China Buffet

Been here a few times before with my Parents never realized I didn't write a review.They were closed for a long time to eat in the dining room so this was the first chance eating inside in a few years since all the mandates.Well based on this visit , we all agreed the food was good. They keep everything fresh and replenished as quick as they can.The selection was like before. A lot to choose from.I even had some sushi and it was not bad. Usually not too good at chinese buffets, but here there is a good section of choices.Kinda helped my craving. They had a bunch of fresh fruit for after dinner as well as help yourself to ice cream in the cooler.Over all it was pretty good, they do offer a $1.00 discount for seniors. My Mom is always happy when she can save some money! Who isn't?We would go back sometime.

Some friends wanted to go to an all you can eat buffet and I hadn't been to one in a long time so I was down to go. We found this place. The buffet was ok. My friends pointed out the Squid salad to which I happily went back for seconds on. I also got their Mei Fun, Spinach stuffed in Phylo dough, green beans, and shrimp. It was good. We all were satisfied and full by the end of the night. Mom wasn't thrilled about the cookies as she was hoping for the almond variety but they only had the Palmier kind which she said was ok.Even though online it stated that they were open until 9pm, they were removing food from the bar and cleaning the floors before 8pm. Maybe because of the Super Bowl or because they weren't busy? Not sure. Before we left they asked us if we wanted any drinks to-go and they provided them.Thanks for feeding us after a long day.

Hooray for all-you-can-eat and at this buffet, it's done pretty well. Yeah, people are still being idiots but that's avoidable. Masks required but not enforced once people are seated. That's annoying to those of us who do wear them but you can avoid these people with good timing.The buffet requires clean plates for each trip and there are dispensers with plastic gloves so you're holding the shared tongs with your bare hands. That worked out well for me.Several decent options for all protein with low carbs and no sweet sauces. I did okay for keto but did get a piece or two of sushi.It's quick, it's good quality, it's not expensive. I'd return.[Review 14921 overall, 423 of 2021, number 2821 in North Carolina.]

This place is great. Layout of the restaurant is great. Food was also amazing. The staff is very friendly.

Both gps locations are wrong says it's open and the other it doesn't exist please fix and update location and if it's closed then update hours!!!

For anyone concerned about eating Chinese food during COVID-19, or because of COVID-19, the China Buffet on 74 in Shelby, NC has the whole contactless food pickup thing down with a great system--including a new no-entry doorway they've set up. You get 5 items from their board for $9.99. I got fried rice, 2 egg rolls, sesame chicken, sweet and sour chicken and crab rangoons in my box. After you call in an order or place an order at the window, they package it for you and bring it to the window. (See the pictures.) You pay in a slot and touch nothing. The doors are open, even in the heat, so you don't even touch them. We had so much food in our two plates (for $21) that we ate two meals from our one takeout order. So we actually got about as much food and ate less than normal from a buffet by taking it home. We were so pleased with the method and the food. I would argue they should do it this way all the time. I deal with massive anxiety, and this was much better for me. Mask up, and go check it out if you live nearby. Or see if your local Chinese buffet restaurant has developed a similar system. Two thumbs up!

So I'm down here on a little road trip to North Carolina. Yesterday I went to this Chinese buffet to eat, and I walked in and I was the only black person there. The first thing the woman in the front asked me was if I was taking my food to go...... I told the hostess I was eating in, she escorted me to my table and then I got up to get some food. After getting my food and finishing my second plate, she brings me the bill without me asking, I looked around and the white family across from me saw what was happening and they kinda shook their heads. Mind you, the hostess hadn't given them their bill or anyone else for that matter. It was VERY clear that I was being racially profiled.... so disappointed.

Good luck getting hot food after 12. We came here at 2 and the food is cold except for maybe rice. Service is good and all but I think the food could be much better.

Fast and friendly service. Food was hot and on point! We were worried after seeing it was smaller buffet but they had all the right things! We will be back ​

Although the owners are great people, i am very upset over the prices. They consider my 11 year old an adult...wow.... in my opition , the prices are to high for the quality to begin with but the price and age range made up my mind. I would rather eat at 2000 cafe in gastonia.
