Claremont Cafe

I always heard about it but nothing I heard did it justice. The best burger I have ever had in my life. It is a lip smacker for sure. You have never had a vurger till you have eaten here.

Local town dive been around since I was a kid, everything good. Come on in and let Theresa,Tammy, Scotty, and Angie take care of your hungry tummy.

Where all the locals go! Food is excellent and the staff treat you like family even though they are slammed everyday!

I don't eat red meat but will make an exception for this places burger- hand formed, lean and delicious. Best French fries too- crispy and not oily ( they change oil often). Don't skip over this spot because it's a gem in Claremont.

The best part about being from Claremont NC is the Claremont Cafe. I literally make trips from FL to NC just to eat here. The people are my people, the place, my kinda place. It literally is home.

Stopped in here yesterday because of a couple of reviews I had read. This is a bare bones, small town grill, with a hint of character, and a sense of better times. There are maybe 8 or 10 small, plain tables, and no counter seats.You order at one end of the counter/cooking area, just as you get in the door, and then proceed past the cooking area to pick up, and pay for your order - there is no table service. The hot dog is not one I would order again, in fact, I left most of it uneaten - chili was sweet with too much of a tomato taste. Now, the cheeseburger was very, very good, and every morsel was consumed with gusto. It was nice and greasy, good size, and nice flavor. The fries were serviceable, no more. The prices are very reasonable.Bottom line: if I were in Claremont, and wanted a cheeseburger, I'd stop by, but that's about it.

Great BURGERS AND BREAKFAST. Great service. Home town feel. Love love it. Claremont little secret. It can be crowded at times.

It has been 40 years since I have been to the Claremont Café. Same as I remember everything was delicious. Perfectly cooked liver mush two eggs over medium, grits perfect texture and flavor, a swipe of butter and spoon jelly toast. The perfect North Carolina breakfast

Everything you want to remember as a kid. It's not fancy, but you will tell everyone about it. Cheeseburgers first thing in the morning. Breakfast sandwiches/plates are all great.
