I wanna start by Saying This is a Wonderful Place to work but it wasnt always that way The Director We had made all us as staff just Separate she was disrespectful to her staff and didn't make this feel like a Good School before Ms Carrie got to the COA this place was not a good place to work for we were not working together as a team all the teacher were to them selfs not that we have to be bestfriends but to make this the best center it can be we all have to be a unit! Ever Since Ms Carrie got here it's a Blessing to wake up every morning and come to work I'm nothing but Grateful To her for working so hard to make us all work together like a Family which is so important for a loving Functioning Professional environment for the children where they can learn and feel loved and cared for by all the staff Long story Short Thank you So much Ms. Carrie I appreciate so very much !

I moved to Charlotte and was in search of childcare for my son. I enrolled him in COA because they were the only other facility I looked at that had live video feed next to kids r kids and the the latter had no openings. I was a little shocked that the tuition was was less than $250 / week. That was so cheap. I was a little suspicious of that price. But I had a few weeks off work so I decided to spend some time with him while he got acclimated to his new school. I was not impressed with COA. The teacher for the toddler class Miss Kim was very nice. But it seems all she was doing was changing diapers and washing hands. She didn't really have time for much else. When the kids came in she washed their hands and gave breakfast. Then cleaned the table and washed hands again. Then it was time to start changing diapers and wash hands after. There was really no time to spend interacting with the kids. She seemed overwhelmed. When she would take her lunch and a young lady with braids would come to cover for her. She was so unfriendly. Never interacted with the kids. Never offered a smile. Just stood there talking to the other staff member until Miss Kim returned. I would watch my baby on the camera crying his eyeballs out, not receiving an ounce of comfort from anyone. Miss Kim couldn't comfort him any because she was too busy changing diapers and washing hands. I disenrolled my son after 2 weeks. I didn't care about the obligatory 2 week notice for disenrollment. That place is not welcoming, not nurturing. For the 2 weeks my son was there the longest he spent there was probably 3 or 4 hrs a day. I just didn't like it.

Where do I start. Before I start I will say that the best people I did encounter during my child's enrollment was Mrs. Walia who my child adores! She was the reason we stayed for so long. She's the best asset they have along with Ms. Shanelle and the admin/cook Mrs. Trina. I will always remember them and I wish them nothing but the best in their future wherever it may be. Ms. Jackie was a hit or miss. One day we would be on speaking terms other days she was in a mood. She's good for the school but not sure what she says when you leave out the door. None the less they need her to run that circus. My child took to her and she was entertaining for the kids and sometimes for me. The new director just got there so cut her a break. She's doing the best she can. This place was not the best for my child. They are short staffed and have gone through so many teachers it will make your head spin. No one is ever at the front desk stationed for questions. They have the worst workers "teachers". I've had to inquire about daily activities, staffing, and even have been turned away due to short of staff. I always felt they just worked with what they had and what they had was very mediocre. Tuition is $312 a week and when you can't get decent educators it's just not worth it. There are NO extra curricular activities and definitely NO diversity. I think most teacher use this place as a stepping ladder bc there is not one person there that has tenure. Teachers are bit consistent and I just could not take it anymore. Drop them off to one teacher and come back they're with one that you've never met or can't tell you anything your child did that day. I avoided teachers that I didn't feel could provide proper care for my child and was attacked by one, Taneisha. She attempts to educate toddlers and acts like one herself. She was the most unpleasant person there to say the least. Telling me to leave the class because I didn't want her around my child and I actually got into a screaming match with her. She even tried to insult me about my work when I've made triple her salary. I had to remind her of that. The other teacher Banisha seems to be lazy. I took pictures of her sitting down in class while the assistant did all the work They don't speak or greet your kids and seem to not want to be to work. So if they don't have time to work they should not be there. I didn't have the time to watch cameras all day so I requested my child not be around either of them. With all that's happening in the world I don't need another negative influence in my child's life. I had to contact the corporate office and report the incident and they offered to release my child without any penalties. She wasn't suspended or anything and still remains there. Hence why now I've dis-enrolled my child and have placed her in a much better daycare.I could say more but why? This is just my experience from my point of view. I'm glad neither myself or my child have to step foot back there. Stay away until they filter out the lazy teachers and get people who have a passion for kids and teaching.

First daycare my kids ever been to ! Staff was SO amazing and welcoming ! I was walking into daycares to see how they operate as soon as i walked in to this one the 2 Ms Jackie's were very welcoming It was a last minute sign up that i needed ASAP & they made it happen. Worked so well with my youngest daughter and her crying tantrums almost every morning ...it was so hard for her to be away from me . But her teacher & staff made it happen once again loved looking at the camera system and always seeing her teacher Ms Narissa being so interactive with all the kids . Unfortunately, we had to move to Texas and these daycares don't compare to Children of America in university !

This daycare has changed tremendously. They have caring and loving teachers who are professionals. They are always friendly and easy to discuss an issue and come up with solutions. Overall they are no different from any other daycare. Everything is not perfect but they do try to make the experiences whether good or bad easier and less complicated. I love all the staff, director and especially Ms.Angie. They have all had a hand in helping with the care of my great grandsons and for that I say Thank you.

If I could give zero stars I would. DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE! My two year old was phys abused by an adult in the center and all of a sudden they could not run the cameras back. They never paid attention to his allergy list and there were always issues with that. He's allergic to milk (which they give the kids all day) and we weren't even allowed to provide him with his own drinks. They literally gave my two year old water all day. There were always issues with the payment system and even if THEY made a mistake the parents are still charged . not to mention wishing the 4 months of children being there two workers were arrested for things that happened inside the daycare. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!!

This is the most unorganized place I have ever seen. The sstaff needs professional training on how to handle children. The director is never around to answer questions and the assistant director is very rude and difficult to talk to the rules and fees changes on a daily and weekly basis Parents are locked out the building and can't get in for small balances such as $20 for surveillance fee that is already in the price and then they changes to the Parents have to pay extra for it, most of the kids fees are government funded and the parents pay a portion and they still lock the parents and kids out the building until the small fee is paid without warning until they get there they then find out they can't come in the building, the government needs to investigate this daycare

Where do I begin. This center has some serious issues. I am surprised they are still open. The staff is unprofessional, rude, unfriendly, doesn't seem to care very much, they are unorganized, unpleasant, nonchalant, always misplace documents, always system issues. Nothing works. The computer to log your child in and out rarely works. Safety concern: there is no way to get to the playground for your child except through a classroom that backs into the playground, then you must hold the door open because you will be locked out and then someone must let you in. My child was there for some time, and I still got asked by staff what her name was. There is a very drab and depressing atmosphere. The building could use some work. The classrooms could use some work. Not sure what they were being taught, because I never saw anything. Her current center has a weekly homework folder, and you can see what the kids are being taught. It reminds me of a state-run hospital/nursing home/facility. Not a vibrant place for children. No one seems to care. I had to get my child out of there.
