We were excited to try this place and I became really sick after eating . I thought it was just me until my mom and sister also ate the fish and hamburgers and became very sick . So three of us are projectile vomiting due to this food , never again

It's hard for me to knock food spots. This really has the potential, it really does. Plentiful from chicken, seafood, american. I ordered the Trio. Came with Fish, shrimp and small buffalo wings. I did like the popcorn shrimp that came with his bunch. The wings were ok, not great. All of it needed more flavor. Added some hot sauce to them. I can tell it is a popular spot as the line could quickly go to the door when ordering. Food was blah./ok.Grade: C

We get an awesome-tasting meal for a great price every time. Tasty chicken. Delicious sandwiches. Fast service. Charlotte has Price's Chicken Coop. Gastonia has Chicken King. This spot of Chicken King is actually a location of a small chain based in Charlotte. Ample parking. Almost adjacent to the new FUSE stadium in west Gastonia. Solid affordable prices. Currently no seating due to COVID but they used to have a few tables in the front.

The salad's at the Chicken King my daughters go to. The chicken is what you'd expect but always hot and fresh. Same their Fried fish. They do charge for extra dressing Just a FYI.....

As a previous reviewer said, this place has potential. Especially being right next to the Fuse district. The customer service is pretty terrible to be honest. We placed our order over the phone - and one of my friends tried to order a 2 piece meal with a breast and thigh and was told "We don't do that." My friend offered to pay extra for the thigh, and was told "No." He then offered to purchase a thigh in addition to a regular 2-piece meal, and was again told "No." In what universe do you tell a customer no when they are trying to pay for a product you sell? You run a chicken restaurant that sells chicken and you're telling us no? Extremely disrespectful and poor service. Will not return regardless of meal quality. Yikes.

I have visited this greasy spoon on several occasions in west Gastonia, NC. Last time I was there I almost fell down from all the grease on the vinyl flooring when I received my togo order for calabash shrimp and when I got it home, the shrimp was soggy with grease and under cooked. The manger was rude and talked about me before I entered the door. Then after I paid in advance he ordered me to repark my truck even though there was no other customer there and there was parking on both sides of me. Do not waste your money. You will regret it. Very dirty place and they hand you your food behind a big plastic screen. Only one person was friendly to me while I waited. It won't happen again!
