City Tavern

This is a good place to eat! Cool downtown pub atmosphere, good food. I've had the burgers, fish and chips and most recently the ribeye. The steak and sides were seasoned very well and the steak was cooked to my liking. This is one of our favorite places to eat in Salisbury.

In the words of Bo Peep in Toy Story, "I think I found MY moving buddy". This pace is really cool. I was in town as my daughter is starting theater here in Salisbury and I was looking to try some of the local restaurants and see which one would be great to visit when my daughter is practicing theater and I need a place to work and eat. Well, I found my favorite with the first pic. Great atmosphere. The inside is amazing. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Then I saw the menu. I'll have to come here at LEAST 15 more times to get all the choices taken. I loved so much and had so many options. Check out the amazing menu pictures I took. But I chose the "Clucker" which is a grilled chicken sandwich with Gouda pimento cheese. It was AMAZING. I'm a big Brussel sprout fan and they had Brussels leaves sides. It was awesome also. I will definitely be back and I'm grateful to my amazing waiter, Luke, who gave me some awesome first timer suggestions and was really fast!!

The burgers are massive and delicious be sure to add a fried egg if you're an egg lover 10/10. They have the Matilda movie size cake slices "LOL" just know it's shareable. The portions are more than generous. Excellent experience, great service, the server was super attentive to our needs. Family oriented place such a nice downtown atmosphere feel.

The chicken quesadilla was small and sad; burger meat was not good quality. The grilled chicken breast was fine and probably better than the other dishes we ordered.My party and I were not happy with this meal.

We saw this place when we were in town for the Cheerwine festival and it looked really cool. We stopped in the next time we were in town. Very cool local spot with good menu and beer selection. Awesome sandwiches, we tried the chicken sandwich, burgers, and wings. Lots of tv's and seating. Service was good too.

Salisbury has a lot of cool place to chill and dine in downtown and this is one of the them. You don't have to drink to enjoy it. Typical tavern menu item but theirs are very good. plenty of TV and they have a patio. Nothing to look at sitting on the patio because it is facing the side street but you can people watch. Large beer selections.

First time at City Tavern and we were so happy with this place Our server Savannah was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. We had the tempura jalapeño spears which were delicious! I had a Cosmopolitan martini, which was excellent..my husband had a Burger with fries and all the fixings which included a fried pickle spear I had the Ruben which was served on marble rye bread with a side of Brussels sprout leaves which were crisps and really delicious! The place was clean, open, and had outdoor dining. The food was amazing, but the best part was my drink I had that was a lavender haze with butterfly pea flower and vodka absolutely delicious we will be going back again and again! Glad we found this in the heart of our new city of Salisbury you won't be disappointed

Loved the decor and vibe of the restaurant. Burgers were good.Only complaint was that the chipotle aioli on the Bacon Marmalade Burger was so spicy, it killed all the other flavors on the burger- I couldn't taste the bacon marmalade at all. Fries were good and tasty.Will be back to try more on the menu.

Four met at this place for lunch and it did not disappoint. Our waitress was top notch and the food delicious! We tried the Gouda pimento cheese as our appetizer. Enough to share and it was delicious. Reuben sandwich's were excellent and Chicken and Waffles did not disappoint. A lot of food for the money. Great visit and we plan to go back soon!

Good food and great service! A perfect place for burgers, wings, and fries. My kids loved the sloppy joe grilled cheese.
