City Walk Brewing & Distilling

Great brewery love the beer and the distilled beverages. Bartenders are great and help guide you. They have a hidden speakeasy haven't been to it yet but will get there. The brewery has a great outdoors area.

I recently visited City Walk Brewing in Hickory and was absolutely blown away by the experience! Their outdoor patio is fantastic, with lush turf, fun corn hole games, and plenty of seating options. The beautiful outdoor lighting and above-head heaters create a cozy and inviting atmosphere, perfect for any time of year.The cocktails at City Walk Brewing looked unique in flavor and were to die for. Their selection of unique beers from various distilleries, served in cool booster beer glasses, was equally impressive.The staff was incredibly quick to attend to all our needs and very friendly, making the experience even better. Prices for all the drinks were relatively reasonable, which was a pleasant surprise.To top it all off, they have a secret speakeasy right next to the bar for an elevated drinking experience! This place is an absolute gem, and if you're anywhere near Hickory, you should definitely pay a visit.

The craft beer was really good and the location was open and airy. I enjoyed the Strawberry Milkshake IPA the most out of the flight. The pontoon was least favorite. We ordered boiled peanuts and they were extremely salty, and the manager comped us for them with no problem. We would definitely go again.

I don't get to take many photos because I had two dogs with me after their walk. We had a good experience. They were sold out of the beer I wanted. Beer was pretty good. Love the outdoor seating area. The vibe is very Asheville. It's a great addition to downtown. When we visited, the barbecue place had not yet opened. I love the location. We will certainly visit again.

Really enjoyed the new brewery. Stopped by for Oktoberfest and had the fruited sour and the Hefeweizen. Great addition to Hickory and excited to see where it goes.We will definitely be back here

So happy to have another brewery in Hickory and the location is fantastic! Love the party cup style glassware they have here, may eventually have to grab myself one for home (only $6!). Both the inside and outside are very comfortable, not too cramped or anything. Great area for cornhole outside as well!Currently 8 beers on tap with a good variety, including a lager, two IPAs, blonde sour, and porter among others. Got myself the a Fallen Arches West Coast IPA (a fantastic local reference to the ill-fated and collapsed wooden arches from the Hickory City Walk) and am not disappointed in the least.The Nitro Harvest Ale is equally delicious - not too overpowering on the spices, but just enough to complement the butternut squash (which itself is a nice change from pumpkin for the season). Finally, got the Fruited Sour, a puckeringly good wild strawberry and peppercorn blonde, with perfect balance between tart, sweet and spice. I have a feeling this may become a weekend haunt for us when we don't feel like driving too far away from home (about 13 minutes for us, right at the edge of the Hickory social district). Can't wait to see what they have in store for us in the future!

Solid beer selection and quality. Staff is on it like a Brittany on quail. Noshes are varied, delicious and not typical taproom fare. Oh and the amazing physical space is fun, comfortable and welcoming. These folks know what they're doing big time. This is one not to miss. Cheers!

So excited to finally have a real brewery in hickory!! Great outdoor space! (I will say, the benches are not very comfy and do not seem very sturdy but not a deal breaker haha) I am a picky beer drinker, and only drink sours/gose, the sour was just so-so but I still drank two of them, and it is rotating! My partner enjoyed the hazy ipa & the fallen arches!
