This review is solely for the physical venue and not the service provided. This is a beautiful location for any sizable event. The modern barn, the large outdoor lawn, the fenced in farm animals, views of the mountain and close to town but off the beaten path location are just some of the attributes. I was there for a wedding a week ago. A small cabin just across the street from the barn was a prep area for the bride and her maids. It also made for a lovely photo background. Parking is on a grassy field and even though we experienced rain later in the day, it was never slippery or muddy, ie, good drainage. Children at the wedding reception enjoyed petting the photogenic llamas.

Beautiful event venue outside of Asheville. The setting is a valley surrounded by mountains. There is a barn/indoor event venue and a large lawn that is perfect for setting up a tent. The barn gives you a measure of security in case it rains. Parking is convenient, right beside the barn. Llamas and cows are wandering adjacent fields, giving it a pastoral air. It is located in Weaverville and is a little difficult to find so allow plenty of time- at least half an hour from Asheville. Lovely place!

Woo-hoo another wedding venue review!Claxton Farm is a gorgeous space a little north of downtown. Not too far off 26, it's fairly easily accessible. This venue offers a great view, and a large open field for ceremonies. When I say large I mean LARGE. It's massive. There's also substantial space for parking, nestled on the opposite side of the field so photographs won't contain the stray vehicle. I feel like the optimal guest count for a wedding here would be between 80-100 guests. There's a pleasant event space with a large fireplace that's customizable to your needs. It's not the largest space in the Asheville area, but definitely quite okay.As far as amenities go Claxton Farm is okay. The major issue I found was the lack of cellphone signal, and the venue doesn't have wifi access. In these modern times when sharing the moment immediately with social media is such an important part of an event, this could be something that may affect your hopes and visions for your big day. The venue also has a nice large catering kitchen, so your catering services can efficiently feed and care for your guests. Claxton Farm is a solid choice when it comes to wedding locations.

Claxton Farm is the most beautiful place on earth to have a wedding. My ceremony and reception was everything I could have ever dreamed of - and then some. The staff is fantastic and took incredible care of us before and during our wedding day festivities. Our guests had a memorable and fun time and will be talking about it, I'm sure, for years. I highly recommend this location and staff to anyone who is looking for a relaxing, unique and fun wedding day.

First and foremost, Claxton Farm is an absolutely breathtaking venue, surrounded by a 360 degree view of the mountains. It was the first and only venue we checked out. Don't get me wrong now, there were plenty of others on the list, and oh boy, did I have a list! But once we were there, there was no turning back... It was the perfect match, just what we had pictured for our wedding! Not to mention, Brenda & Treva have a way about them that is just reassuring when it comes to anything and everything! I couldn't have asked for a better team when it came to planning our wedding. From start to finish, and even with last minute changes, they were there to help with a smile in their voice every time we spoke on the phone (which was quite a bit lol). Claxton makes planning your wedding carefree and enjoyable. With lists of recommended vendors, and in house catering with unlimited menu options, everything came together easier than I could have ever imagined it. The day of the wedding, I was in complete awe! When we showed up to the venue everyone was working diligently and putting the finishing touches together, to create our Best Day Ever...and it was EXACTLY that! Our bridal attendant, Jackie, was on point. If I was taking a picture, she was holding my drink, and the second I was done, my drink was back in my hand. She's like a magician, really! So coordinated, and on top of things the whole night. I would highly recommend Claxton farm to any couples looking for that perfect outdoor rustic wedding in the countryside. I doesn't get any better than this!

Definitely as good as it gets! We were married at Claxton Farm in May, and the day was spectacular! Micah, Lindsey and Becky each went above and beyond to make sure that we had a fantastic wedding day! There is nothing that we would change about the day~the mountain views, the s'mores, the sparklers, the wildflowers in bloom all made for an unforgettable ceremony and reception. We have had numerous guests rave about the idyllic setting. I give Claxton Farm my highest recommendation. The food was delicious, the staff was professional and detail oriented, all around the day was magical.

Claxton Farm and M7 were absolutely fantastic to work with from the very start to the day-of. We mostly spoke/worked with Brenda initially who was so lovely and accommodating. She walked us through all the aspects of the venue from preparing for different weather scenarios, picking out a menu that suited everyone, recommending wonderful vendors, helping decide on the rentals, the layouts, and timeline for the day of.Later we also had the pleasure of meeting Emily and Allen (the chef) for the day of our menu tasting. Everyone was so wonderful, taking their time to make us feel comfortable and explain all the options that were available to us. We were very happy with the menu we chose for the day of. Allen was very open and accommodating to help us meet dietary restrictions of some of our guests. Both Brenda and Emily were always responsive and followed up with updates and notes after each of our meetings. Since we planned all our own wedding this was really fantastic and much appreciated! They were also very sweet in helping us implement last minute changes such as updating meals for our vendors, not to mention we forgot our cake topper the day-of and they were absolutely wonderful in letting us know and getting it back to us.Our day-of coordinator, Candace, reached out prior to our wedding to make sure we had everything we needed and to answer any questions we might have had. She was such a blessing to have the day of the wedding as well, having her there let us know everything would be taken care of.We can't thank the Claxton/M7 team enough for all their wonderful work and help in making our wedding day perfect!

While the setting is beautiful, I'd be very cautious doing business with this outfit. The sales manager we worked with failed to communicate some basic information to the staff which created problems. She then, rather than be professional and take responsibility, lied, passed the buck, and heaped the blame on others. Perhaps she's just one bad apple in the bunch, but there were other communication failures that may point to systemic problems. VERY DISSATISFIED!!
