that was supposed to come with a salad and a breadstick. She got neither. We had to beg for the salad, which eventually came. The breadstick never came at all. My western burger was very tasty. I'd eat it again. The fries were solid but no better than frozen I'd heat and crisp in the oven at home. It took us 90 minutes on a Saturday at 5 PM to order an appetizer and two entrees and eat. The atmosphere inside is exactly what you'd expect of an American restaurant. Basketball and other sports art on the walls. Cocktail and bar menu is pretty extensive it appears if that's what you're going for. Bottom line: good food, slow service, missing items, overpriced.

Went there expecting to have a quick casual late lunch with my husband. Greeted by a very unprofessional, unkempt host. We had to wait forever for a server to come to the table. Although the server was very nice and friendly we waited forever for our food. Two other couples walked out while we were waiting for our meal to arrive. There were 6 people in this establishment at this time. Just unprofessional, dirty and just a waist of money. To add to this, how can a bathroom be so dirty in the afternoon. Save your hard earned money.

We really like going here. We have never had an issue with the food or staff. I see quite a few for door dash and to go orders going out as well.

Slow Service, Last few times we went the food was not up to expectations.Wait staff has always been friendly though.

2 is generous. Decor is great on the back walls. Nice murals of the Carolina sports scene. The remainder of the place is like someone tried but really didn't know what they were doing. Some jerseys hang in the bar area but the rest looks unfinished. Menu looks good if they could execute it. Out pretzel bites came out overdone and the cheese is runny. Gross but we were hungry. Waitress stubbles thru everything. Wait staff looked iffy everywhere. Our app plate and trash sat at our table all night despite some visits by runners and our waitress. The cheesesteak I got was super greasy so it was either microwaved meat or thrown on undercooked. Wife ordered one burger, got a different one. Said no mayo and well done. Was medium and had mayo. Cheese barely melted. We will be driving to Belmont, Gastonia, etc for our food. With the exception of Newgrass and Pleasant City Shelby continues to have horrible restaurants. Joy.

Food is great, everything we have eaten there has been good. We have had great service from all our servers. Anthony, Spirit, Jay, and Chris are our favorites there! We enjoy the music and watching football each time we go in!

This was our first time trying here, We got there and our server (red head) hadn't come to are table the first 15 minutes. Another server had came and got our drink order and appetizer. Then our server came to get our order. Are food came out and it was incorrect, but I'm Pregnant and was starving so didn't say anything. The avocado was absolutely disgusting! I'm now sick to my stomach, I got a burger and feel horrible, as soon as I took a few bites. I didn't even it half it was so bad. Let alone I needed a refill and sat without a drink for at least 10 minutes. They were not busy at all! And will not be returning.

Great lunch, BLT and Tater Tots. Tasty and fast service. Tea was just right. Very clean restaurant. They have a lunch menu.
