Childtime of Indian Trail

I would definitely recommend this daycare to all parents. I have two kids that go here and I have never had any issues. The staff is amazing and very trustworthy. My kids have learned so much sense they have started.

A week ago my wife and I met with the director of the facility In Indian Trail, Mellonia Hemphill. We both toured the facility asked all kinds of questions and felt really good about this location for child care for our 5 month old daughter. We then discuss things and then I went by on a Saturday morning to meet up with Mellonia to collect all of the necessary paperwork for our daughter to be enrolled. I was told the spot was the only one available and that it was ours at that point and if anything changed and we did not want to move forward for me to contact them Monday morning. I never contacted them on Monday or Tuesday because nothing had changed. When I left the director on Saturday my words to her were "we are very excited to start can't wait to see you all next week whether she starts on Monday or Thursday I am not sure yet because it's the weekend and I have to get all of her paperwork together and we may not have time. So most likely it will be Thursday." I even asked if it mattered when she started and her answer was "no, the spot is yours just let us know when she is going to start ahead of time and make sure all this paperwork is filled out." I've been repeated that it will most likely be Thursday because Monday is not giving us enough time. It is now Wednesday the day before she is supposed to start we called in to confirm everything and try and bring the paperwork by before they closed and their response was the spot has already been filled we are sorry but there is no more availability. This is completely unacceptable, the spot was promised to us we were told the spot was ours and that the typical deposit that they require they were going to put on hold and allow us to pay the day that she started and let us go ahead and get the paper work together. The director of this whole facility lied directly to my face in telling me that the spot was ours and it did not matter when she started. If that were the case then 3 days later when we called in to confirm the next day as a start date we would not have been told that we no longer have a spot available for our daughter. My wife and I both work full time jobs 55 to 65 hours a week. We are now stuck in a really terrible spot because of this facility being so unreliable. I warn any parent against in rolling their child at this location purely because the person in charge of the entire facility can not be trusted in my opinion and I hope that anyone reading this agrees. If it were possible for me to give this location 0 stars I 100% would do it.

How on earth this center got the 5 star status is beyond my comprehension. I wouldn't give any stars if possible.Staff not only bullies children but also doesn't stop other children from bulling behaviors. From the assistant director to long time staff, I have seen bullying or staff ignoring the bullying behavior. Including name calling, making fun of missing teeth, and clothing.The nc law that says a child shouldn't have more than 2-1/2 hours per week of screen time was grossly ignored by the center. My child was given approx 2 hours during the "mandatory" nap time. My child is almost 6 and hasn't napped in years. He was expected to stay on his mat in the corner for 2 hours being quiet and to entertain himself. The center provides meals, but my child came home ravenous daily. My child was either served food that wasn't child friendly (green salad) or there wasn't enough food. Plus all the meals I saw looked disgusting. Overall I am shocked this place hasn't been closed. Staff doesn't care and isn't helpful with children who have difficult transitions into care. They stare at parents with cow eyes and don't make a move to help unwrap the child's arms around parents bodies. Then they have the nerve to blame parenting. In front of my child no less!!!We have been in child care centers since November 2011. This is by far the worst child care experience I have ever witnessed. From state run facilities to kindercare corporation - my family has always found loving and caring staff. We have always had great parent/teacher and student/teacher relationships. I have never pulled my child out of care in under 2 weeks. I knew on my first day it was the wrong center. It only got worse.Staff didn't know we were starting care. Didn't know about food allergies. Assistant director didn't know her own enrollment packet. I went to our child's doctor requesting medical records to be given to center, assistant said the doctors office just knew what to send..... Phone not answered and go to FULL voicemail boxes. Important information that goes on enrollment forms not given to staff. Staff was correcting my colorblind child in his colors, which was clearly marked on the forms.Confidentiality blatantly ignored by assistant director. She opened a sealed envelope with the center director's name written on it before I got 2 feet away.When I contacted corporate childtime with my list of concerns and why we were discontinuing care I was told I needed to contact the district manager. No direct phone number to district or email address. No apology about my experience or an offer of sending the email to the correct person.We didn't finish our time at the facility. I am was too worried about retaliation towards my child. Just trying to give notice I was given a lot of pushback. Including a parenting lesson from a childless employee.Please don't send your children here!!! Please find alternate care for your children. They are too precious to be at this awful center.

This is my favorite School love it staff is fabulous and director assistant director are Great Hands on if you need them . Children's are great and loving and the parents are great too. I would send people there. Great Two's Teachers

Some of the teachers are very rude do not smile and not friendly and the cook not friendly at all food nasty service three year room teacher doesn't smile at all Teacher in the two "s wonderful preschool teacher can't control room had to take my kids out always something everyday teacher telling stuff nothing positive

I absolutely love this school. The director Fallon and assistant director Iesha were very informative during my tour and the teachers were very sweet and engaging with the children. They have a fabulous curriculum and I am looking forward to all the wonderful things my children will be learning.
